    Thx for the video! Is it possible to adjust the gobo rotations as well the prism rotation? Also my moving head can show two different colors at the same time. Are these options possible?

    Hello, I bought the Light Rider last week. I installed the software on my iPad and it works. I was able to find my moving heads straight away.
    My problems are:
    1. I can't keep the interface online without losing my iPad's WiFi connection. I have to connect to the interface with the iPad, but in doing so I lose the normal WiFi connection from the iPad to my router.
    2. I can't get the software to connect to the moving heads, even if I connected everything correctly

    Hello there quick question I am new to light rider. I am curious to know why you mentioned on your video about the moving heads being in the right order. Thx

      Light Rider applies some effects across multiple fixtures so if you had four (for example) and you chose a movement effect with some shift (phase) applied, you would want the effect to be properly spread across the fixtures from left to right. Basically, you need the order on the screen to match the sequence in real life. Hope that makes sense!

    Can you please do a video on the other preset movement options?

    • @LightRiderTips
      @LightRiderTips  3 года назад +1

      Are you asking about the movement effects (swimmer, duck, dice, etc) or the options for each effect (fan, size, speed and shift)? The latter all behave slightly differently depending on the movement effect you have selected.

      @@LightRiderTips Yes, also the sweep one. Also the presets etc. For example if I wanted it to sweep the room slowly but changing from pink to blue (2 moving heads on blue the other two on pink then swapping over after they have done a full sweep of the room) can this be done?

    • @LightRiderTips
      @LightRiderTips  3 года назад

      @@richardc1983 There's no interaction between movement and colour effects, so the app will not know when one head has completed one sweep to then change colour. For that, you would need a programmable solution such as Daslight or My DMX 3.

      @@LightRiderTips So can you not build your own scenes and chases etc or is it all built in and changing of colour must be done on the fly? For example if I change the colour on the lights do they all become the same colour or can I choose different colours for each light? Can I not even have it changing colour if all the lights change colour at the same time. What I want is the lights to go from pink to blue and then back to pink etc.

      @@richardc1983 It is possible to create presets that have specific colours for individual fixtures but that's not really how the app is designed to work. It's designed to be a simple plug-and-play app for DJs. It is not designed to compete with Daslight or MyDMX 3.0 and it certainly does not have the programming features of those laptop-based applications.
      The movement and colour effects are designed to automate as much as possible for you but that means you don't have the ability to do everything you want in terms of programming very specific scenes.

    hi do u still use this software?

    • @LightRiderTips
      @LightRiderTips  2 года назад +1

      I'll be honest, not as much as I did in the past. I still have Light Rider as a backup at gigs but primarily use the Wolfmix W1 controller now. The new Light Rider Flame version will bring similar capability to Light Rider and I'm looking forward to trying this out.

    Are limitations global or per scene?

    • @LightRiderTips
      @LightRiderTips  3 года назад +1

      They are global as far as Movement Effects are concerned, but you can still store a preset with a manual override value from Fixtures view.

      Light Rider for iOS is wireless only. The Android versions supports some USB DMX interfaces. For more details, I recommend you take a look here: facebook.com/groups/LightRiderHelpSupport/permalink/266087884129950/
