Hi Gabriele, sorry for my English, I always follow your videos which I find splendid because they show what reality is like, I live in central Italy and if I can give you some advice, one of the most beautiful medieval cities in Italy is Gubbio not far from Siena, more beautiful than San Gimignano, Spello and all those they usually recommend. If you are in those parts it is definitely worth a visit, hello, one of your fans..
Could you please kindly recommend such nice pictures interesting locations as Gubbio in Italy (maybe on Italian islands)? Thanks a lot in advance for an answer!

Thank you Gabriel, for another wonderful video! It’s fun that Anna is traveling with you for a while! She is so chill and lovely! When I used to travel alone, I’d get pretty lonely for a friend’s company, but then I’d meet up with a new or old friend. It enhanced my long trips. Many thanks for taking us along! Jul and family ❤
what I find mindboggingly beautiful in the cathedral is the Piccolomini Library, frescoed by Pinturicchio and helpers, including a certain Raffaello. It's truly a surprise especially if you don't know what you're going to experience. The (ancient, now a museum) town hospital was one of the first civil ones, and the frescoes there are interesting too, with depictions of how the town saw herself, sometimes vs the Church. For some reason, Siena has always been quite dear and familiar to me since the first time I visited, decades ago (italian here). I hope it doesn't become too visited by tourists, so that I can continue to periodically go there, experience the charming behavior of the locals (both reserved proud and very friendly and helpful, difficult to explain) and the local pastry (medieval as well, inspired from Arabic pastry of that time, too)
Was in Siena Firenza Pisa in 1997. Stayed in Florence in a hostel on the street across from the train station. On the backside of that area. Had macaroni and cheese which was macroni with gorgonzola cheese. Was good
Siena is really a very nice town and Tuscany is surely an amazing region, nice video. This town was always one of favourite cities of Rick Steves. Nice to hear that you are planning to go to Austria and Slovakia until June 20nd flights, to see some mountains, too. As this time the path is going through Northern Italy, maybe the best way could be San Marino-Ravenna-Venice-Dolomites-Grossglockner High Alpine Road-Hallstatt-Bojnice-Čičmany-Slovakian High Tatras (Tatranska Lomnica).
In Northern Italy and on that territory, I can recommend San Marino (as a country you haven't seen yet, but for me the most beautiful Italian hill town), Ravenna (amazing mosaics), Verona (amazing amphitheatre), Lago Maggiore (especially Isola Bella), Lago di Como and Cinque Terre (all 5 towns are amazing, but the most Riomaggiore, Vernazza and Manarola in my opinion) although Miramare Palace near Trieste is also amazing and romantic. But as it is Anna's first trip there, I assume that you will also visit Florence, Pisa, Venice, Milan, maybe even Gardaland (if she is an adrenaline lover). Additionally, as she speaks Spanish very well, she can also understand Italian very well and can maybe be a good companion/travel partner to visit more of South America once in future with her.
Hi Gabriel, what a beautiful city with a lot to offer. The first thing I noticed is how it is structured. The city the streets and they have beautiful modern shops and stores it's a very well organized city. The church was spectacular there's so much within Italy and you have artists like Raphael and Michelangelo and Titian. I'm glad to see you going to do a trip around the United States because I think it's underserved on the channel even though I know you mentioned that the views on that don't get seen you know don't get viewed a lot but I think the United States gets underserved because most people just think about major cities in the United States and not the countries beauty which are the incredible mountains and countryside and things that people sometimes don't get to see in the media.
Great observation. Siena always felt much better designed overall than Florence, but of course Florence gets the credit for being the Renaissance city as it should of course.
If you're headed north, you should definitely check out the Basilica of San Vitale in Ravenna. It is one of the most beautiful examples of Byzantine mosaic art in all of Italia!
Great video. I was in Siena in August 2022, really enjoyed my 3 days there. Highly recommend Osteria Bazabuf ristorante. Food and ambience was fantastic at the right price point.

Gabe, isn't it cheaper to do your dental in Spain or Germany? What I've heard it's differing a lot, of course depending on what you will do! I know an American who had some teeth removed (wisdom teeth/molar) in Sweden because it was so much cheaper than in the US, and dental in Sweden are not cheap! It can differ thousands of $!
