I am not sure why they did not just make it a permanent feature of the interior, maybe it had too many polygons. It is not even just a normal piano, i am not really sure what it is.
I love that the camera angle changes and focuses on Link occasionally, as if he's standing there just wondering where to begin, and Tatl's reaction. XD

tbh I think it would have been hilarious for a scene kind of like this to play out in the full game where the Happy Mask Salesman just goes WILD on the Organ he summoned out of literally no where, looks to you and goes, "Hm, perhaps this may be easier to memorize-" And plays the three notes you need for Song of Healing
That's only if you fail the mega song when you get the prompt. If you do it right, you have to do that mega song every single time you want to do Song of Healing
