    The paradox, with our faulty state education system the more we spend on education the less well educated our working class kids become.

      @frothe42 2 года назад +2

      The same goes in the US.

      @@frothe42 I saw some figures how much they spend on pupils in Baltimore yet they have made no improvement on outcomes for these kids. It's about more than just throwing money at the problem

      @@michaelsalt4565 The same here in New York.
      The disparaty between downstate and upstate New York education is astounding.
      I also have a friend who is in the NYC PS system, and his school is forefront on how education should be utilized.
      Unfortunately, the pandemic has also ruined our education system, as well as most uneducated parents who are set on destroying education.
      We, on whole, are too connected, and find sites and groups that validate certain warped ideals that are dangerous, which includes education. The current system needs to be scrapped and one similar to Asian countries utilized.

      Yes! And no! There is, of course a balance. It’s an extremely difficult problem, schools seem to waste taxpayers money like it’s going out of fashion. Don’t give them enough it seems the stuff they get they waste, give them too much they waste it at an even faster rate, a few years ago the local high school spent £16,000 designing a new logo! Ridiculous. Why are private & public schools better than state schools? Because with the system at the moment they have to be better, they wouldn’t exist if they weren’t better because parents simply wouldn’t pay the fees.

      @@callumhardy5098 Smaller classes. Individualised learning. More hands-on. Public schools here in the US (which, in NYS, are funded by property owners) vary, many in Republican southern states are the absolute worst, but schools here in upstate New York are not that much better. Even Catholic schools are worse upstate than downstate, but are better than public schools, especially those in cities, small and large.
      I'm not surprised how your school in the UK 🇬🇧 wasted money 💷, sake goes on here in the US as well!
