it’s funny how 2 minutes & 37 seconds ago i watched the “why learning to do the splits was important to me” video and at the end it said “i promise i’ll stop talking about my splits” and then i click on your channel and the first video i see is “learning to do the splits” 😂😂😂 love you 💕
WOOW!! You are the reason I can now do a split!! I literally watched your split video last week and you inspired me to start training everyday since! And now I can do a modestly fine split!
omg I’ve being trying to learn how to do splits for the loooongest time and I’ve never actually got around it lol but I’m gonna learn it this quarantine, I’m telling y’all edit: I GOT THEM!!! if you want to try too, I’ll leave here the link to the video I used to stretch along with! it’s in Portuguese, but I think you can understand the stretches just from watching it. good luck!! don’t forget to warm up first!! 🥰 ruclips.net/video/ADlomm4P_f8/видео.html
inaaz alright! update: I’ve been stretching every day with my sister (who is a dancer) for about a week now, and although I don’t think it’s that much better yet, it has gotten a lot easier! and that keeps me going hahaha
hello everyone! I have an update for you! I’ve been stretching every day with my sister. we do about 8 stretches (each leg) holding it for 40 seconds. We usually do it around 8pm, but on Sunday we practiced before lunch, and it was so much better! I think stretching at night is kind of harder, so we’ll start trying to do them in the afternoon to test our theory hahaha I think I’m a little bit closer to the ground (just a little!), and it already feels so good. I think I might actually pull this off!
I actually train in dance and I’ve learnt from many teachers that when doing a lunge your bent leg should be at a 90 degree angle it helps bring the weight of your hips down so your hamstrings can stretch more
Haha when i was young i was flexible and got in gymnastics, but then i moved. Lost my flexibility. Like 2 years later i wanted to do cheer, so i stretched every day for 3 months and got all 3 splits. IIve kept them for the past 5 years, as well as stretching everyday of cheer season. I can go a month without stretching and when i stretch nothing hurts. Wierd flex but okay
Raquel Shaw Omddd that’s similar to meee. 2 years ago I had not all of my splits but 2 (middle and left) and I did gymnastics . And I did it for a bit but the stopped and when I tried to do the splits like seriously for the first time I couldn’t get down. Anyway, there’s not any gymnastics gyms or clubs near me as the one where they do levels closed down due to money issues and so there’s a cheer one and I’ve been stretching for a month. I got my left split down and solid which is basically already had , my right I’m really close and my middle I’m really close as well. I’ve been practicing on my jumps too and they are already improvingggg
I think a really cool tip is to use some pillows to sit on while trying to do a split. Each time you do this remove a pillow until you finally sit on the floor. This takes away the temptation to lean forward while attempting the splits. (Which is normal as usually it is the back leg that is not stretched out enough, but by leaning forward you are mostly stretching the front leg...)
I’m so glad you updated! Just letting you know that your first video changed my perspective this quarantini and now I’m making it my goal to work on my split while this chaos is happening. Thank you ☺️
i think im only making fun of it because it's past me, not because i disliked it, redoing things from your past self always just has a level of cheekiness to it
@@InternetJules yeah love u so muchhhhhh I learnt to do the splits ahhhhhhhhh my wish I've been praying to God to do it but I know how to do it now ahhhhhhhhh
I did the same thing five years ago, right before I got back into dance. Never had them when I was little in dance or gymnastics. But RUclips has so many good stretching routines, it’s not too bad to get. Just make sure to stretch it every day. I wanna be able to do a scorpion, but no progress after 5 years.T_T and congrats on getting it back so fast! Finding a routine and sticking to it is key.☺️
When you said "the long long, long long horrible journey of learning how to do a split" yah, I felt that. I'm really close to the ground now and stretching feels oddly good right now, but still haven't got my splits haha
Hi! Yeah over the past year I always started and quit my journey. I had to start over again and again and since I'm following a 90 day stretching routine now I can say: it's really about being consistent and "pushing yourself". Sometimes we sit in the splits, where it's not uncomfortable but being uncomfortable is necessary for a good result. I have my splits when my knee is turned out a bit but working on my square hips rn ☺️
I got my front splits during my Freshman year of high school. All through my teens and twenties I could easily get them back in a day or two even if I hadn't done them in a very long time. Then I turned 30. Yikes I am soooo much stiffer than I used to be, and I am struggling to get them back. I feel like I'm starting completely over this time around. So do yourself a favor and try to stay really limber as you get older and keep up with your stretching!
You need better stretches to open your hips. I would add a flounge (half frog and lounge) & an open lizards open pose with yoga blocks. That will help you keep the splits longer. It will also help with the left side.
That happened to me last year when I learned how to split Then boom all of a sudden I lost my ability to split But now I have it and it still aches at my right splits sometimes because that's not my good leg... So don't panic you'll get it back I believe in you😊❤❤
A tip for everyone trying to get their splits: elevate the leg you have in front on a book or a rolled up mat or anything like that, it helps you stretch better without exactly causing more pain.
Hello, I'm coming from your older vdo. What I wanted to ask is that, what are some of the exercises you did to flex your hamstrings for those of us who are starting and extremely inflexible? Thank you.
Just a quick tip if you are learning your splits now but don’t see progress I’m telling you just slide in the your splits and you might see a little or a lot of progress
I'm trying to become more flexible. I used these stretches for a week to help me gain my splits and they really helped 💕 I posted the video on my channel for anyone that needs inspiration to do it.
Hi, great job, but can you please make a video where you film the exercises?! I would litterly do that every day, because I'm trying to get a split now for almost a year! Thank you!
I saw your video and thought : if this girl learn to do a split, i, as a gymnast, will do it too. And now I'm doing it a week and hey, it get well 😁Thanks ;D
Not me literally blaming the cold weather on why I'm not being as consistent lol I'm scared of inuring myself though because I've pulled a hamstring before and I don't ever want that to happen get so I am taking it slower. I'm looking forward to spring and Summer lol
HAHAHHA I just had your split video from 4/19 recommended to me on my start page (which I think was because I talked about splits with my flatmate and google was spying on me :D) and at the end of the video you said you wouldn't talk about your splits anymore, then I clicked on your channel to check out your newest videos and saw this :D Daaanm sorry for that long comment haha I just think it's funny
Just a warning: DO NOT PUSH DOWN AGGRESSIVELY WHEN YOU FEEL YOU'RE SUPER CLOSE. I'm mildly flexible and after like a month I was so close and got too excited. I pushed down and just felt this awful pop, and mind you I'm 19 and 100% healthy. Anyways pulled my hamstring and had to stop for a month so be careful
The very first time I floored a split, was when my coach (I was in cheer) pushed me down, sat on my back and counted 10. I cried a little bit. ahahhaha plus, I was on my period that day. It was a real bad day. hahaha
It's not important to put your nose on your knees while stretching your hamstrings, it's important to have a flat back, that's how you get a deep and proper stretch in hamstrings, and you probably won't be able to touch your knees with your nose, but as I've said, that doesn't matter. This is not me trying to be a smartass, it's just advice to a proper stretch and not hurt yourself in the process

I've been looking for comments on how much she looks like Jennifer Lawrence.
LadySaundra SO HAVE I. I’m shook.
She actually looks like a mix of Jennifer and Jewel!
Dakota Johnson
SHE DOES LOOK LIKE HER
Yah I always thought she looked familiar

The fact that you went through a monologue just for a pun, deserves the *HIGHEST* level of respect.

You should work oversplits so that your splits look even better than they already do, but less forced if that makes sense. Keep going!!!!
When you said "the long long, long long horrible journey of learning how to do a split" yah, I felt that. I'm really close to the ground now and stretching feels oddly good right now, but still haven't got my splits haha

My dance teacher said watch T.V in the splits

Another thing to help beginners doing splits is to sink lower hold your arms up above your head and straighten your upper body.Trust me it helps 💕
Dude we need a left leg splits video!
I will try to get my splits back as well...it's been a really long time though. Wish me luck.👍

You should try to learn more about yoga and how they balance their stretches.

broccoli and beans tyyyy
thank youuu

Wouldn't it be nice if you made a video about how to write an aurora song in less than an hour?
How many days takes you to make front split ?? Not now I mean in the first time , before one year ago
You encouraged me to split!

Hi, great job, but can you please make a video where you film the exercises?! I would litterly do that every day, because I'm trying to get a split now for almost a year! Thank you!
Can you try a middle split?
i have been considering it
I love that song imma try it with my middle since thats the split I don't have.

Even though I get my split and backbend and stuff but I wouldn't consider myself flexible,I don't feel flexible
Same. She needs to ride the recommended wave and do more! I’d love a proper stretch routine vid!
I think it depends on how flexible you are at the begging a non flexible person could not do it in a week...
I can push my head into my knees and I still can't do the splits.
When you achieved the full split, could you do it without stretching first?
You were already close to a split when you started and you knew how to do a split before so it was pretty easy for you
Hey you are actually doing the lung wrong which will effect the end result if the lung was done correctly you will be able to get results faster😉
I'm terrible at the splits
Lol I loved this video very entertaining I’m subscribing 😏🥳
Just a warning: DO NOT PUSH DOWN AGGRESSIVELY WHEN YOU FEEL YOU'RE SUPER CLOSE. I'm mildly flexible and after like a month I was so close and got too excited. R u doing Alivia D’Andreas split routine?
I lost my split today ima try to get it back 😂
I can only do my left leg split and not my tight so we're completely opposites 😂
Hii amazing video just so you know ur back leg is not going fully down because u have to stretching both legs like ur right leg ❤
The very first time I floored a split, was when my coach (I was in cheer) pushed me down, sat on my back and counted 10. I cried a little bit. ahahhaha plus, I was on my period that day. It was a real bad day. hahaha
I’m working on my split
