I love Howard’s story, I’ve been listening to him retell it many times over the years. It never changes, it’s very hard to keep a lie straight since 1985. The only thing that has slightly changed is that in recent years he’s told a little bit more of the horrific details of what occurred in Hell. I thank the Lord for allowing Howard to remember this incredible story and share it with us. What really makes me believe is Howard’s unbelievable change from atheist liberal college professor to God fearing pastor. People don’t have complete changes of their beliefs and lifestyle over a lie.
I agree. When I get down or a little depressed, or a little confused about what life is like after we die. There are so many so many so many different theories. But I always turn to Howard story. Jesus Christ is everything to me. The only thing I truly fear is Jesus telling me to depart from him or that it doesn’t exist and it’s not true. That would completely crushed me. Notice he was told "love the person you're with, that's all you have to do." and the message he got was "it's all love." He saw Jesus because that form or identity was most familiar in his psyche (people of different cultures see different beings that take on a familiar identity). Notice that the spiritual entity didn't tell him "go and convert people to Christ or Christianity". Seems like a lot of the commenters missed that part and missed the part about love.

If I made a video saying that Jesus told me this video is false, how would one prove either of us correct? Why do we need miracles? Why is the Word of God (which is Jesus Christ) enough? God tells us, in His Word, that faith comes by hearing and hearing of what? The scriptures! God, through Paul, was very clear in Romans 10:17. Read your bible. Compare what people say and do to it. To believe these claims, like in this video, you have to share your faith in Jesus with these people. I'm not going to do that.
I grew up around Howard. I know his character and trust his word. I know that he had this near death experience. I know how profoundly his experience affected him and fundamentally changed him within. I know that he has been consistent and adamant about the details of his experience over the last 40 years. The only reason why those in the Word of God did was for that purpose alone. For the scriptures to be written. The scriptures are completed. Logically, if the scriptures are completed, then videos like this, are adding to the Word of God. Which is forbidden. There is no more new revelation outside of what God gave us. That information is adding, as it was never explicitly described in the Word of God. Example: If I told you I died and Jesus showed me heaven and I gave a very detailed description of my mansion, would you just believe me? You'd just take what I say with being a "good" person all the time you've known me. That would be the basis of whether you'd believe me or not, as you said with "growing up around Howard". You would have to use some sort of gauge to evaluate what I'm saying, not just blind faith. I'm not denying God works miracles, on a much smaller and intimate scale, today, but, as shared by what God says in Romans 10:17, faith comes by hearing and hearing the scriptures. Not testimonies. Not supposed eye witness accounts of heaven or hell. Scriptures alone. God is very clear with what He means. Romans 1:20 even tells us that those that never read or hear the scriptures have nature to show God's handy work and are without excuse. That's just coming to a knowledge of Him, but to grow their faith, they need scriptures as God tells us in His Word.
@@dyerseve07 Sharing his experience is also not adding to scripture. And no, I wouldn't simply believe you for that. I have no idea who you are, so I would have no idea what your motivations are. I know that Howard was a staunchly self absorbed atheist who lived entirely for the world, and what he experienced changed his entire being fundamentally and still has to this day. His experiences align with what we know from scripture, and also aligns with a great many more NDEs. This is a subject I have done quite a fair amount of research on, and I have also read his book on the matter as well.

He might have asked residents of heaven or hell for information. Perhaps the location of a missing person. Or where something of value was buried. Or maybe what happened to a suppressed invention that's beneficial to mankind. Or when he gets back to earth, have him write down all the small, salient details of hell and compare them to others who do the same. I have done that on earth - it's not hard. It is suspicious that of all the folks who have visited heaven or hell over hundreds of years NONE have ever brought back ANY evidence.

For a long time I had convinced myself these were all tests of my will. I believed in that sentiment whole-heartedly. Nowadays, “God” plays cruel jokes on me, with no rhyme or reason. God mocks me, in ways that I can’t possibly grow from. He’s literally jabbed at my own own self-esteem that was already dangerously low. As I am a sufferer of anxiety/panic disorder (Not the “OMG i’m like feeling so much anxiety right now…” assholes,) that believe it to be a minor disability that it’s cool to play pretend. Nay, the I’m having a panic attack and if I don’t call the ambulance on myself I will in fact “DIE” here and now. Ironically nowadays I pray(tongue in cheek) for death. I am not saying there is no God, I am simply stating God is cruel without any of this “so called” mercy we hear so much about in church, as well as in the Bible. God is merciless. God takes pleasure in seeing me suffer. Tell yourself “It’s a test” all you like. When you give someone a mental disorder then humiliate said person over and over and over again ad-nauseum, to a “creation” that he knew he’d created with a mental disorder as their “major obstacle” only to mock and humiliate that person with an empty tank of self-esteem.. well tell me.. what do you think that person should think? What really makes me believe is Howard’s unbelievable change from atheist liberal college professor to God fearing pastor. People don’t have complete changes of their beliefs and lifestyle over a lie.
I agree. When I get down or a little depressed, or a little confused about what life is like after we die. There are so many so many so many different theories. But I always turn to Howard story. Jesus Christ is everything to me. The only thing I truly fear is Jesus telling me to depart from him or that it doesn’t exist and it’s not true. That would completely crushed me. He saw Jesus because that form or identity was most familiar in his psyche (people of different cultures see different beings that take on a familiar identity). God tells us, in His Word, that faith comes by hearing and hearing of what? The scriptures! God, through Paul, was very clear in Romans 10:17.
Read your bible. Compare what people say and do to it.
To believe these claims, like in this video, you have to share your faith in Jesus with these people. I'm not going to do that.
I grew up around Howard. I know his character and trust his word. I know that he had this near death experience. I know how profoundly his experience affected him and fundamentally changed him within. I know that he has been consistent and adamant about the details of his experience over the last 40 years.

Logically, if the scriptures are completed, then videos like this, are adding to the Word of God. Which is forbidden. There is no more new revelation outside of what God gave us.
I'm honestly and genuinely not trying to be rude, but if we consider ourselves true believers of God and His Word we *must* compare what people say and do to the Word of God.
God, through Paul, shows us this in Acts 17:11 with the Berean's. They did not take what Paul said as truth, they compared it with scriptures, even then.
Someone could be very adamant about their "visions", but if it is not able to be proven and compared with the Word of God, we must deem it as false.
Also, with your reasoning for knowing Howard, there were people that thought the same for Joseph Smith and mormonism. Do you just take Smith at his word? No. We compare it with the scriptures as well.

People do clinically die and come back to life. This is not adding to the word of God. It is not being canonized in the Bible as scripture. Miracles still occur. Encounters with the Divine still occur. And nothing Howard stated is unbiblical. God works in many ways to bring His lost sheep to Him. In fact I would wager most people do not initially come to Christ through the word.
@@TheBookOfBryan I never said that them dying and coming back is adding, it is the sharing of new information of what they saw when they died, be it in heaven or hell, supposedly. That information is adding, as it was never explicitly described in the Word of God.
Example: If I told you I died and Jesus showed me heaven and I gave a very detailed description of my mansion, would you just believe me? You'd just take what I say with being a "good" person all the time you've known me. That would be the basis of whether you'd believe me or not, as you said with "growing up around Howard". You would have to use some sort of gauge to evaluate what I'm saying, not just blind faith.
I'm not denying God works miracles, on a much smaller and intimate scale, today, but, as shared by what God says in Romans 10:17, faith comes by hearing and hearing the scriptures. Not testimonies. Not supposed eye witness accounts of heaven or hell. Scriptures alone. God is very clear with what He means. Romans 1:20 even tells us that those that never read or hear the scriptures have nature to show God's handy work and are without excuse. That's just coming to a knowledge of Him, but to grow their faith, they need scriptures as God tells us in His Word.
@@dyerseve07 Sharing his experience is also not adding to scripture. And no, I wouldn't simply believe you for that. I have no idea who you are, so I would have no idea what your motivations are. I know that Howard was a staunchly self absorbed atheist who lived entirely for the world, and what he experienced changed his entire being fundamentally and still has to this day.
His experiences align with what we know from scripture, and also aligns with a great many more NDEs. This is a subject I have done quite a fair amount of research on, and I have also read his book on the matter as well.

Also, I think that him and his father had a similar relationship to Adolf Hitler and his. He was so proud of the fact that he stopped crying during his beatings. He might have asked residents of heaven or hell for information. Perhaps the location of a missing person. Or where something of value was buried. Or maybe what happened to a suppressed invention that's beneficial to mankind. Or when he gets back to earth, have him write down all the small, salient details of hell and compare them to others who do the same. I have done that on earth - it's not hard.
It is suspicious that of all the folks who have visited heaven or hell over hundreds of years NONE have ever brought back ANY evidence.

For a long time I had convinced myself these were all tests of my will. I believed in that sentiment whole-heartedly. Nowadays, “God” plays cruel jokes on me, with no rhyme or reason. God mocks me, in ways that I can’t possibly grow from. He’s literally jabbed at my own own self-esteem that was already dangerously low. As I am a sufferer of anxiety/panic disorder (Not the “OMG i’m like feeling so much anxiety right now…” assholes,) that believe it to be a minor disability that it’s cool to play pretend. Nay, the I’m having a panic attack and if I don’t call the ambulance on myself I will in fact “DIE” here and now.

I think if God ‘in all his infinite wisdom’ he should be good to us, at least occasionally. I’m living a hell that has no end in sight. To the point where I cannot even forsee an “eternal hell” that is worse. I won’t go into too much detail of my personal life, what’s left of it. But I’ve come to the conclusion that there can be no faith, without hope. And there can be no hope, without light at the end of the tunnel. If God is supposed to be that light, I choose to stay in the dark which at least brings me comfort. God will not give me the happiness in this lifetime that I seek. A malevolent God? Who wants to have faith in such a being? Or rather why?
God reminds me of the kid in Toy Story, the neighbor kid who blows up his sister’s barbie dolls for the sh*ts and giggles. Only difference is he is doing that to me, whilst I sung his praises regularly and defended his “righteousness” at every turn.

God is the pure evil. The God of ignorance and heartbreaks, I know what i experienced, how i told him everything for so long, how i gave everything up for him, believing i will receive better (Mark 11:24). Christians don’t wanna hear this, but it is true as all the positive testimonies are true. I have been a faithful servant for years, my prayers have always been honest and righteous (James 5:16) - but he prefers the good hearts of this world even more kicked and suici*al. Whenever he smells the possibility of joy and blessing, he immediately acts to destroy it. All honest hearts that really really want to belive in the kingdom of God deserve an answer, a soft and calm heart, the best physical love with a perfect person and the opportunity to make this word a better place individually.
First God had every right to form my sinful character, but he never stopped torturing and delaying me. There is no perfect plan or right timing- people pray for healing and there is no, absolutely no reason a loving god would forsake them till they probably end their lif*s there one, and delay there healing. I know what my and everyone else’s heart is worth. People suffering for decades. That’s why no one trusts God anymore. We deserve better. A God that doesn’t even answer your question what your purpose is, Jesus who never comes if you surrender or cry out to him- seek me with all your heart- i did until i was insane, with 0 effect. I was in tears so often and he never came. He doesn’t want a relationship with you. I know how i gave him everything, because scripture says he will give you what you need- „pray and it shall be given“ - and he left me in the rain, i was happy and young when i came, sui*idal and homeless, poor and without my dreams when i left. He always chose the best ways to deliver me his torture. I wanted to carry my part of the cross, but not in that love and darkness. You deserve a miracle for your heart! God forces you to live, lies through his word (yes, i read it and trusted it, and dont need bible verses as answer here)- Thats the „love of God“. Always saying no. Never yes. Lying and claiming that he knows better. He, who has so much blood on his hands as we know from scripture. Thats why people turn away from him. Because he doesn’t understand anything and is just torturing. With no reason. The „enemy“ is not in charge for God rejecting and lying, but he is stronger than God. Jesus cannot control his own creation. Free will ? Only if i sin, but anything else he decides? Thats not the God that is worth my heart. A good God would help his people, heal and comfort them. And making a step towards us if we „seek with all purpose hearts“. What would a person with a answered prayer do ? Right, celebrating God and praise him, study scripture with joy and tell people- And what is God doing ? Right, makes them turn away again!

Well, instead of removing your hurting feelings (love is powerful), i watch you go down. I don’t want you to have your peace and love. And i am not able to show you that i am with you. And well, i am God, because of my Ego i will not give you anything else. No, i give you nothing to comfort you. But i am God, give me your life and dont sin or end in hell.

I prayed to Satan. I wanted the light, but Gods true self brought me to the darkness. My plan was to do so much good in Gods name. Their fate is that of the people of Pharaoh and those before them-they all disbelieved in Allah’s signs, so Allah seized them for their sins. Indeed, Allah is All-Powerful, severe in punishment.
This is because Allah would never discontinue His favour to a people until they discontinue their faith. Surely Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.
