if you're going to NY, heres a couple things you may want to do! (coming from a new yorker)
- see a broadway show!
- go to museums (I suggest museum of natural history or moma)
- go to the east village for some thriftinggggg
- explore time square, be careful and don't fall for any bullshit
- take a ferry to see the statue of liberty
- def bring a camera for a photo shoot
- theres a lot of nice restaurants in the city as well so maybe ask around in your area for some good suggestions potentially from employees at your hotel/people you are seeing or staying with
- go to central park (but again, please be careful)

Tourism along with militarism has damaged the Islands and the lives of Native Hawaiians so profoundly, and after the wildfires in Lahina it is very irresponsible to travel there and take resources from the Native Hawaiians who need them now more than ever

not sure how early in advance this was recorded, but maybe reconsider the hawaii trip.. no hate, it’s just that native hawaiians have been protesting the exploitative nature of island tourism and have been asking people to stop coming

I would be careful about Hawai'i because right now they are going through A LOT and are not appreciating tourists because of limited resources. It's worth looking into what's happening so you can have a better time too

OMG FOR AUSTIN TEXAS YOU NEEEED TO GO TO BARTON SPRINGS!!!! The water is a little cold but i swear, it’s so pretty and you can see downtown as you swim around (also the bathrooms are beautiful, they’re like little courtyard sanctuaries)

If you’re coming to Austin in the fall, it might still be hot enough to swim at barton springs, it’s beautiful there! Cosmic beer garden is also a really nice outdoor place to grab drinks (coffee, boozy drinks, mock tails) and everyone always brings their dogs so it great. If you want to go to the coolest plant /Knick knack store of your life, Eden house botanical SLAPS

try to rent a paddleboard or kayak and paddle on Lady Bird Lake in Austin! its v relaxing and there's such a neat view of the city surrounding the water :)

When you go to Austin the Domain is super nice and Zilker Park. The domain is a really nice shopping center with a bunch of cool stores and Zilker Park is a park but there’s lots to do around it.

Austin tx. Swandive and cheer up Charlie’s is fun and so is coconut club. There is Barton springs.
Austin local here! If it’s still warm when you visit definitely go visit Barton Springs. Also Elizabeth Street Cafe is super cute and imo has some of the best food in the city! Also for local food Veracruz Taco truck at Radio coffee shop is cool (they play free bluegrass on Monday nights). If you like going out Cheer Up Charlie’s is so fun and they have a little vegan food truck. Also, south congress ave is fun for walking + there’s a sushi place called lucky robot there that’s really good!

I’ve already seen a lot of recommendations for Barton Springs so yes definitely that! Lots of cute coffee shops everywhere so you really can’t go wrong. There’s also Zilker Park and the Botanical gardens
On the more artsy side there’s The Contemporary (laguna gloria), the canopy (made up of a lot of different art stores, studios, galleries, and a coffee shop - CRAFT is super fun!!), & the Blanton art museum on UT’s campus (they just redid the grounds, and on the second Saturday of each month they have live music, food, drinks, etc:)
Lastly I really like Speakeasy. It’s a three story bar with live music on the first floor, bowling and stuff and the second floor, and a third floor/rooftop with a DJ!
