Need For Speed Payback - Defeating The Drift King Aki Kimura's 750,000 Score [Hard Difficulty]

- The Drift King challenge is the final event for the Noise Bomb Drift League.
Defeating The Drift King's score in Need For Speed Payback is one of the most challenging events you may encounter in Hard Difficulty. It's quite difficult to beat with a low level car, you need to have high performance levels so that you can maintain better average speed to hold x4 multiplier. Preferably having accel and nitrous bonuses. Played using keyboard and manual transmission.
One tip is at the final roundabout turn just before the finish line, you can actually loop 1 more time for extra points.

Drift in this game looks like driving sideways with a matchbox.
The drifting in this game sucks, I owned this track with a almost completely single drift, still the game thinks this is better. 90% of the time his car wasn't even really drifting, although the game said it was. Drift mechanics suck so hard

Aki sure kept some of his gold eggs in a few buskets even after losing his car , and still we get to to see him roam Fortune Valley 10 years after the events of Pro Street , racing a British dude who beat him with a NSX-R

Yeah the dialogue was nice and wholesome but the mission itself not so much lol. I played this mission on medium difficulty 23 times in a row before switching to easy mode cuz it almost cost me my sanity.
Bear in mind I was in a really souped up 1999 skyline it was level 291 or something like that.

Nice job ISuck! Somehow I think just from watching this there is more of an incentive to actually perform better because in the previous NFS games you just have to trip the curves and the target score felt like almost nothing to achieve. But seeing how intense if you have to do micro drifters on narrow streets, that's actually skill. I don't have the game yet by like where this is going.
In the previous NFS it was easy to beat the original campaign but later on they added prestige mode and getting the gold medals there in the drift events was actually very challenging too.
Edit: I was referring to the one from 2015/2016, not all previous NFS.

i dont see any skill here, he is going into turns at a much higher speed than he should be and the game is slowing his car down for him. he also has shit lines.

Great video man and the music is dorifto it self when you racing but damn downshift a bit in some hairpins and upshift once you rev it up to 7k or 8k rpm so you can have a better inertia other than that great video and good memories from prostreet keep it up

If you get a drift chain larger than 300k you will trigger a special voice line from Aki. Easier to do towards the start of the race.

I had to change difficulty to easy for this one, I kept bumping something and losing my multiplier 😒. Also, is there any reason to use higher level cars for drift runs? I had an easier time with a like 100 level beater than with my derelict supercar on these ones
