Yakima Canutt did those stunts with the wagon and team in this movie. Yakima not only acted, but he was the stunt man and stunt planner for this and other of Wayne's movies. Wayne said he learned his style from Yakima.
Old Duke playing a character called Singin' Sandy. That'll do me. Imagine meeting him in a bar years later, 'I know you. You were Singin' Sandy. Wait till I tell the grand kids I met Singin' Sandy'.
Old time director was asked why no good westerns are made today,, his answer was it's not only westerns but just about every movie now day's isn't fit to watch.
I have a black and white copy -interesting to see it in colour - John Wayne was never meant to be a singing cowboy - but both songs are in a strange way memorable (I believe he was dubbed) - the film -made for pennies is also memorable
Good ole John Wayne, a Western from almost 100 years ago, these B reals had a hopeful honesty, they and he were just learning how to get the best out of these newfangled moving picture talky things but didn't they do well? Little did they know that after the Duke died it would be downhill for quality films.
this picture was part of John Wayne's probation. He was punished for the crime of his first starring role in a flop called, The Big Trail, So he was sentenced to work in these B films until 1939 when he got a second chance with Stagecoach and the rest is history.
John Wayne made a low budget film in 1934 - Randy rides alone - the opening few minutes are among the most memorable of any film I have seen
Very dark opening!
Great westerns like they used to be...
With a happy ending!😎👍❤
I think it was a happy ending....
A young john Wayne
I'm really enjoying these double uploads of Black and White versus Colorized. Really appreciate the effort 😻

Yes and when the director want him to do an undone stunt the called him Ennis which is his real first name
@@jonathanhall1825You just know he must have said sometime "As long as you don't call me p-ennis" ha ha ha

They’re not better. They’re kind of stupid. But it’s like comfort food. A box of Mac and cheese is sometimes better than a gourmet meal.
This is comedy Gold.
Um grande filme com John Wayne.

I heard that the Big Trail was good for him. Loved him in it. B westerns are my favorites.
The Big Trail flopped -but is in fact a good movie - some dreadul films make money
Tahun 1933 sudah pembuatan film, tapi negeriku jaman itu 1933 masih bernama Hindia Belanda,...
Traduzir para o português obrigada 😃👍💗

Can you colorize “Some like it hot” too? I’m a big fan of Marilyn Monroe💕
💯

I'm thinking that's Silver.
Lone rangers ride.
It ain't. This horse would have been dead by the time the Lonely Stranger came out. 20 years difference.
Que pena , um bom filme , com tanta propaganda boba ... AFF ...😢😢😢

Who's here because they thought it read "Gibby Haynes"?

That playing guitar by John Wayne is a pity.
he at leas should learn how it looks when you play. But makers of this movie take people for idiots.
This movie is very old and I'm sure they didn't think about that. The whole movie was amateurish. It is 90 years old what do you expect,
Seriously? It was all dubbed in.
@@paulajay473 Amateurish perhaps by your 21st century standards. Have some grace - the movie business was only about 30 years old at that point.
