honestly, would have loved a full on boss-blitz type thing, where you fight all the bosses in order, start to finish, no breaks, no health regen. Would've made a heck of a challenge.

I wish that they made peach an unlockable character after you beat the normal game because that is what they do most of the time and it would have been so easy for them to do as peach essentially has her own Cappy and they could've even added tons more outfits for her and everything! It could have been great.

Just 100% finished Odyssey tonight. It took me 6 months and loved every minute. I've been a Mario 3D completionist since N64, which I still consider their best. Sunshine is 2nd but Odyssey is 3rd above Galaxy imo. Anyway bring on Odyssey 2! Thanks Nintendo. It was an honor to play your game.

I really wanted Luigi to be playable when beating it 100%, but when I saw that there’s a Luigi costume in the game I knew he wasn’t gonna be playable.

It unlocks an area in the darker side where you go through a painting and play through 5 different final bowser battles from different games to get a moon shard at the end of each and it gives u a spekl moon that makes ur moon count 1000 and let’s u play as bowser with his boxing cap

I like that the game does a great job spacing out rewards for how many moons you get. You get dark side for 250, darker side for 500, harder bowser fight+post card for all unique moons, top hat on castle for 999 moons, and star on save file for 100%ing the game. It confuses me when people criticize the game for the majority of moons being worthless because while yes, you only need a small amount to get through each kingdom, you are still very much rewarded for getting extra moons. In fact, I'd say Odyssey does better than any other 3d mario game in terms of rewarding the player for collecting the main collectible.
I agree with the pacing. After playing Galaxy 1 & 2 to completion, you can't help but feel upset that "New Game +" with Luigi isn't in the game.
I think it would be cool if you unlocked a special rainbow star mario costume and all of you ability’s where enhanced (for example, jump higher or move faster) also you could have the starman theme play when you wear it. Just a thought though!
Another thing that I didn’t mind but couldn’t help but notice is that there isn’t really any familiar mario characters, aside from Yoshi and the Toads. I think it would have been cool if some other characters showed up to the end of the game. Like Luigi, Wario and everybody’s favourite, Waluigi. I just think that would have been cool.

On one hand I'm glad you get anything at all for 100% completing the game. So many games give you nothing for that and it's nice to see an actual reward. However I wish there was more to go with it. Like maybe a 100% completion ending where Mario and peach finally get married. I also would have appreciated a really cool costume for 100% game completion. Like I said I'm just glad we got anything at all.

I was hoping that since peach seemed to be taking off on her own adventure at the end we'd be able to play as her after getting full completion.

I would've liked to see a bigger metro kingdom. At least to me it seemed like they hyped it up so much and it's one of the smallest areas. So I would've liked more.

It looks small at first but there are so many levels on the buildings, sub areas and other parts that make it lots bigger than it is
When I was like 6 or 7 I had a Nintendo Switch and I watched this guy play super mario bros 2 and for a long time I wasn’t a Nintendo fan, I recently got a switch and started to play Mario Odyssey. I looked up some guides and found his channel again, I play this game for about like 6 hours a day and without you, Mario would not have been fun at all to me. Thanks for being awesome

I wish when you get all of the moons the ending to the Bowser fight is that Peach and Mario kiss instead of Bowser interrupting. That would have made the game for me tbh.

Well, after all these years of mario saving peach, they still arent a couple. It is actually hinted at that Luigi will be the one with Peach(In the Galaxy games).

Xaust even a kiss on the nose would be satisfying and maybe even making some cake for Mario again.
Rosalina's stories. They are pretty cryptic, but the story is seemingly about peach being her mother and her dad at first being implied to be mario(as both mario and luigi are visually pretty similar, but mario is more popular), but a few details dont match out, like the old telescope of her father(luigi owns one, mario doesnt), or her green hatted brother in the story(which is a very odd detail to have).
Nintendo isnt keep of being too out in the open because more confirmed details means that you are limited to gaming executions and they dont want mario to end(which is understandable, as he is pretty much the face of nintendo). So leaving in hints instead implants ideas we spout out which is feedback on them. Not that entire games are created that way, but its good enough to find out what the audiance thinks about it without upsetting the audiance. Imagine they want Mario to get a new rideable partner instead of Yoshi, they can hint in an earlier game that Mario has ridden something else before. So that instead of getting sudden questions like "why didnt they pick yoshi instead, yoshi is able to do all these things and even more". Now they can implement a new merchandisable character and gamemechanics and actually get the audiance hyped about it.

Today was the first time I watched your videos. Great Video. I just got done 100% the game and couldn’t figure out what Cappy meant about the surprise at the Mushroom Kingdom. I didn’t notice the hat for some reason. Anyway, I would of like to see that EVERY costume available should of meant a moon with that costume. Even the Wario and WaLuigi would of been cool. Also, maybe a EASY level or Kingdom at the end that required 9999 coins to enter, but allowed you to get them all back. I also enjoyed the hidden art in the game too. I hated that 100 jump rope and that was the longest time spent on one moon for me (and my last and final moon). GREAT VIDEO!!

Your sail turns gold, you see some fireworks, and you get to fight a boss for the 3rd time with nothing different. Totally worth it!

I happen to know that if you buy too much of the 999 moons without getting the ones that you earn, you won't get the gold balloon for completion credit. However there are only 880 moons that you earn by completing missions and you have to buy 119 of them in order to get the full 999.

The fireworks is a throwback to the original Mario level complete, the stars and obvious 90% of the Mushroom Kingdom is a throwback to Super Mario 64.
I was actually hoping they're would of been a throwback to a 64 Bowser. Or a " remastered " version. At least to still grab him by the tail and toss him.

Okay so i love mario and i played almost every game (by almost i mean i didnt played the recent new mario games before odyssey but absolutely played the whole original golden series on old nintendo consoles) and i really love everything about odyssey but guys think about it, whats next? i mean they changed the whole story what will bowser do next time? Will he just kidnap her or force her to marry him again and what would happen to cappy and tiara in case you didnt understand the gesture of putting a bonneton hat above peach’s castle and the fact that they all became besties and saved eachothers’ lives which means they wont be vanished and only pop up in party games i dont think so, and what about all the power-ups that kept increasing over time then suddenly disappeared? from the classic red green mushrooms to tanooki feather and cat bell etc. its really amazing to play as the monsters weve been fighting our entire life and fight with them but that changes alot of things! all what im saying is i have no idea whats coming next and i really hope they make a game for wario and waluigi

Ryan Bass What? I just did volleyball and jump rope without any tips or 2 player mode exploits. Once you get to the top speed it is really easy to stay in the zone and even get to 200 or more. For volleyball, I stood in the middle and threw Cappy at the ball.
I know this is potentially catastrophic, but I would have liked it if you could capture the mushroom kingdom castle, and have a special level with it where the reward would be... whatever, I don't know, but it would have to be something special, maybe a special costume?

Idea #1:
Captured Menu:
Use *any* captured enemy *anywhere.* To make it work would be a bit like a memory system. So everything you captured before you completed the game is stored in the menu to use anywhere later. If there is an enemy you *never* captured before you have to find it to save it to your menu.
Idea #2:
Yoshi:
Just that little guy to ride on wherever. And if you feel like it, try to capture him! Maybe even become him *anywhere* using Idea #1!
Idea #3:
Successful Marriage:
Seriously. Mario did a lot to get rejected in such a way. Maybe even if it's Pauline instead. Just *someone* to help with his new-found depression. And maybe one extra person to capture! If you know what I mean... ;)
Idea #4:
100% Suit:
Just a regular suit that has "100%" on it! Including it's very own 100% hat.

She does actually make 2 cameo appearances. One is on the dark side. The other is on the darker side of the moon at the very end. If you go to the right of the replica of the New Donk City building, you can see an 8 bit version on the wall.
