I find the comments that Dame shouldn't be in the Top 75 to be annoying. Yes, there may be a few players that could placed on the list instead of him (J. Dumars, A. Mourning, D. Howard, A. English, B. Lanier), but I've yet to see a comment acknowledge his resume. The Blazers lost LaMarcus Aldridge (a perennial All Star averaging 22 and 10) to free agency in 2015, yet they never missed the playoffs until this season (2022) with Lillard injured. They even advanced as far as the Western Conference Finals one year. Dame fully embraced the leadership role and his production went up significantly. Even before Aldridge left, Dame showed his value, being named an All-Star in his 2nd and 3rd seasons. He's one of the very few players to eliminate a team with a buzzer beater, and he's done it twice. It also doesn't hurt that he averaged 34 and 10 in the playoffs right before the Top 75 list was announced lol. Congratulations Damian Lillard! Hope you come back stronger than ever for the 2022-2023 season.
@@alfredoarevalo725 You could make a case for Parker, but in my opinion, no. He only had 2 or 3 elite seasons and was never truly considered amongst the best PGs. He also had a ton of help (Coach Pop, Duncan, Kawhi, Ginobili, etc.) I wouldn’t be surprised if someone had him on their list though.
Check the resume of Dwight howard, Tony parker, pau gasol, manu ginobili, vince carter, tracy mcgrady. I love dame, he is special for sure. But he shouldn't be there
Damian Lillard can be viewed as a killer and a savior to the OKC Thunder franchise. Because of him, they got rid of Russ and PG in exchange for SGA and a barnload of draft picks. They should build a shrine for him.
@@LeBrow420 Yes, I know. Kevin Garnett was injured that year also and it took them 7 games to beat Boston. Also, Dwight was definitely in his prime his first season in Houston. He was 2nd Team All-NBA and averaged 26 against the Blazers in that playoff series (he was killing Robin Lopez every game). Still got eliminated by Damian Lillard’s shot. I understand why you think he should be on the list, but there are arguments as to why he should not be on it also.
@@YogurtSaladLillard doesn’t have a argument over Dwight Howard. Lillard has don’t nothing in his career but won a rookie of the year award. There is no way he deserves it over Dwight Howard look at their resumes it’s not close at all
Lillard ranks 8th currently in career 50 point games with 12. Of active NBA players only Lebron (14) and James Harden (23) have more. He has more than Durant and Curry. All of which have played longer in the NBA. He is....... THE ONLY ......... player to have three 60 point games in one season other than Wilt Chamberlain. He is without a doubt a top 75 guy.
@@pdxgolfpro as I said, my favourite current player, fun to watch but definitely not in front of Howard, Ginobili and Parker... Okc litterally made the playoffs the very next year over with a better record then the blazers
Y’all overrate that shot it’s just a game winner it didn’t kill anybody or any team. Lillard still hasn’t won anything of importance
Getting Wheels on this edit was great. Not as easy as using video broadcast feed. Nice work
W vid
He’s definitely top 75, you can bring up dudes who ain’t that good all you want
He’s in my top 5 pg’s of all time
You don't know basketball.
The spot should have been given to Dwight instead
Damian Lillard literally eliminated prime Dwight Howard (and James Harden) in his 2nd season and 1st playoff series.
