Normal reaction exerted by the man on the surface of the lift = N = (g/3)*(2*70-50) Newton = 300 N & Pulling force exerted by the man on the mass less rope = T= F = (g/3)*(70+50) Newton = 400 N

Sir in the second problem I just visualised that if the two strings might be in the exact opposite positions ie. At 60 degrees each the value will be minimum for tension I tested it and it was true . I didn't know the method so learning that was pretty helpful .
