Hello Bex xxx Thank you for sharing xxx My vehicle is a low roof, swb, panel van with tail gate. VW. xxx All my vehicles have had tail gates, and i reckon i paid an extra grand for the tailgate rather than barn doors. But, you know what, Becky, ive finally 'discovered' the advantage to barn doors. So you got two built in wind breaks, and if its raining, you just put a piece of roof across the top of the doors, as in a tailor made ceiling. Then if you want a shower or strip down wash, you only need to mess around with stringing up a curtain .... Mind you, i havent got anything fance done to my vehicle - the only thing 'fitted' i have is a rear camera as i dont have any windows, proper stealth. The reason i like a stealth panel van, is that i dont draw attention anywhere. I have a Mr Buddy Heater, running off propane, along with propane cooker, and im wondering about getting a 3 way fridge. I know everybody does solar panels, but so far ive resisted in the name of staying 'stealth' . The only thing that gives me away is my german shepherd xxx Btw, i reckon cutting off the roof to do a pop top would dramatically weaken the structure .... I know we dont have much protection in a road traffic accident, but as far as im concerned a pop top is the same principle as driving a 'soft top' car - no tnx. Again tnx for sharing x
Hi Becky. Long time no see. Regarding your comments about pop top Mine cost £3600 and that's lwb You can certainly use it with either wind or rain. Which I've done few times. Nice seeing you.
Thanks for sharing! When I researched having a company to fit my pop top this is what they told me about using a pop top - maybe they were being over cautious. So it’s actually great to hear they aren’t as fragile as I was led to believe. Also that price is so much better than the quotes I was given. I’ll be posting van videos more often from now on x
Hi Becky we saw your van at the festival in September I absolutely love what you’ve done. You won’t remember us but we have a little cute Yorkshire terrier Maggie. Watching the vario build can’t wait to see how it turns out it’s a beast 🫶🏼 Love the new hair btw x
I remember you both very well, you both were a highlight of the weekend. Maggie is super cute ☺️. We are so excited to be bringing it to this years vanlife festival at Shrewsbury - it would be so lovely to see you (three) there if you’re planning to come! Thank you for the compliment - I did it myself 😅 x
This is really really well considered design Becky. It's made me reconsider my Nissan Serena - although being a statuesque 5'2", it's not wide enough to sleep width way
That’s such great news! I wanted to create a video to really ask those questions that we all find hard to answer sometimes. Esp when there are so many options! Hope it helps you define your choice going forwards x
Can those rear top boxes be accessed from inside the van? Thinking some hinged covers might enable that option. Also would the mahoosive drawer be big enough for a bike? Great video as I’m thinking of building a day. / weekend van.
I’m looking into getting a YETI GO storage box amzn.to/3Tg07s0 that I’ll mount onto the unistrut and access and open from the skylight. So easy to access and get stuff in and out this way. If the bike was a folding bike or you can take off the front wheel and fold in the pedals and unclip the handle bars it would fit. But only if it’s a medium/small sized bike. A large fat tyre bike I don’t think would fit in this drawer - however if you built the drawer specifically for the bike you had - you’ve got the perfect drawer - good luck!
Hi Becky, thanks for this very well done video in which you explain everything exceptionally clearly, surely a great help for many asking the question high-top or not.
Hey, they are completely silent - never hear anything from them, I don't notice any vibration or wind noise. This might be because they are attached to unistrut not a roof rack, so really heavy duty and sturdy

If you camp on a campsite then a side awning would greatly expand your living area

Nice van Becky, looks really good.👍

Hi Becky, great job - what is your vehicle height with the solar, can you still creep under the 2m car park barriers ?
It’s still super low profile. I’ll check and measure the total height for you 👍🏻
Beautiful van :) loving the moohasive draw!!!
Oh yeah, it’s a biggun! 😛
Hi ya , quick question , does the solar make a noise when driving , i've had vans with roof racks on and the wind noise is very loud
Hey, they are completely silent - never hear anything from them, I don't notice any vibration or wind noise. This might be because they are attached to unistrut not a roof rack, so really heavy duty and sturdy
A ... " Really Useful " video 👍🙏 ... Painswick Beacon ?
Yes, I love walking there 🙌🏻❤️
Hi, was just curious, does the Sacred Goddess patreon page not exist anymore?
It’s on hold at the moment, but if I get enough demand for it again - I will consider re-opening it 😉
Would you still be interested it it were?
@@SACREDTRAVELLER I would yes, maybe put it as a separate tier on your main page?
Sacred Goddess will be re-opening next week. All previous content will be there and then a new video will be online by the end of the month (I hope)
Have you split from Mel . Good video as always.
No way - he’s the love of my life, we are just perusing our own things right now. I’ll be working on dragonfly with him next week x
Bad luck mate. Keep dreaming!
@@shieldaigbencher hahaha
To answer your question in the Thumbnail;” HELL NO”!!!!!!!
This is to help people that DO want a low roof camper 👍🏻
