Similar thing had happened to me, I had landed in Karachi after staying few months there I had decided to go to Malaysia but before my departure, I had given my NICOP for renewal which still had three more months before expiration. NICOP office had given me a photo copy while they were renewing my card and had told me that I can use this if I had needed to travel. On my returned I had used that photocopy to fly back to Pakistan. Malaysian government didn’t have any problem with me flying on a photocopy, nor does Sri Lankan government but when I had landed in Karachi, FIA had given me hell even though I had told them my NICOP is being renewed and I had been told by NADRA that it would had been ok to travel with photocopy of NICOP but these FIA people were out there to make money by hooked or crooked. This FIA officer had started harassing me, saying we will deport you back to US because US deport our people, they even had called the airline crew to deport me and they had started asking me if I have had return ticket or money to pay for the return ticket. I had told them I have had nothing, go ahead deport me. After all sort of shouting and yelling, FIA had decided to gave me temporary visa, during that process, FIA had checked in their computer and had told me that my NICOP was still good but they still had continued with my temporary application, which wasn’t needed anyway. After all paper work processing they had taken me out for photocopies and I had been told each photo copies cost fifty rupees and I had to pay RS 300 for photocopies which I had seriously doubted that cost that much. Finally I had to leave but this guy had been hanging out with photocopy guy. Guess what, he had wanted most of money back from photocopy guy except RS 30, which would had been the fair price of photocopies. Most disgraceful thing I had noticed in the whole situation, guy had black marks on his forehead due to praying five times a day. What was I ironic here, in western countries people work two or three jobs to survive, but these people would rather steal than working hard for it. What a low life scum bags.

You should always have original copy. If expire than you should get visa, that's it, no excuse and stop blaming others and you give them chance, so they make money out of these situation.

Same as Zafar Khan mentioned below, in 2012 when I flew out to Oman from Karachi airport, I found out upon arrival at Muscat that My wife's Gold Jewellery from my hand carry bag which I left along with other suitcases and baggage mistakenly, was taken out. The interesting thing was that there were 4 boxes of jewellery with 1 Gold jewellery and other silver jewellery, they picked up only Gold from the last bottom box and the other jewellery was untouched. I remember when I finished scanning the belt, he told me, sir you can go now", I was surprised that why he is saying me to go that early so that he can remove the jewellery from the bag upon my leave. Definitely, I was not gonna stand there the whole night. It is true that this could only happen at the scanner stage the only time the baggage was not under my control. Please be aware of leaving Gold in baggage. always carry jewellery in your hand. I Swear, if I found that guy again, I will punish him on the spot.
Why don't FIA officers display their name badges on their uniforms? What are they scared of? If the passengers have every documents correct, why he paid the bribe. These FIA officers can only do this with " paindus" , as they know that they can't stand with the the people from cities .

I only used once Islamabad airport. The staff is hungry for money and goods. I never used Islamabad again. I always comes through Lahore. Never have any issues. Staff is good too. Some time staff get anger but it’s normal they dealing so much in a tight space. I wish they get good air port as Lahore airport deserve a better place.
I was coming back to Canada last Nov and these guys held me for two hours almost. They kept on giving me my passport back in unique ways but didn't ask for anything upfront other than some bs slips which don't exist. Now after watching your video i realize they were asking me for rishwat 😂
