"Jeremy" is one of thier best and most thought provoking song, in my opinion. It really speaks to the issues of mental health, effects of neglect and the violence that come come from ignoring it.
I understand WHY people love the unplugged version but THIS is the version I first heard and grew up with. It will always be the "definitive version" to me. It feels like most of the unplugged fans are younger and didn't hear this version first.
For me, this song was just an interesting toe tapper. But then I heard the unplugged version, and fell in love with it. And that made me love the studio version finally.
Great video. You would love the live unplugged version. His emotional state is more present and he preformed with the flu. Can’t wait for more reactions
The below comments are not exaggerating the difference between the Studio Version and the UNPLUGGED. They are truly Chalk and Cheese in terms of emotion which is why it gets so many reaction videos done on it
Jeremy uncensored video by these guys will snatch the soul right out your body!!! Trust me on this one Rosalie, Ive never let ya down yet and its topics that need you to discuss! Love ya
One of my favorite bands of all time! @Rosalie, for deep, meaningful lyrics, check out, well everything from these guys,, 😜😜 Given to Fly is a good continuation.
Gotta watch the unplugged version... seeing him get lost in the song is incredible, and he sounds the exact same as the studio version... the 90s had SO much talent!
The *second* the video started I thought to myself "man is she going to be inundated with 'you should have done the unplugged version!'" Even if you don't do it on your channel, you should watch it just for the experience. There are few performances that exude emotion the way that one does. This is an iconic 90's album and Eddy Vedder's voice is amazing. Great reaction!
Since the day Pearl Jam came out with their first album I've been a hardcore fan I listen to the song on The Daily and I never heard somebody put it into contacts like this Beautiful Soul I think she's got it on point
Jeremy is definitely the next song i recommend checking out. The music video on it is best because it adds so much to the lyrics. Trigger warning on it though.
I mean, these lyrics, written by Eddie Vedder with music by Stone Gossard, are purportedly about Vedder's relationship with Beth Liebling, who Vedder dated in the 1980s and later married in 1994 (they've been divorced since 2000). From this song, it sounds like their relationship had many iterations.May 31, 2021
This is a great song but Eddie's pain is more palpable on the Unplughed version. It's like if he would've transported himself to the time he wrote the lyrics n was singing it to that person. It's def one of the best live performances you can watch, ever.
It’s about Eddies first love that he was with from the time he was a teenager and then growing up and apart then movin on, I really love and admire Eddie Vedder. Most of his songs that he writes have something to do with his real life. ❤
I really do love the studio version, its like a perfect experience. But if you want another level of emotion, then the Unplugged version is amazing. This song makes me cry, even after hundreds of listens. It hits hard!
Personally it was refreshing you doing the studio album version over the MTV version. It was the version most people heard first and is so powerful. Beware watching the mtv version you will fall in love with eddie and need to hug him and tell him things will be ok.
This was good but the MTV Unplugged version of it was wonderful! Even if you don’t put it on RUclips you owe it to yourself to listen to and watch it 🌹
Chris Cornell rip (soundgarden, audioslave) Chester Bennington rip (Hybrid theory/LinkinPark) have amazing grit like Cobain rip,(nirvana)but with those crazy lungs like maynard keenan (tool/ perfect circle/puscifer) Thanks for giving these perfect breakdowns in your reactions ❤
You should listen to Pearl Jam's song Jeremy. Watch the video. It is sad because it was a true story about a 15 year old male who commits suicide in front of his class because they ridicule him and he has no love from his parents.
Aside from the unplugged version: 1. Yellow Ledbetter - you're gonna need lyrics cause nobody understands this song 2. Jeremy - mental health 3. Last Kiss - least Pearl Jam Pearl Jam song of all time and yet one of the best imho
I was so excited to see that you reacted to this video, but it's the wrong one! The MTV Unplugged version of this is the ultimate Pearl Jam - Black. Just have some tissues ready!
Eddie has the tendency of limiting the open throat action just under the nasal passages, which gives him a unique sound. Meaning, no matter what you listen to, you know if it's Eddie !
The unplugged version of this is amazing
Absolutely. Watching\hearing Eddie live this song will break your heart. So powerful.
You should really do the unplugged version. :)
Yep, 1000% agree.
Yes! It makes me cry.. such an incredible passion-filled performance
Yes! The unplugged version shows how tormented the lyrics/story/song really are.
It's absolutely necessary!
With the thumbnail I thought it was. Yeah the MTV unplugged
Unplugged version is one of the most raw emotive experiences I’ve ever seen! Classic!
The live Prague version (2018) is waaaaay better
The unplugged version shows his emotion and also has a different ending that he add for the performance.
For real Rosalie,… the MTV unplugged will hit you hard! Please also do a reaction video for that one!
This is a great version but the unplugged will make it as powerful as the day he got hurt. Painful as well. Raw
I think you might enjoy their live unplugged version of this song they did on MTV. It's really something. Thanks for sharing this one!
You want to hear his grit? UNPLUGGED version!! Experience his emotion not just lyrics!
I heard the original first. I loved this album when it came out, but that Unplugged performance took this song to another level for me.
For me, this song was just an interesting toe tapper. But then I heard the unplugged version, and fell in love with it.
And that made me love the studio version finally.
Yes
4/6 of the first comments suggested the unplugged lol. Had a feeling that's what I'd see.
And they're 100% right
I know she reads these … can’t wait for the MTV unplugged
The thumbnail is the unplugged which is why i even clicked 🗿
It was refreshing hearing the studio version again. I LOVE that album. If I had only 4 for a deserted island, this would be one.
Anything of their 'Ten' album is pure gold and worth listening to. It's one of the few mythical perfect albums in rock history imo.
it's their best album
Everybody does the unplugged version. I’m glad she did the Album version.
Same. The unplugged version is overrated AF. And it doesn’t have the solo at the end.
Yep, like everyone has said. You really have to check out the MTV Unplugged version. It’s an amazing performance.
The Unplugged version is ICONIC frfr
You following me? Lol
Should’ve done the unplugged live version. It was outstanding.!!!
Talk about putting your soul into singing a song this was the one
Soon as I saw this wasn't the unplugged video I knew the comments were coming for her lol!
Great video. You would love the live unplugged version. His emotional state is more present and he preformed with the flu.
Can’t wait for more reactions
Listen and watch the acoustic version. Eddie Vedder's gestures and expressions are an important part of the performance.
Listen to "Release" by Pearl Jam for some real feels!!
The live in Holland version
Yep as most have said- Unplugged MTV version is the one. It is everything a vocal reactor looks for.
The entire unplugged album/performance is excellent. This band really excels live. Eddie is one of the most moving rock vocalists of all time
Good that you start with the studio version. I'll echo that the unplugged version is worthy of your time.
The below comments are not exaggerating the difference between the Studio Version and the UNPLUGGED. They are truly Chalk and Cheese in terms of emotion which is why it gets so many reaction videos done on it
So intensely emotional, truly melancholy.
You need to see the unplugged version.
The live MTV Unplugged version of this song is a must-watch.
It’s a beautiful song about love and loss. That’s it. No hidden meanings

Phenomenal song, one of my favorite bands ever. Garden is another gem.
Thanks,......Athough the Unplugged is good also,...this is how it's intended to be.
(and without lyrical screw ups)
Gotta watch the unplugged version... seeing him get lost in the song is incredible, and he sounds the exact same as the studio version... the 90s had SO much talent!
Got to watch the MTVs unplugged version. One of my favorite live performances of all time.

That is an album to own🤘❤️
U need to watch the unplugged live version. When u watch it you understand and will know why
Since the day Pearl Jam came out with their first album I've been a hardcore fan I listen to the song on The Daily and I never heard somebody put it into contacts like this Beautiful Soul I think she's got it on point
Do the unplugged version you'll love it
Pearl Jam were one of the many Grunge bands out of Seattle in the 90's. Unlike most of them, their singer is still alive. Very distinctive voice.
Indeed. Live Version Souls Shines.
Jeremy is definitely the next song i recommend checking out. The music video on it is best because it adds so much to the lyrics. Trigger warning on it though.

I believe the true essence of emotion of this song can only be experienced in the unplugged version.
This is a great song but Eddie's pain is more palpable on the Unplughed version. It's like if he would've transported himself to the time he wrote the lyrics n was singing it to that person. It's def one of the best live performances you can watch, ever.
I’ll be the thousandth person to say you should’ve done the unplugged version
It’s about Eddies first love that he was with from the time he was a teenager and then growing up and apart then movin on, I really love and admire Eddie Vedder. Most of his songs that he writes have something to do with his real life. ❤
MTV unplugged version of this blows this away.... One of the best raw performances of all time
I really do love the studio version, its like a perfect experience. But if you want another level of emotion, then the Unplugged version is amazing. This song makes me cry, even after hundreds of listens. It hits hard!
This song was about Eddies marriage coming to an end and letting go.
The unplugged is even more heartbreaking.
Having, at one point, my entire world collapse, this song digs deep.....
The unplugged version is even better, girl! 💖

Why does everyone assume it's about relationships between a man and woman. This could be the loss of a child to another or death.
How have you never heard this before? You've been missing out 😮
Natural Beauty.
Jeff Ament plays 8 and 12 string bass. A lot of harmonics you may think are guitar actually bass
I can't believe that you didn't react to the Mtv unplugged live version.
Until you see it, you won't understand.
MTV Unplugged version is mind-blowing:) as most others have already said.

You should listen to Pearl Jam's song Jeremy. Watch the video. It is sad because it was a true story about a 15 year old male who commits suicide in front of his class because they ridicule him and he has no love from his parents.
Aside from the unplugged version:
1. Yellow Ledbetter - you're gonna need lyrics cause nobody understands this song

Still baffles me that there are people that never heard of Pearl Jam.
