Not much of a loving memory if you can't even spell her name.
It's crazy to see all of USA artists suddenly all for Sinead. They were mostly against her for decades because of her views on the world. For the record, I always liked her and for the most part she was right.
She's heading to Eden and they were all going down the drain. She was a pure soul, it must had been very frustrating to her, to be shunned instead of being listened to. Well her test is over, May Allah welcomes her to His great Love.

Most of them are good,, but honestly only those who wittnessed the first time Sinead sang that song know that no one else owns it like she did and no one would be able to, especially watching her singing it in her clip.
In General, after somone did a song with so much soul, and had so much impact on the music the 1st time , anything after that would be just imitating.
Sinead made a cover for this Prince song but was not trying to iimitate anything. She will be remembered for that song and no one can be remembered for it as she did.
And most importantly, I believe she will be remembered for standing up for the Truth and for her bravery.

I think it's why "Nothing Compares" is one of those songs that most aspiring artist's won't go near in these kind of voice competitions. Because if you can't do it better justice than the original, then you leave it alone. "I will always love you", "Bohemian Rhapsody," "Nothing Compares," etc. That being said I think it is just lovely that so many people showed their respect and their love, to an often misunderstood artist, by putting their own personal spin on it. I only wish she could have seen how much she still inspires and how many people still loved her. 😢

This is a tribute to one song, not to Sinéad. She had so many wonderful songs. Just because this was the biggest hit doesn’t erase that fact. If you loved this song, it is extremely easy these days to hear other just as wonderful songs by her. Do yourself a favor and go and listen to some. Start with The Lion and The Cobra album.
Every song from "The Lion and the Cobra" was better than Nothing compares to you. She was a big star around music lovers in 1988 when I saw her in concert.

It’s to bad because she should have been really boosted by her performances on the show. We should be hearing her on the radio and everywhere else.

So much has come to light about shows like American Idol & The Voice being rigged, or more practice time being given to certain contestants etc., that after awhile it would be hard to feel their musical ability is being taken seriously. I mean, who wants to be a joke at something you are so passionate about. And then add in the in-fighting among celebrity judges, the promotion of a toxic environment just for ratings' sake ... I think it's why so many people are just done with reality TV. I used to love Hell's Kitchen and then I learned that 90% of those "mistakes" that Gordon Ramsey is screaming about are intentionally staged to create drama. But at what cost? I hope Cody can find her way to releasing her music independently, similar to Ren & Chinchilla, and I also hope more and more artists will follow this trend and tell labels and agents and studios to "Fk off". This is why Ticketmaster can get away with selling tickets to a Taylor Swift show for $10k. ... For TAYLOR SWIFT?! They've all gone completely mental. At least Cody is not an over produced, over auto tuned, bubblegum replica of a 100 other artists. God forbid should the producers recognize and compensate real talent.)

None of these performers ever knew who she was probably until 3 weeks ago. I am a year younger than Sinead was & when I first heard Sinead I loved her… her voice, soul, and passion.
How do you know? They’re all singers so there’s every possibility that they knew who she was. And who cares if they didn’t? The industry crushed her career so it’s not like they would’ve had a lot of opportunity to even hear her. It’s so judgemental of you to say they had no idea who she was just because they’re younger than you. You don’t know any of them, or what they like, or what music they were exposed to. I assume you know who the Beatles are, and Buddy Holly, and so forth, right? When you so blatantly judge and bash people based on NOTHING it says more about who you are as a person then it says about them. There was no reason to even make that comment except to make yourself feel better. Your self-esteem must be in the toilet.
What a shame, the same artists and media communication that buried her and treated her as sick, crazy and a liar, are the ones that today treat her as a legend, the best composer and icon of music
