When we go on vacation we have someone come check on our kitties so I always deep clean the main floor and basement area for our pet sitter benefit and make a goal to sleep in clean sheet the last night before we go and make the bed to come home to fresh sheets
You mentioned the traffic lights. My first stays in the valley started 35 years ago so I’ve seen a lot of changes. Can you imagine my husband was 76 when he passed last March he was 11 years old when he moved to the valley he saw more changes than I could ever imagine.
I am totally the same. We just went away fro the entire Thanksgiving week and last Saturday I cleaned the house including sweeping, mopping etc so that when we left Sunday morning at 5am it would be nice and clean when we came home yesterday. We had someone watchng the cats when we were gone and for the most part the house was still cleanish when we got home...I had a little to do today to tidy up...that our friend didnt do/ keep up with when were gone...but for the most part it was nice to come home to a pretty clean house
Yes, I like to clean before I go on a trip. Especially I like clean sheets and make my bed so I come home to a nice clean bed. Oddly, yes I know I’m a weirdo, I like to clean before I go somewhere because I always think if I die on the road and then people come into my house I don’t want them to say boy she was a pig!
I like u clean bfor I leave for a trip bcuz then I have to unpack & that's a project in itself. 😂 I would definitely leave my toiletries in the bag if I'm going away 2wks later. In my older age I have to admit I work smarter not harder. 🤣 Safe travels! 🚌

I clean before I leave too, I don’t want to come home to a mess and you are right- unpacking and doing the laundry is a chore in and of itself.
