Getting rid of the X-T20?? Sacrilegious. BUT WOW! A photo RUclipsr that actually is USING A CAMERA?!! Amen, brother. Way too much specs and announcement videos lately. Great to see some photos.
I admit that I bought my X-T20 without much clue (many thanks goes to fuji guys in my hometown). But you two and your video posts made me realise that I made a right choice for me and I get more joy out of my gear and photography. So thank you both guys.
Guys, guys! I just came home from my first shooting with the X-T3! Mountains at sunset + Velvia + Color Chrome = 🤤😍 but I have to say that the shutter button drives me crazy … it's too soft! The X-T20 may not have that color chrome effect, but the shutter button will always be "da best". She's definitely going be with me next weekend on my trip to Austria in place of the X-T3 😎
I'm amateur photographer and started studying photography more seriously about 2 years ago. I shoot with a Nikon d5300, which I really like, but I decided it's time for an upgrade and I started saving money to go mirroless full frame, maybe Sony. A photography teacher that I know, however, recommended me Fuji (despite not being FF), and while researching about the system, I found your chanel. Man...you gave me not only several reasons to believe in the system, but also amazed me with the quality of your photos. There are a lot of youtubers out there doing good gear reviews, but very few of them actually produce remarkable images (imo). You rock! Congratulations for your work!
Thanks for your kind words Jefferson! Best of luck with the purchasing decision. The good news that you really can't go wrong. Sony is great too. Just depends on what features you prioritize. And it helps to be excited about the gear also.
Kinda weird because I own both cameras, but the Nikon D5300 takes better pics. The fuji is close, but it is a lot smaller and easier to travel with. But it wouldn't really be an upgrade for you if you go from D5300 to the XT-20.
Omg! Finally someone who said what i feel! I don't like to pour hours into post processing and i like the pics that came out of fuji straight up. And thanks for showing the pics on kit lens
I saw this channel and this video after I bought my XT20 a year ago and never realized that this content is almost 4 years old and keep watching it ever since
I bought my XT2 with a 35mm. I've been watching a lot of 18-55mm reviews and this is the best and my favorite! Thanks for your hard work. So inspiring.
I really understand your passion for this combination. The 18-55 is so versatile, rewarding with high quality images. Stitching images together is so simple to do and saves carrying a wider angle. Personally I love legacy lenses in particular the Nikkor 50mm 1.8 pancake lens. Older lenses feel so right on the Fuji X cameras. Great YT vid a 👍🏻s up from me
Another great video! You are the living proof that it’s not the camera but the photographer making excellence! I totally agree with your “less RUclips more photography” and “Fuji-jpgs instead of raw conversion” statements! Keep up your beautiful unique work!!
Your comment really struck me. I don't think I've ever actually written or shot anything this long and gushing about the actual love of my life (my wife). Haha. I know your intention wasn't to make me feel guilty, but man. I need to be a better husband!

i'm finally gonna buy my first ever camera, Fuji X-T20 today! So Excited! You're channel along with Omar Gonzales' helped me on my decision. Can't wait to shoot using it and Do Good With My Camera.:) God Bless!
Lots of people have been calling the XT-20 a “starter camera” or a “second body” but I take this thing on professional shoots and love it. I also think a beginner can get started with some of the top tier pieces of equipment and get the hang of it in a couple of weeks. Just a thought, love your work!
Hi nice to hear that you're using xt-20 for professional shoots. I also have an xt-20 and is starting to think if i could make money out of taking photos. I just need an opinion from you though. Does xt-20, not having a dual memory card slot, bother you from taking it into professional shoots at the very least?
As someone who travels full time and has been snapping photos with an iPhone for years this is exactly what I needed. Thanks for a wonderful video! Time to spend a little 😉
As a fellow lazy landscape photographer I totally relate to how you were feeling at 5:45am scene. This morning I got up at 6:00 to go capture a sunrise nearby my house. It was ROUGH getting up an hour and a half earlier than normal as a night owl. Still, even though it was not easy to get up it's always worth it when you're shooting.
This is a great video!!! I just purchased a used X-T2, upgrading from a X-T10. Your observations on some photographer not being concerned with editing and raw picture processing are still true today. I've always loved the Fujifilm color science and their pictures straight out of the camera are incredible. They're the experts on color, I consider myself the composer of the shot. We work well together...
This is the best review I've seen and love that you made it travel specific. So excited to use my Fuji in my travels now! THought I'd need to get another lens but I think the kit lens will be all I need!
I have a Xt2 and I can confirm every word. The shooting experience, the touch and feel is something that all those people with fisherman vests with filters in every pocket and bulky Canon bodies will never understand.
I like how your video was more about what we can achieve with the limited list of components. Many RUclips videos end up discouraging me due to the potential cost of getting all the gear. You make it looks like a lot of good stuff can come from 1 camera , 1 lens and a tripod maybe. Thanks 😊
Thank you for this incredible video! I sold my first camera, a micro 4/3rds Olympus Pen, because I felt that I couldn't learn as much on it. Everything was in the menu and there were no dials or even a viewfinder. I've been going back and forth between the XT2 and the XT20 and I think this video helped me make my decision. While I love the weather sealing and the joystick of the XT2, I feel like it may be too much camera for me, as I'm still starting out. I wouldn't call myself a total beginner but I'm not quite ready to dive into full manual shooting. I hope that the XT20 helps me get out there and have some fun exploring and being creative. You also can't beat the size of it, as I'm solely a travel/street photographer. I entered the giveaway, crossing my fingers that I'm the lucky one!
Love the simple yet informative way you showed your love of photography and this camera kit. I have had many Nikon cameras over the years. Great cameras all. But last year I moved to Tashkent, Uzbekistan to teach. I was excited about getting some unique pics and videos. However, my Nikon was stolen at an airport. I was cameraless (is that a word?) for the 1st time in many many years. Felt empty. So I jumped online and took a chance at buying a used and fairly old Fuji Xe1! My first mirrorless nonNikon camera. Same kit lens! The world changed, man. I was whole again and having more fun taking pics than I had had in a very long time. Because of this wonderful experience, I just bought a Fuji X T20. Its ordered. Can't wait to use it while I'm posted far from Ohio.

@@-grey so you think that people are gonna stop editing pictures and the camera processed images will be the future? why should that be? editing pictures is a creative process on its own just like how taking the picture itself is..
just started using the x-t20 and I have the 18-55mm , just came home from travel and I don't even get close to that landscape picture you got in Grand Canyon, I do have some good shots, but 18-55mm has not blown me away IQ wise, epsecially in the far like 55 mm it tends to get soft and blurry, I do manually setting and focus, buuuut you are right the colours are so good when I nail the picture and the t-x20 is a near perfect travel cam. Thanks for really good videos.
Superb shots you got there sir.. I've have been saving like a year or two just to get this beast.. i hope after 2 months my savings would be enough to buy the xt20 which is my very dream camera.. :)
DENAE & ANDREW, thank you guys very much for you excellent service. After using your lens guide and watching your videos I whitled my choice of video work down to 1 lens, this18-55mm f2.8. I used your guide to the max & spent time accelerated by it searching for prices.. then BAM I found a low cost brand new version for 292 pounds on eBay. I immediately pulled the trigger on the last one. SUDDENLY Im into FUJIFILM. Thank YOU! Will sell my Canon 50 pancake and sigma 17-50 F2.8 EX DC OS to raise cash for it. OK now the camera... lol X-S10 I think. Im so ecstatic. That was the power of YOUR videos I binged over 6 hours. Thanks again guys. Paul. UK
Took a leap of faith while being on travel & bought this kit today. my very first camera . Omg... nervous & excited :) Lol... you have a great thing going on here... Good vibes, Great vids, clear advise, for a newby like me... it worth a lot. Thanks for the efforts!
Love, love, love my x-t20 for all the reasons you list. Awesome travel camera. So fun to use, amazing image quality. Question: Do you know of any web-based program I can use while on the road to stitch together photos?
Oh yeah! You know what you’re talking about, definitely!! I’m an X-e2 owner and I completely agree!! But what a luck to be near these landscapes!!😄👌🏼👌🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
I really love the idea of 'not just as a tool, but also as a companion.' That's how I've felt about my 6DmkII lately. It's a million percent not perfect, but it just works for my shooting.
I've been inches away from buying the 6dmkII several times since its release. Best vlogging device in existence. We got our start on a pair of 6Ds (for portrait work).
Denae & Andrew I'm working on a big video review comparing the 6DmkII to the 5DmkIII- both really mean a ton to me. The 5DmkIII was the first "big boy" camera I bought hhahahah
Denae & Andrew The 5DmkIII really was with me during a lot of defining moments for me as a creator- some huge moments while filming, my first Milky Way capture... It's very near and dear to my heart. And in regards to Fuji, that XT3 is pretty tempting haha
Having just returned from 3 weeks in India with my Fujifilm X-E3 and a collection of small travel lenses ( 18-55, 35 f1.4, 50-230 and 9mm Laowa ) the 18-55 got used for over half of the photos, and was perfect as a walk around lens.
yeah, you can find me here : instagram.com/ajecaldwell/ everything on there going back nearly 2 years is shot with Fujifilm gear, starting with the X-E2 then the X-E3, and there might be some X-T2 shots as well
Roni I use them for different things, just because of the way I have them set up. The XT2 is my work camera ( weddings events etc ) with the battery grip permanently attached, and the XE3 I use for my personal / travel photography. The focus and build is much better on the XT2 , but I prefer the style and size of the XE3. The best thing about the 2 systems is that the images look the same from both of them.
Best camera review so far, as Omar said someone who takes and show some picture of the Beautiful country👍🌟 "By the way, more video like this please :) "
Great video, one of your best! And so nice to see you on a Triumph! Made in Hinckley, Leicestershire, England very close to where I used to live. It's a couple years on now, but this Fuji kit is still easily available on Amazon and eBay. Thinking of grabbing one myself, maybe when quarantine has finished. Meanwhile still playing with an X-S1. It's got limitations for sure, but also so adaptable. Great in manual settings, but also often worthwhile to put it on full auto - and he surprised! The surprise may be that it chose HDR when you hadn't thought of it, or portrait scene more when doing a macro. I've lost count of the times when the auto scene selection chose something I would never have considered, but the results were really good. So it's worth playing like this in addition to the planned manual. And the Velvia, Provia and monochrome profiles are to die for...That alone makes me want to stick with Fuji. Just wish there was an Agfa CT18 profile also... But Agra ain't Fuji. Maybe someone will invent a present for Lightroom or Affinity...
Loved this video Andrew, brought back some fond memories of my only trip to the states, actually did that trail, the views were amazing. If only I had known how to do time-lapse back then. Thanks for the memories!
I initially disliked the channel and all that talk and journeys etc and wanted to learn quick because had a trip planned overseas and couldn't control the impulse thus left a neg comment in one of your videos. I am slowly getting into the scene and realising that learning photography is a journey and there is no shortcut to it. Love your channel and videos.
WOW... I love this video, GREAT job Andrew to tell a story like this! This is such a nice video to look at, covers all the things you need to know about the camera and the lens in a very nice way. Easy to digest, easy to understand, you're a real story teller. Love your bike, love your pictures and love your music. I already decided to buy this camera and lens for our trip to Vietnam next year (since I am tired to carry the Canon 6D with 3 lenses), but now I even look more forward to this little beauty (and the trip of course). Thanks a zillion for this video, wish we had more of those on youtube. Congratulations out of Belgium!
Fab video...because it shows who you are and what you love...and isn’t that what a camera should do?? Those colors!!!!!! This is what I have been searching for...tired of videos with spec after spec....you showed me the camera’s soul...but my worry is,,,will it overwhelm me? I am going to England to my son’s wedding next fall.I would love your input...could a 66 year old figure it out...a young one!? Thank_you! Gorgeous and enjoyable!
Thanks Betzie. The good news about this camera is if you ever feel overwhelmed by the settings or confused, you can always just flick it into full auto mode, point and shoot and still get great shots.
This looks like it was a fantastic trip! I love your video work because you're such a good story teller. Thank you for showing the images you capture along the way, too. They are superb! I am always educated and entertained when I watch your videos. Thanks for putting out such quality work!
Great video again, Andrew. Really enjoying these bike videos and it's good to see a series about photography in the recent deluge of camera releases. The music is great as well. When's the next one? You need to earn some more husband points ;) Also, is that a Gordy wrist strap on the Fuji?
It has been a bit tiresome, hasn't it? Hopefully I can stay grounded when we get the X-T3 in a couple days :) That wrist strap is actually a Hyperion strap. Company out of Greece. Hand made and very affordable. Just takes awhile to get them. :)
Ah, not heard of them. Looks a nice strap, might have to check it out.I picked up an XT3 last week, I think you will like it - I am having a lot of fun with it. I haven't had any lock up issues with it so far. Only gripe has been that the images have been slow to display on the LCD (which was like the XT2). Otherwise, all is good!
I can’t speak to the XT20 as I only have the XT2 but everything you said about the 18-55 was spot on. I have several of the Fuji “pro” level primes but the 18-55 gets more action than any other lens. I fully expected to be selling this little lens but there is no way I would part with it now after using it for the last 18 months.
I agree with everything you said! Just got back from the grand canyon and sedona with the x-t20 and 18-55. Used the auto lever for video and it worked well. Exposure comp dial still works in auto too so that helps. Think you'll go for the 16-80 f4? WR would be a nice addition but only for x-t2 or 3...
I did not realize the exposure comp worked with auto mode. I think I'd have used it more. For me personally, zoom lenses don't hold any interest unless they have image stabilization. I prefer to roll with a variety of fast primes if I don't gain any stabilization.
Such an amazing video! I just purchased the X-T20 and this will be my first camera other than the one I’ve been using on my phone. Was looking at the X-T30, but figured I could invest the extra money into some cool lenses! What do you think?
Stumble across this while doing my homework about the Fuji system before I invest... gr8 vlog and absolutely love your colouring and style... found it helpful and have clicked the sub bottom 👍
That frame at 6:41. Awesome man, I just found your channel and your photos are amazing. Like a breath of fresh air. Keep it up man, you got 1 more loyal subscriber.
If you watch and use iphone, you know this camera is equivalent to iphone 6s. Its the greatest phone that apple ever released. Not the most powerful but the best . Same goes to this camera to fujifilm. Great sensor, great video capabilities, looks great. Its perfect. I used both iphone 6s and 6 before, and now im using xt10. Its the exact same comparison! Xt20 is definitely the camera i will upgrade to, and hold on to it until it breaks.
Great video, also good taste when it comes to motorcycles and camera gear. I believe if you were in Europe driving a car, you will choose something authentic and special like Alfa or Maserati, maybe even old British small roadster. 🖖

Omg! Finally someone who said what i feel! I don't like to pour hours into post processing and i like the pics that came out of fuji straight up. And thanks for showing the pics on kit lens
This kit lens is by far the best "kit lens" I've ever used. I agree "kit" has a bad connotation. This is far superior
Same opinion of the Sony 18 - 55mm kit lens that came with the Sony Nex7.
Very well said. The 15-45 PZ XC lens is more of a true kit lens with its plastic body.
If only some othwr manufacturers make an f2.8 all the way equivalent, then it's golden.

anyhow I never test prime lens with F 1.4 below some of reviewer got result of viltrox adapter (focal reducer) got over light came into their adapter and effect image mad clouded light on image, because there have problem with light shield between adapter and lens gap,(they tested on Viltrox Cannon to Sony reducer for they new produce EF - FX2 [focal reducer] their not have any test result)
but my Kipon [focal reducer] I was tested with Sigma 50 F1.4 there not have problem with the light sheild
@@NattapolPhorueng Thank you for the information. It sounds like a good option to use canon lenses.
Thanks for really good videos.
do you have the f2.8-4 or the old one?
I have the f2.8 - 4.0
I felt the same but the more I got to grips with it the better I got. Good luck.
super clear review, it was great to see the x-t20 in action in so many different contexts
I couldn't agree more with you, I thing that your set up is a very smart and practical choice for travel photography.
Superb shots you got there sir.. I've have been saving like a year or two just to get this beast.. i hope after 2 months my savings would be enough to buy the xt20 which is my very dream camera.. :)
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and for sharing your road trip, now I just need to convince my other half to let me loose for a few days....
This is the best and most informative video about this camera and lens I've seen!
Paul. UK
Took a leap of faith while being on travel & bought this kit today. my very first camera
. Omg... nervous & excited :) Lol... you have a great thing going on here... Good vibes, Great vids, clear advise, for a newby like me... it worth a lot. Thanks for the efforts!
Thank you! And enough that kit. Would love to hear what you think
Love, love, love my x-t20 for all the reasons you list. Awesome travel camera. So fun to use, amazing image quality.
Question: Do you know of any web-based program I can use while on the road to stitch together photos?
I love your common sense style of review. thanks for the honesty and THANK YOU FOR NOT PIXEL PEEPING!!
Looking forward to knowing who will get the camera
Love the adventure filled review. And the music...has Breaking Bad undertones.
Awesome shots! Would love a video in which you go over your film settings for those jpegs! Especially the landscape ones.
My sister shoots with the 5dmkiii. She's an editorial, childrens photographer. Gets published regularly. I can't get her to touch a Fuji camera. Haha.
Denae & Andrew The 5DmkIII really was with me during a lot of defining moments for me as a creator- some huge moments while filming, my first Milky Way capture... It's very near and dear to my heart. And in regards to Fuji, that XT3 is pretty tempting haha
This was my first mirrorless camera. It’s amazing overall
Having just returned from 3 weeks in India with my Fujifilm X-E3 and a collection of small travel lenses ( 18-55, 35 f1.4, 50-230 and 9mm Laowa ) the 18-55 got used for over half of the photos, and was perfect as a walk around lens.
Would love to see your images. Do you have them on IG?
yeah, you can find me here : instagram.com/ajecaldwell/
everything on there going back nearly 2 years is shot with Fujifilm gear, starting with the X-E2 then the X-E3, and there might be some X-T2 shots as well
Bravo!
@@AndrewCaldwell do you like XE3 more than XT2?
Roni I use them for different things, just because of the way I have them set up. The XT2 is my work camera ( weddings events etc ) with the battery grip permanently attached, and the XE3 I use for my personal / travel photography. The focus and build is much better on the XT2 , but I prefer the style and size of the XE3. The best thing about the 2 systems is that the images look the same from both of them.
ohhh mann... what a beautiful place and what beautiful colors.. I'm so drawn to fujifilm..
When I got my Fuji they called me hipster, once one of my friends used it, he understood why I’m so in love with it... it’s fun to shoot with it!!!
Best camera review so far, as Omar said someone who takes and show some picture of the Beautiful country👍🌟
"By the way, more video like this please :) "
thank you, I just got my Xt20
That was fun..looking forward to getting my first fuji.Saving up for it.👍
Great video, one of your best!
Alas, had to sell both the camera and the Triumph. But that cannot diminish the greatness of both. :)
Loved this video Andrew, brought back some fond memories of my only trip to the states, actually did that trail, the views were amazing. If only I had known how to do time-lapse back then. Thanks for the memories!
All and all, this is a great video. I want this camera.
I certainly don't expect everyone to like our channel, but I'm pleased to hear it's grown on you. Or especially, that you've found it helpful. //A
Thanks for your kind words Bart!
Thanks for letting me know this!!!
@@AndrewGoodCamera
Wow, best camera review ever. Hands down
I love your pictures soooooo much, made me buy the xt30 and will get the 18-55 as first lens!
Thank you!
Would love to see a video from you that went over your fuji settings and setup!
Nice trip! Greetings from Portugal! 🇵🇹
Zion is looking great! Hope you enjoyed the trip there as much as I always do :)
This looks like it was a fantastic trip! I love your video work because you're such a good story teller. Thank you for showing the images you capture along the way, too. They are superb! I am always educated and entertained when I watch your videos. Thanks for putting out such quality work!
Thanks for your kind words Grant.
So I’ve just had my dad’s camera, the d5000. Moving to the xt20! Kinda nervous to see how much better it is with a bigger sensor.
I'm jealous, cool bike, cool car graveyard and cool camera! 😊
That video shoot with your bike is AMAZING. What shutter speed and frame rate did you use with it?
I just bought X-E3 + 18-55MM. Love your work and all the help! Sub'd.
Interesting how fast you went to glowing praise to calling us "cringeworthy".
6:47 fuji x-t20 brought to you from chevy (love the cars)
Amazing video! This was so much fun to watch. Great storytelling and awesome shots man!
Thanks!
I carry the same ,very powerful and small . I have the 35mm prime also ..now thats a small powerful package .
Nice work and inspiring! What camera are you using for your vlog? The high contrast and color looks spectacular!
Sony a7iii
Awesome photography! Thanks for sharing your trip. Would really like to travel trough Utah once in my lifetime :)
A pleasure to watch this video! Really brings over your enthusiasm and passion - keep on.
Great review and love that hike in Zion.
I can’t speak to the XT20 as I only have the XT2 but everything you said about the 18-55 was spot on. I have several of the Fuji “pro” level primes but the 18-55 gets more action than any other lens. I fully expected to be selling this little lens but there is no way I would part with it now after using it for the last 18 months.
i love the way you do review, subscribed to see more!
Another great video, Andrew. Thanks for helping me pass the time on another flight!!
forget it bro, im calling fuji. you should be on payroll. fantastic vid.
I think it's a great idea, how is the camera?
I switched all my gear to Fuji last year. The only thing I miss is the gorgeous EVF in the Z7.
Stumble across this while doing my homework about the Fuji system before I invest... gr8 vlog and absolutely love your colouring and style... found it helpful and have clicked the sub bottom 👍
Lovely bike and camera 👍🏼👍🏼
Spot on Andrew, great content and advice. The XT3 with the 18-55 I have (amongst others haha) is a sweet little travel/hiking combo.
That frame at 6:41. Awesome man, I just found your channel and your photos are amazing. Like a breath of fresh air. Keep it up man, you got 1 more loyal subscriber.
Pretty cool info, i'm considering buying a Fuji X-T20 for my travel videos
Thanks for getting up early for us andrew 😃👌
Magnificent , i'm gonna buy an x-t20, thanks for all 😉😉
Really Beautiful!!!
Is it a travel vlog or review!!!
Excellent job on this video! I love jubk yards too.
🖖
Thank you for introducing me this camera. Can you tell me what kind of mode do you use? And do you use light room classic ?
i was just in Zion on that same bridge a couple weeks ago!
Nice! Hopefully it was less crowded for you when you went than it was for me. :)
Your shots are AMAZING!
This was a great entertaining and informative video. I myself am leaning toward the fuji xt100 for the the tilt screen for street photography. Good video.Good message. Thanks
