NEVER insert a bit into collet so that shaft is visible, like in the first part of video. Push it in fully, so that it is protruding from a collet just few milimeters... NEVER have your fingers near to router bit, and always treat it like it is switched on. NEVER route like on the video, from right to left, using left egde of the router. Always push router into material, so that bit is biting into it, as you push. Doing like in the video could get you hurt! Many things are done wrong in this video... Keep your fingers safe!
To add to your list: First, insert the bit and secure it in the collet. Next, make depth adjustments (and "width adjustments" if using a guide). Check to ensure that the machine is powered off, that the power switch is in the "Off" position. Adding the battery should be the last step.
With a router for 50$ you're asking too much... checked the video how it's built - with 12v (not brushless) motor connected directly to the spindle - I'm amazed that this tool even does anything...its like inserting 8mm bit into a dremel
Looking forward to getting one of these when next stocked by Lidl. Handy bit of kit for small jobs when I can't be bothered with getting to mid size plug in router setup or using the router table (which is very powerful & takes a lot more safety consideration). Watched about 10 videos & in all but one the people demonstrating it were routing backwards. This means you're effectively grinding with the back edge of the blades, not cutting with them, hence the vibration & struggle to cut cleanly! Most of them also lacked the common sense to remove the battery when changing the bits. That would take a second to do & could prevent mangled fingertips if you accidentally knocked the switch on.
Two years since my first comment & Lidl still haven't stocked this in the UK :( It would be really useful for quick roundovers, without having to plug in cables. Hope you still have most of your fingers Andy :)
I have one and its not the best. But for the price cant complain. I wonder if theres a way to fix the slop on the shaft.. the bit tends to wander a lot
Работаю фрезером 2 года. Для мягкого материала подходит. Слабый мотор, мало оборотов, большие сколы, неудобная настройка глубины, кнопка включения также неудобная. В общем всё соответствует цене.
All the other comments regarding how to set up. Best advice is remove battery before replacing/removing bit.Whu show a square marked whole and not use guides? Nice video but not technically presented with demo. Look at the finish of the edge moulding, plunging to start! Regarding Farter's comment-if it will do MDF it will do hardwood.
Not sure it's Junk, if your only doing a small project, why spend $300 on a Pro one, its $30, are the pro ones 10x better ?......... I've spoken to many trades guys they say, "parkside is not pro, however probably the best DIY kit around " and 3 years warranty !!.... must be worth $30, that only 2 pizza's :)

also never change a bit with the battery in

OMG! What a terrifying demo! Obviously, this dude has never used a router in his puff! Please be careful and look after yourself!
Nice review, when you routing a outer edge always go counter clockwise :)

Thanks for the video and this does help to understand the unit
Router is going one way…… not forward and backwards. Use it one way. Besides I’m surprised you still got all your fingers mate.
Perfect for MDF and soft wood but not for hard wood

Is this gen 3 or gen 3.5?

Where can i buy?
Sounds painful, think u might be going a bit deep on ur first cut
Call urself a guru and then u route in the wrong direction…. OMG
#BOSCH PWS 750
You moved it opposite way!!! When routing edge, always move against rotation, not with rotation. It tears wood and makes router jump and vibrate.
Sorry, I couldn't make it to the end, every five minutes I was expecting a finger flying and blood splashing...
Routing direction incorrect
total junk

You might have had better results using the fence.
Have you not realised how similar they are to the Bosch models..? Missing a trick I think !
