I don’t think he’s avoiding public interaction because he’s too ill. I believe it is because when you are undergoing certain treatments it is very easy to pick germs up from other people as your immune system is defunct. He doesn’t want another illness, even a common cold which could be very detrimental to his recovery.
Also chemo keeps you exhausted all the time until it’s over and the drugs have left your body. People sometimes try to keep going as usual during chemo, thinking that a “fighter” attitude will “beat” the disease but all that does is make them sicker. Or collapsed and hauled back to the hospital.
Now king Charles is happy
His Majesty looks fantastic - wonderful to see him again, and thank you to Her Majesty for being so supportive these past several weeks!
Im glad he is getting on and not giving up. Queen Camilla has really stepped up and showed a side of her that we all fell in love with. ❤️

@@ilovebeinagirl Its considered "disrespectful" in the setting he was in. A rope line. Not something you do when attending "knife and fork" school, which most royalty and diplomats hopefully have done and are certainly accustomed to common etiquette. Gloves is obviously an exception. Even than never in your pockets. I expect Royalty to at least practice acceptable etiquette and so should you. Just pointing out his faux pas. He is not my Royal. Have a nice day.

I believe King Charles will have a long life, just look at his genitics of his mother and father. In addition, it's reasonable to not have public duties while under treatment. His immunity will be down while exposed to the public during treatment. So, it's not just a reflection of his illness, but rather what he will potentially be exposed to while under treatment. LONG LIVE THE KING!!! So far, he's been a good king and as he did while waiting to be King, I think he can and will be a great King!

@@claireconover Respectfully Claire, Taylor Swift did something to earn her fame and notoriety. The royal family have done nothing that warrants their status, the news coverage, or any public acknowledgment.
I'm sure we agree that neither Taylor Swift or the royals deserve the news coverage that actual issues (microplastics, algae blooms, etc) do, but I can't imagine how some royal in 2024 showing up to an event is more noteworthy than your uncle showing up to your birthday party.
Really? OK, let me help you. The British monarchy is almost 1000 years old. He's the head of it. He has cancer. Cancer can be deadly. SEEING HIM tells us he's not dead which reinforces the perception of stability of the monarchy. It's good PR--if he's out there smiling it means he's well enough to smile which means he's alive, which means they still have the king they just got not even 2 years ago. If he stands out there and shakes a few hands, then the media doesn't get antsy and start wondering where he is b/c he hasn't been around for a few days to change their diapers and start conspiracy theories (remember Kate TWO FRICKING WEEKS AGO?). So that's why it's news not b/c you're seeing him do anything so important but b/c YOU'RE SEEING HIM, which means he's alive which IS NEWS since the man is 75 years old (NOT YOUNG) with CANCER (potentially deadly.) When you have cancer, it increases your risk of blood clots. You could drop dead in a minute if you get a clot in your lung so EVEN NOW KC III could conceivably go to sleep TONIGHT and die in it just like his grandfather George VI (who ALSO had cancer BTW) did.

Cancer treatment can lead to easily getting infections. Thus, staying away from others who may have infections. Fresh fruit and vegetables also should be avoided, of course he certainly has people that can clean them properly upon instruction.
