Just sat down after letting my chickens out with my coffee and some banana bread and opened RUclips. Perfect timing to watch one of my favorite farming shows
It was a pleasure meeting you at the Ithaca Farmers Market yesterday. Also, thank you for being so generous in signing your book. I will enjoy the eggs and pork chops!
Good Morning Pete, it was great meeting with you yesterday morning at the Farmer's Market! Thanks for taking the time to talk with my wife and me.. I have already started reading your book and the eggs were a hit with our family and friends in CT.. Best Regards, Joe & Cheryl from Florida
I always enjoy your hay cutting videos. BTW, I'm impressed with your ability to pull a spring into position despite having your hands covered in grease. That's impressive hand strength!
Im watching at the 4 hour mark after release and YT says 32K views. Still humming at 8k and hour. Thanks Pete for the many hours of fun watching you work your farm!
Hey Pete, how does a farmer find new cows to buy for his farm? He looks in the "Cattlelog" of course. I know Hilarie will enjoy that one. Great to have you back on the farm again. I always say, it's great to take a break and travel, but then it's always great to be back home again.
Your channel is important. It shows the audience that their food does not just magically appear at the grocery store every day. Hard-working, conscientious people like you are the ones making it happen. Thank you.
Awesome video as always...I have the exact haybine myself and love it. I'm running a 1750 Oliver tractor. Watching you cut makes me want to jump on mine and do some cutting but already did my 3rd cut. 😊
Nothings better than the smell of fresh cut grass in the morning. The Hawk having a field day hunting for mice or any other creatures running for cover under the grass. It's a peaceful life style among cows, chickens, turkeys and pigs as the seasons change. Nice video
The plant you referred to as African ground orchid, we refer to as Queen Anne's Lace around here. It's kind of a pain, as the seeds stick to your clothing like burrs. About the only good thing I can say about it is, if you pick the flowers before they're fully open and place the stems in water with food coloring in it, you can get pastel hues to the flower. Always enjoy your content. God Bless and stay safe.
hey James & Andrew...haven't you noticed Pete likes to come up with his own exotic names for plants? I can't remember what he was calling his lilacs back in an earlier video, but he is pulling your leg :)
Good Sunday Pete. Ah just made my day by having yall into my home on Sundays. Hot coffee and fresh made date nut loaf. They were popular when I was a child, for some reason it just disappeared. Glad I inherited my Mom & Dad's love of cooking. Never a dull day or stale loaf of breads around the house.
Love watching your videos!! Great way to relax and brings back memories of my childhood. More people need to watch how a good farmer takes care of not only his livestock but also his equipment. Thanks for making these vidoes and keep 'em coming!!!
Hi pete enjoyed your vlog the drone shots and other shots were great always great to see farming at its grass roots level hope you hilary and the family all the best from near sydney australia ❤❤😂😂🇦🇺
Great job as usual Pete!! Hay sure was thick! Drone impressed me staying stable in the steady breeze. I love to leave a kind word each time although I'm not quite sure you read all of these (too many trolls and experts can bring you down). Know that there is a silent majority of us who enjoy and appreciate your efforts! Murfreesboro TN
Good morning Pete. Hay looks good... and you're right she sure does sound good. Back in my younger days I used to cut with a sickle-bar mower. Had no conditioner. That was the fifties and sixties. Sure brings back memories watching you lay it down. Hope you and your family have a great day❤
Good morning Pete. Wish I could have met you in Rantoul, Illinois. I live close but had to work. Keep up the channel. Hi Hillary. Don't want to forget you.
Great video Pete! What really amazes me is how sophisticated these inexpensive drones are. How it circles a moving object while keeping the target centered.
I sure remember those early fall days, last cutting of hay, school back in session, getting ready to chop corn...shorter days, cooler mornings, colors starting and grouse season just around the corner,,,my favorite time of year in USNY. Great looking last cut.
When helping the neighbor farming back in the 70's, we always carried tools in the step toolbox on the tractor. Pipe wrench, hammer, adjustable wrench, screwdrivers, maybe a punch, pliers and assorted bolts & nuts. Never knew what we might run into.
Hi Pete, another great video. From the hundreds of your videos I've watched, I'm convinced you are a master mechanic, master farmer and a great guy who manages life perfectly. Have a great holiday. See you next time!
That is the slowest I've seen the chickens come out. I love watching them all in a hurry to get to the great outdoors. I remember when those 2 pigs wouldn't come up to you and now they hurry you along to feed them. LOL I love Orton's sound He reminds me of Eeyore in Winnie the Pooh.
You look so relaxed after exhibition and seeing so many subscribers. I was happy to your kids joined you as well, they had to be Impressed . Thank you for Sharing Pete as I enjoyed your walk through of the tractor history!
Hi Pete, I love your videos. I have a few older tractors myself that I maintain myself and I make a couple of hundred bales of hay every year. I do it all myself so I can relate well to what you do. Keep up the good work and God bless.
Lovely! Thank-you. I seem to recall that Autumn grass here was called 'All wind and piss'. Not much feed quality perhaps? My Somerset, Maternal Grandfather said, however, that, 'What doesn't fatten will fill'. Welcome back!
Pete & Hilarie your content is always a delight to watch here in the UK not least because of the hard work and principled ethics you both have, but also for the inspiration and ingenuity you constantly show in bringing us clips of your working life, with your rare moments of relaxation, that might at times otherwise seem very seasonally repetitive for you. I often wonder whether Ezra the stray cat still visits you. His inquisitive antics have always for me added to the wonderfully entertaining content of your videos. Your more recent slow drone footage expertly following closely while you work with your fleet of tractors is a splendid addition in allowing the viewer to feel even more involved with you in your work.
Welcome home Pete ,thank you for the videos from your trip . Great seeing the livestock again . I know it’s work for you but for everyone else it’s a needful thing to have your farm in our lives . Thanks to you and your family .
Always so neat to watch you interact with your animals! They always seem to know what you are saying. Like to watch the hay cutting at ground level and the drone level. It's like a work of art! Glad you are back on the farm. All the different tractors were neat but the farm and the work that you and Hilarie do is what's most interesting to us. Really like the drone view of the entire farm. It makes it easy to understand how the farm is laid out!
Oh, yikes! Billy's first offspring! Of course, Brownie will have a good bunch. Now that brought back memories of haying. Thanks for sharing, Pete. (Even the jokes (?) are good here.)
glad your bak safe with your family pete. thank you for everything you do. really enjoyed the tractor show. but was looking forward to seeing you back the farm
Missed you both on the farm. Happy your family is back to normal? Lol can't wait to see those baby pigs t o ,it is exciting. I look forward cto every video you post. Blessings 🙌 to all!! ❤🎉😊
Hey Pete, I remember the silage chopper that we had when I was a teenager. It had a tensioner that had a lock nut on it. After the second time that the lock nut was replaced because it would start backing off, I decided to try 2 regular nuts and tightened them together. That worked until the chopper was retired. Apparently, vibration was loosening the nylon insert in the lock nut.
Just sat down after letting my chickens out with my coffee and some banana bread and opened RUclips. Perfect timing to watch one of my favorite farming shows
Holy crap lemme join! Lol
I've never tried giving my chickens coffee and cake, do they like it?
Ditto! ❤️
Nice job.God bless.

Happy Sunday morning Pete and Hillary, it's great to watch new updates on the chickens, cattles and the piggies 🎉🙏🥂
I love watching you make hay…it’s so cool how your rows are perfect!
Your conversations with the cows never gets old!😅 and that joke was awesome!
Highlight of my day when you upload Pete. Love your videos and can't wait to watch this one:)
Definition of a farmer..a man outstanding in his field 😬
Well said 😂❤️
An oldie but still a goodie.
I always enjoy your hay cutting videos.
BTW, I'm impressed with your ability to pull a spring into position despite having your hands covered in grease. That's impressive hand strength!
Good to see you back on the farm again. Hope you enjoyed your trip with the kids. I'll bet the critters were all glad to see you back home too.
I think it's crazy that this video has only been out for around an hour and already has 8k views. Great job Pete
@@joeyhunter842 Not sure if you're referring to me, but I'm definitely a farmer first.
Im watching at the 4 hour mark after release and YT says 32K views. Still humming at 8k and hour. Thanks Pete for the many hours of fun watching you work your farm!
@@danstuartwalker .
Your videos in the morning are such a great way to start my day! Thanks Pete and Hillary!!!
Thanks Pete! I sure miss mowing & making hay!
Great to see a small farm that is working well
Good evening Pete and Hilarie from Australia. Just about to go to bed till I saw this. Will stay up just a little longer.
Glad to see you back on the farm again.
Having multiplied old tractors sure is a good thing. Will be interesting to see the new piglets when they come.
Making Hay is the one thing I miss about farming. Love watching you make it. Richard Hutchings.
Thanks Pete. Was waiting for it. Cheers ❤👊🙏

Always enjoyable, Pete! I especially appreciated the camera work.

Pete Hope you have any kind of day you want...Good Sunday Morn!!!
Your cinematography keeps getting even better. Great job.
I love the balance of this channel between machinery & live stock.
I know I’m not alone looking at your subscriber success
Keep it up Pete & team 💪

I was going to say the same thing. The second plant is a variety of a white aster.

I love the sound of that tractor and cutting grass, it has a “thrumming “ sound that I could take a nap to. Lucious looking cuttings.

Hello from Ireland Pete. Your 756 is a belter. Sounds awesome!
I sure appreciated this video. Sometimes I just need to watch you bail and all settles down nicely for me. Thank you
Love the way the tractor and the hay bind look/work from the aerial video.
Still my favourite channel; find it relaxing & educational! 😊
Good to see you arrived back home safely. Thanks for the videos of the show. back to the daily grind
Great video as always Pete enjoyed watching you cut hay. We are so dry in Texas that the ranchers are probably buying hay out of state

What a sensation, “756 Overture” overtaking your senses…
Another great relaxing video! Thank you!

Those drone shots are awesome. They put the beauty of the land in full display!
The praying mantis was your copilot!
My favorite farming show. Traveling and enjoying this farming experience. Love to see this tractor preparing the food for our beautiful cows👍
