This is exactly it. I leave the most benign, positive comment and I get a message immediately saying I contravened their guidelines. Meanwhile, extremely hateful stuff gets recommended in feeds. Yeah, their alorythm is out of control. It clearly throttles itself up after it pegs you as a repeat offender, but you're only a repeat offender because it repeatedly and increasingly calls your non-spam spam. I wouldn't care if it was right, but when I'm only commenting "wow, the that cat hurt itself falling down the stairs?" in videos IG insists on pushing in my feed in the first damn place, yeah, that shit's pissing me off. I've decided to push back by just depopulating as much of my old comments off old videos and refusing to engage at all, even positively. When likes appear in my notifications to remind me of each's existance, I'm going back and deleting them all, basically slowly disappearing from the comments. And I'm just staying out of reels and shit so I'm not feeding into their broken games by participating. I'm using the app to only share-post outgoing (for my own art media) and am not giving them the satisfaction anymore.

I post some relavant information for the video in the comments. Mostly memes. I commented “tell myself to invest in bitcoin” on a “if you could call yourself 10 years in the past” video and it got removed. Every single comment no matter what it is gets removed in less than a minute for spam.

My account has been suspended indefinitely from commenting due to quote unquote bullying, it is currently under review, as I appealed several times, because I quite literally have not said anything to that degree at all. It racks you up as a repeat offender, and the reason you become a repeat offender is because it takes down everything. I mean I have people over here in comment sections just saying the n-word, with nothing else, just that. You have people being extremely sexist and racist in the comments, not in a joking way, in a genuine way.
