In this video, we will see how to block websites in windows server active directory domain network using GPO or group policy object. there are two scenarios for blocking websites, first when we block some websites access in the network and all other websites access will be allowed, second when we allow only specific websites access in the network and all other websites will be blocked.
Here in this video, we have configured both scenarios using group policy and tested the configuration to make sure it is working properly.

Why do you configure the Proxy setting manually before configuring the GPO settings in the Server?
How the GPO settings can be applied to all the users in the group of domain/OU users?
After observing the complete video, the proxy settings which you have configured manually are working and it is irrelevant to GPO Settings, right...?

I have one question how to connect our VM machines with internet as we assigned manual IP in Server1 and client1 is using DHCP assigned IP. if I change oracle virtual box network setting from internal network to NAT or bridge then the network also changed. I stuck from this chapter where i need internet access (How to Block Websites using Group Policy Objects). Kindly guide me how to get internet connectivity.

It can be done using two ways, either modify the external network's (internet router) IP range that matches with the VMs network range and in default gateway and DNS server options of IP configuration in server put the ip address of internet router or use the IP range in VMs that is being used in physical network. You will get internet access on VMs and then you can perform this practical. Hope it will resolve your query

Hi, did you uodated group policy on both the systems? If yes and still not applied then please check after restarting the system, sometimes works after system reboot. If still doesn't work then for sure you might have missed some configuration, please follow the videos alongside while implementing. It will definitely work

Sir , I have an issue , my client virtue machine isn't using my host Machine WiFi network, how I fix this issue to verify other tasks related to DNS ( even in virtual box network settings I have enabled internal network, still facing an issue 😔)
When you set network settings as internal network then only virtual box machines will communicate. To communicate with host or external network's, please use NAT or Bridged network

Please put 8.8.8.8 in alternate DNS server option and set default Gateway as Router's IP address.

If we do an entry into the host file we can still access the FB or any website.
But if we block using group policies, it can't be accessed. Apart from this users will not be able to update host file since only Administrator or Administrator group members can update the host file
sir mainay kuch websites allow kari hai baki block, wo 1-2 din theek open hoti hai but after 5-6 days server unko b open nai honay deta , aur agr open hoti hai toh complete webpage open nai hota hai.

Please go through all the steps thoroughly and update the policy both side. Sometimes we need to restart the syatem to effect the group policy. It will definitely work

Will definitely work. Please recheck your configuration and update policy manually on both server and client. Sometime we have to restart the systems as well, check after system restart as well. Hope it will work

VPN changes IP address of browsing system not websites, so no issue if someone uses VPN as well, it will work
