I have an Ur-Dragon deck, and I highly suggest you swap out the Sarkhan Planeswalker and replace it with Scaled Nurturer. I have found on a game to game basis Planeswalkers tend to get targeted first, and mana dork walkers tend to get targeted fastest. While Nurturer doesn't draw a lot of attention, green tends to be important game to game, and gaining 2 life for several turns tends to give me enough longevity to balance out after my ramp.
scaled nurturer is so good. he's a dragonborn llanowar elves. lategame topdeck he still triggers all your dragony cards. the 2 life per dragon cast is just cherry on top.
A dragon i dont think you mentioned was scourge of valkas, its basically i second terror of the peak with enough dragons. Scourge of valkas + ancient gold dragon could kill someone with one damage trigger.
@@Ginkrepeerc_most of that cost can be mitigated by trading the baldurs date dragons for other good dragons. Plenty of very good dragons that can replace them in the $1-$10 range.
I think 3 mana rocks are clunky enough as it is, so even if it fixes, commander's sphere doesn't come with enough upside in my mind. I'd rather play the "new" baldur's gate 3-mana dragon releated ramp cards, especially the one that produces red mana and the dragon you cast with it gets haste. Haste is so important in this deck.
you really don't. Don't build your deck around having chromatic lantern in play. it's a singleton format, you won't have it in play on turn 2/3 80% of the game. It makes casting your stuff a bit easier, and it ramps, but if you deck doesn't function without chromatic lantern, go back and fix your manabase. play base green with rampant growth, kodama's reach etc. if you must.
Be mindful with effects from cards like urza's incubator. Ur-Dragon already gives you a generic mana-reduction. It's probably still really good in the right built, but it also doesn't help you cast big non-dragon spells (e.g. some people like Majestic Genesis, which costs 8 mana). In the same vein, delighted halfling will often just produce colorless, depending on the amount of legendary dragons in your deck. It won't help you cast a couple of wubrg dragons. Also, while it fixes even less, scaled nurturer is just too good to pass up, being a dragon is super relevant for topdecks later because he still triggers everything that cares about dragons. for actual fixing, some more 1-mana drops: noble hierarch ignoble hierarch carpet of flowers utopia sprawl (careful with your manabase here! unless you play a bunch of duals and triomes with forest types, don't bother)
Some dragons I'd recommend for the deck would be silumgar, Drifting death for a searchable board wipe with enough dragons on the field. Morophon the Boundless so you can cast all your dragons for WUBRG cheaper meaning you can realistically cast ur dragon for free with enough cost reduction, and consider Sarkhan, the masterless, scalelord Reckoner and thunderbolt Regent to add some protection for your dragons
@@LostPlaneswalker have a great day.. and I love that card I will grab Maze of ith or Gaes cradle with my Expedition map it gets any land ya it goes to hand but who cares bout that
These dragons are to slow in 1vs1. I have two setups, one for 1v1 the other for more players. There are so many dragons cost 3/4 Mana with the cost reduce ability of Ur dragon out there. For me is that the way to go
Seems like you made it as expensive and unnefective as you could trying to not raise any suspicion. Man... You could build it so much better with a much smaller budget.
This deck seems incredibly weak and slow for 2024. Cut all the signets for talismans. Cut all the big winmore dragons for tool box dragons, needs more draw power.

Thank you so much for the suggestion. That is a super cool mana dork I didn't even realized existed. I hope you have a great day!

I've been looking for an Ur Dragon deck that won't absolutely destroy my bank account. This one looks fun! I'm excited to try it out!
$600+ isn’t destroying bank account?
