Gotta love watching a video and knowing that its the same boat launch I put out from (Feld) and same stretch of water I nail every season. Blew my mind when I realized that I was fishing the slot right above the true mouth of Eagle that day. I saw myself in the background of the video. Great limit day drifting beads and eggs. Gotta love the Pacific Northwest.
Love the rock outcrop right above where you said you launch, not gonna say the whole name cause not a lot of people know about it but I’ve got many steelhead right off the tail of that rock. Love the clackamas.
Gloves are worn for several reasons. Protect hands from salmon slime which over time can cause painful cracks in your skin. Protect hands from bait. The sulphites in roe especially will deteriorate skin. Some people are more sensitive than others. Gloves also keep your scent off bait and can help keep your hands warm.
You are so blessed to have such a great back yard!

Do you know if the spot where Nick Amato is bank fishing is accessible to the public? I found it on the map but not sure if anyone can get in there.
@@johnsalmon6377 You can but you will need to get to it by boat or walk in from Bonnie Lure State Recreation Area.

Clackamas is only open for hatchery salmon/steelhead

Keyword in your statement is “wild”
