This reminds me of what happened at my mom's Church. A lady was in love with a ministerial servant and everywhere he and his wife went she followed. She lived and breathed for this man. I remember she showed up at the church and she was Escorted out, she didn't make a scene or anything but she stood outside introducing herself as his wife. This man broke down during prayer and had the whole congregation crying with him. It was borderline Fatal Attraction.
Not too long after that she died and it turned out she had a brain tumor.
My mom hosted a dinner for the woman's mother who was in the congregation, not many people showed up though, it was only seven people that showed up and that's including me, my grandmother and Mom.

Difficult people are suffering people, by all means I advocate for boundaries, but being compassionate is always good.
Thank you for sharing this story, I hope it sheds some light on how actual mental illness and delusion stemming from it (as opposed to conscious criminal behaviour) is not something one can control, and can actually happen to any of us.
I am sorry that not many people came to the dinner, however as they were judging her based on her actions alone I think that is understandable. I hope she and everyone involved are at peace now, and can only hope this serves as a good reminder of how unpredictable the human mind can become.

She’s obsessed with him. The breakup broke her. She clings to the delusion because the alternative is that she is all alone, that Simon couldn’t care less about her, that she is not loved. She needs help.

It sucks not getting what you want but if you're going to let your disappointments control your life instead of moving on then you're going to have problems. She sounds like some jealous teenager who can't take "No" for an answer and refuses to grow up.

Poor lady...its going to take time and therapy but she will be ok. It would be best if people around her could be kind and let her know that she is loved.
He most likely did say “I’ll be back with a bouquet of flowers and a limo” just so he could leave. & she has probably been waiting this whole time. He probably didn’t give her any closure. Or actually break up with her. it’s worse to avoid somebody completely rather than telling them straight up that You don’t want to be with them or you’re no longer interested….
She sees connections between things where there are none. She can't deal with what has really happened so her mind fabricates things to help her cope.
It could be a mixture of a few things. She has RS (arthritis). Some medications used to treat it are notorious for causing severe paranoia and hallucinations. I think she misses him to the point where she almost enjoys trying to find clues to find him, if you will.
@@Un1t276 yeah it gives her not only a sense of purpose but the light at the end of the tunnel to her is this lost love. So she has something to occupy her mind and she can tell herself that it’ll all be worth it eventually once she meets up with her ex.

It's a very small detail in comparison to the overall issue. A symptom. Maybe he did program her radio, but she also mentions the stations and *seeing* Simon in places while she heard the songs. So there's that fact as well.
She sounds normal but definitely has something wrong in her thought process. Scary to observe someone acting like this. Hope she will come back to reality with help.

Dr Phil makes a mockery of people with real issues. That's a huge part of his show. Not saying he doesnt help people but he's been all about using mentally ill people for ratings ever since he got involved with Brittney Spears' case years back.
Are you aware that there are people who are absolutely psychotic who deny it with every fiber of their being? Her friends have urged her to get help, but she refuses. It is surprising the number of people who are willing to reach out to Dr. Phil when they won’t accept other help. If he can get help for them I say it’s not a bad thing.

Poor lady. I think she’s slipped maybe from being alone and became delusional from just thinking about being with him over and over and over. Hopefully she got the help she needs.
I have once watching too much of "Boruto"(an anime of ninja world if you didn't know what that is ), and watching during the pandemic, struggle every months with only half of salary, (i am kindergarten teacher btw), there is moment where i feel so tired doing the online teaching that one day i forgot to even make online teachings. I just lay on bed (thank god i didn't go cray2, cause that point my mind just so exhausted, i am pretty sure i was on the edge of having mental issues), and i remembered that i didnt do the online teaching yet that day, i started making excuse in my head that i was busy protecting the village as a ninja having to fight evil celestial being. Like ,the feeling is like i really believe it and in my head, i picture myself on thr roof ready to fight in the ninja clothing.. And at that moment i having hard time to differentiate which one is reality or not, for a moment, i having quite a panicked, but then i realise that that's just my imaginatiin that overide my reality or a moment. I get a headache for a while tho, like my thoughts go, why its not real, and after a while, whrn my mind go quite clear, i just extremely concern how that i thoughts that ninja me is my reality. I shocked myself and concern ,but since it eas week ago and no attack like that happened yet, i will let it go first if it happened again, i think maybe i eill go find help. Cause its a hella one scary experience ! Still not stop watching that anime tho😂

I have musical coincidences all the time. I know I’m highly intuitive but I don’t think they are messages but it makes me laugh. For example I had a flat tire and had to call AAA. The song that came on said GET UP, but stay on the scene. James Brown. That made me laugh. My mom taught my that when you enter a community you turn the radio down. As I entered a Hispanic community the song said Suma la radio. Which mean turn up the radio. I still turned it down but again, I laughed at the coincidence

A coworker of my lifelong friend firmly believes I 'stole' my friend from her, instead of understanding that she just doesn't want to see coworkers outside of work. This coworker then chose to find and date my former prom date/friend, just so she could show up at parties where I am. She used to send random selfies of herself to my snapchat through my former prom date's account, and would always stare at me while she got 'handsy' with the former prom date. Very uncomfortable since we were only friends and not together at all. Its so uncomfortable having someone out there who thinks I control the people I care about. I am just living my life, but every now and then she will just pop up and continue this 7 years one sided "beef." I've been living in her thoughts rent free and while I do laugh it off to cope, it's honestly scary. I have an anxiety disorder that causes me to feel paranoid, so in a way it helps me to heal by understanding that none of her delusions is my fault.
