Several witnesses saw Depp and Brooks the whole time and all say that there was no assault on the crew member. Brooks can also be seen smiling in a photo with Depp, later the same day, which would be weird if he'd just been assaulted by him. The whole thing was bogus and the case has been settled.

The idea that Schumer was "paid for" is pure garbage.
