    Reasons to watch Princess Craft RV:
    - I love princess craft she is lovely and calm.
    -She doesn’t yell or be too quiet when presenting an RV.
    -And she always starts the inside cause that’s what makes you want to watch the video and, I always have to skip to watch the inside of an RV, but I saw this channel and I loved it!

    I love Aliners. Hard walls vs tent makes this a great option for my family in cooler temp areas or areas with dangerous critters out at night. I like that level of protection for my 3 kids vs a tent camper.
    I'd like to see Tern Overland pop out dual pane windows at the dormers so we could ventilate even in a rain storm.
    I like off road tear drop trailers but my wife wants a toilet and those tiny trailer simply cant have one inside. This solves alot of my problems.
    I also like that they took a page from the Australian camping handbook with the pull out outdoor kitchen.
    I need to do an actual camping review video on this model.

      @@beverlybalius9303 Against bears, probably your only real option might be to have a van of some sort. As soon as those claws start ripping through the metal, leap into the driver's seat and floor it out of there.

    • @mixflip
      @mixflip 3 года назад

      @B Annoying I don't think it's about being eaten. It's more about being more protected than with soft nylon. A hard wall gives you "time" to react because nothing on earth just really just eats you without sniffing you out first. With a hard wall you have more time to grab bear spray or a pistol. Works well with 2 legged pests as well.

    • @mixflip
      @mixflip 3 года назад

      @B Annoying it has nothing to do with being scared to sleep in the woods. Its about being prepared especially if you have little ones (maybe your grandkids) I'm assuming you don't have alligators or crocodiles in your state?

    Compromises have to be made for an A Frame camper to sleep 4 adults. I think this is well executed. Bring a shelter along if you are worried about the outdoor kitchen. I'm also sure you could figure out some kind of privacy curtain for the toilet. At least you don't have to venture into the dark for that midnight bathroom run. Especially for small children.
    One question though....can you open the bottom half of the door when the camper is folded down?

    So, let me get this straight. It's honking it down with rain, you're starving but you have to cook outside. However should you need a dump, it's ok you can do that indoors while everyone else goes outside to get away from you. Still LMFAO at that one. Why not provide a toilet tent & put the cooker indoors!

    • @devsoftech

      @Illinois Gun Pros: Agreed. First reno I would do would be to change that bunk over the outdoor kitchen to a) have an access door to the fridge and b) use as a desk and more prep area for that teeny tiny 'vanity sink'/kitchen for rainy/freezing temp days. The next would be transforming that toilet into a foldable bathroom with shower - my two major beefs with this design. Otherwise I do like it!

    I like the goal that Aliner had with this new model, but this is a poorly designed layout compared to the closest competitor, the Chalet XL 1920 A-frame that has been around forever.
    The Chalet XL 1920 family model also sleeps 4 (or even 6 with the extra wide bunk beds) but unlike the Aliner it has an indoor pop-up wet bath so you get a bathroom with a shower and some degree of privacy, and has a proper kitchen with more counter space, a two basin sink, and a large actual refrigerator with freezer. So you can actually camp in the Chalet in inclement weather. If you want to cook outside with the Chalet there is a propane connection on the side that you simply jack your propane stove into.

    I'm disappointed with the interior, and the cushion foam seems to be light and cheap. The switch panel is problematic in our Classic as it is easy to hit when crawling into the sleeping area. I can't imagine that putting it, and it's bright red light right into the sleeping space would be an improvement. The slide out kitchen uses up much of the available front storage, looks heavy, and is only the equivalent of a Coleman stove and a cooler. The fan is up so high, that a step stool will be required to operate it. It should have a control switch mounted lower. The KoolCat also uses up much of the rear storage and is unsuitable for more extreme climates like Minnesota where we camp in our Classic. Much better to have a furnace and a side mounted AC unit. They don't stick out much farther than the TV side mirror. Happy to see that they have finally included a hand grip by the door.

    I just want to know how tall PJ is so I can scale these RVs. She's got to be tiny. I'll try another dealer.

      I’m 5’ tall. Not tiny, but shorter than most! The peak on the expedition is 8’ tall, so there is plenty of headroom in the center of this trailer!

    I wanted an Aliner for a long time and finally purchased one a year or so ago. Two big issues. Inside under seat air conditioners units are nearly useless. Don’t know if it’s design error or just to small(BTU’s) but in temps above 85 it’s unbearable. For such a small space this is unacceptable. One would have thought this would have been a basic thing they would check pre production! I’m not sure if it’s the same for the units with a/c mounted on outside. And this is a problem even in the shade. Number two. Don’t drive in the rain!! It’s leaks. No problem when set up but will get wet inside if you travel in rain. No maybe about it: it will leak. I have owned numerous campers in my life and although I love the space and design I would never purchase another.)

      Where is the rain coming in when traveling? A simple fix would be a tarp and a few bungee's.

      My never leaks. I drive in the rain all the time. Maybe it’s just yours.

      I agree in heavy rain but nothing a few towels won’t suck up. And why I prefer my side air conditioner

      @@lhgross48 very true. It did take a while for cushions to dry though. It was usually during hard rain.

      My guess (and it's strictly a guess) is that the most common places where this trailer will be used are campgrounds with restroom facilities. And, I also guess that there are seating spaces for guests.

    • @PrincessCraft

      If the seals aren't properly maintained, leaks may develop. Seals are pretty easy to inspect, maintain, or replace.

      PJ is 5’ tall. She is easily the most comfortable in front of the camera among the staff here at the dealership, so she presents in our videos by default. We’re a relatively small staff, so we lean on each other’s strengths. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!
