Maybe in the future they can invent some way to lift it up higher like add 25 stories underneath it so it’s crown can be visible again. That could be a trend, lift all the old buildings up and build new ones underneath them.
And what way to do it than to rebuilt the WTC towers making the north tower 2,700 ft in roof height and make a 300 ft spire serving as a middle finger to the middle easterners that would be cool

That said, as a young child I literally watched the Twin Towers being built, from my home in, Woodside, Queens and recall it vividly. In fact, from the 7 line train station by my house, there was a direct view of the Towers. This is where the majority of my memories come from. They hold a special place in my heart, and are the very reason why I love architecture, skyscrapers in particular. When they tragically collapsed on 9/11, it broke my heart. What made it more horrific had to do with the fact I used to work 2 blocks from the Towers and knew them well. Imagining the underground part really spooked me. It was a sad day when they dropped, the world has never been the same since.
I can’t wait to see what Raleigh looks like in 2030. There’s been proposals for 20+ skyscrapers taller than 430 feet. About 13 of those have been approved. 2 of them are expected to hit around 630 feet and 1 of them is expected to hit 800 feet. A 650ft and 800ft are currently in design stages and are expected to complete construction by 2028. The project could be completed as early as 2026.

We were expected to get a two-tower 550-foot project right after PNC Plaza opened but then came recession and they had not gotten approval by that time. But now, considering the growth and attractiveness from developers, it’s very likely. For example, the 435-foot RUSBUS tower 1 started construction in April. The Creamery tower 1 will hit 432-feet and is expected to start construction this fall. Smoky Hollow Phase 3 is also rumored to be releasing the ASR for their project, which will start construction next year, is expected to tower to roughly 500 feet tall.

Yes, the one with all the eagles on it has been canceled for a while now and I imagine with the way the economy is going now the same will happen with most of these, especially the ones in the latter half of this video. It's a shame cause I think the one with all the eagles and ornaments looked unique and a nice change from all the boring glass clad towers.

Nah, this recession is completely different from the 2008 recession which was a housing crisis, that’s why so many projects for infrastructure was canceled at the time. This recession is caused by the Russian/Ukraine war and the aftermath of Covid, it has pretty much nothing to do with housing.
I don’t think there’s going to be a recession. After today’s jobs report and the inflation bill about to be passed. We could be on track to avoid one. We’ll probably know by the beginning of 2023.
