May I ask why there are so many pins used? I have seen these boxes before in Osaka and they only had one or two pins per edge. Most boxes that I have seen have flat tops; it was a real surprise to watch Sensei add a subtle curve (I will try it one day). Also will there be a finish applied or left natural? I study Japanese woodworking online and am very appreciative of this work. Arigato!

素人で専門では無いので教えて頂けたら有難いのですがサンドぺパーは砂の粒子が残りませんか?シリコンの経年劣化は何年程でしょうか?イボタ蝋より優れてる点どの部分ですか?
今使ってるサンドペーパーはシリコンペーパーですので砂ではないので刃物には優しいと思います。ペーパーで仕上げた後はシリコンを含ませた布でふきあげます。蝋びきは致しません。経年変化は少ないと思います。
20分ぐらいからのとこですが刃の出方は鉋を握っている親指側がでていますか?
親指側は出していません。刃先は少し丸く研いでいます。左側を少し出しています。
足(下桟)の内側の面取りはしませんか?面取りした方が高級感が出るような気がしますが!?
する時も有ります。関東方面の方は面取りしてくださいと言いますが関西、特に京都は取りませんね。
