Welcome back to the next video on the channel, where we look over the history of the Al Bhed. I think they are a good representation of the humans in the planet. No magical abilities, but are mechanically adept and are able to develop machina and upgrade them. Its a pity they were looked down upon but in the end, they won along with Yuna and her guardians when they defeated Sin for good. Enjoy

I hope this video helps prove of disprove my theory that the albhed are simply Future Zanarkandites who fled Zanarkand with the knowledge of what yu yevon was going to do on your dream zanarkand video lol - Ill finish writing once im done watching to find out.
AFTER VIEWING -
A) They have no magical abilities; Neither does anyone in Zanarkand at least from the displays in dream zanarkand other than the summoners who are trained under yunalesca; AND tidus' sphere grid doesnt add white magic till later on in the game if played without grinding; meaning it takes him A LONG time to learn how to use white magic and its only magic that would aid in blitzball..."Haste, Hastega, Slow, Slowga"
B) Alb may or may not have been from zanarkand; taking a group of people as exiles and due to them following him away from zanarkand after the realization of what the summoners, mages and yu yevon had planned to end the war with Bevelle changed their name. Its got no evidence but being confirmation biased imma say that the mage he fought was one in the temple who shunned his people for not being able to use magic like the blitz players and the mages / summoners; hence why most of them lived in the temple with yunalesca, because they were "Upper class"
C) Their infrastructure AND their blitzball team all share colours / Stylization with zanarkand and the abes; aside from purple becomes blue.
D) The albhed may have went to other cities and helped them build machina due to the knowledge that sin was coming but didnt want to say "Hey a big ass fucking summoner is gonna turn my whole home city into armor and a faith so you need machina to kill his ass" and cause panic

The real question is: Al Bhed are human or a related species?
WARNING!!! SPOILERS!!! :(
Seeing as Yuna's mom was Al Bhed and her father wasn't, I would say that it is safe to say that the Al Bhed are a related species. Same with the Guado, Seymour's mom was human and his father was a Guado. I always regarded Guado as being wise, since they were the ones who were the caretakers of the Farplane. I feel that the Al Bhed also serve as a stand-in for discriminated and marginalized peoples, especially since they have to conceal their features (a guard at the Moonflow dock warns you about them after the Extractor battle) and in Rikku's case, her heritage, from others. One priest (or Yevon monk, maybe?) at a temple refuses her access to a temple until another guardian speaks up on her behalf and informs him that as a guardian, it is Rikku's duty to accompany her summoner.
