She's a beauty! Love that 'Rich Expresso', that color is so decadent. Was going to say, 'your swiping put me to sleep'. Like in the Very Best most relaxing spa like way. Hi Cathleen, I'm brand new to your channel and have been watching some of your videos, and love what I am seeing. I hope you don't mind me asking, what exactly is GAC?? (I'm Canadian from Calgary, Alberta) and I don't know if I have ever heard of this product before. I usually only use American Floetrol, and water with my acrylic paints. What does GAC do? Thanks kindly for your help in answering my questions... and thank you so much for all your great help and teaching. I sure have a lot to learn in the "swiping" world! :)
Gac 800 is a product from Golden Paints. You should be able to get it. It helps with cracking and crazing. Paint straight out of the bottle 😊 and wow... I think I'm sometimes to ridged in what I do. But when I'm just flicking paint around to see what happens it makes me so happy. When you did the second round of swipes, were you dipping the towel in the Azo Gold activator mix?
No Maggie. The paper towel was just damp. No cell activator.

Hi again Cathleen... sorry to be such a bother. I tried this swipe technique with the paper towel - but my paint is only Mixed with American Floetrol and a bit of water. I certainly am not getting the beautiful cell creation you are getting here. This painting is absolutely beautiful! Do you think its the Auzzie Floetrol this is giving you these awesome cells? I'm not too sure what else I might be missing? Many thanks, again. Dawn xx
Hello Dawn. No bother. I dont think I used Aussie Floetrol I would have to go and watch the video again. But my paints are very thin. If you’re not using GAC 800 with your floetrol, then you will need a bit more water. Gac 800 is thin and helps to thin my paints down. Hope that helps.
I just watched. One paint and only one paint has Aussie Floetrol. Yes it helps with the cells and lacing.
