    Let me say this as an American.
    Japan has literally lived up to everything they've agreed to, Japan deserves to have their military back. They fought hard in WWII, they lost, then honorably abided by the deals they made, rebuilt their society & economy. They deserve their military back!

      Japan is unfortunately a very weak vassal state. If they want their military back, they need to eject the US. If they want nuclear weapons, they can make them but the American imposed constitution ties their hands. They have to rediscover their independence.

    The same people working out their scenarios of the outcomes in Afghanistan, Iraq, Vietnam, Korea,. I have absolute faith that they are getting the outcomes repeatedly right as before, except that this will be the Last War, between two proud nations with everything at stake. For the US it will be our #1 position in the world. If we lost, then our allies will no longer be with US. Even Japan, EU, India, Australia will make peace with their neighbors. And that would mean that we will lose our leadership and control of the finance of the world, no more petro-dollar, no more ability to print money for whatever we need to import for our people at home. Our so-called erstwhile allies will no longer listen to our demands and follow us. Likewise, If China loses, then she will be practically speaking wiped out from being a competitor and major power. She will be like China in the last century. In essence, they will be humiliated beyond repair for centuries to come. But before the think-tank that worked on such scenarios celebrate, don't overlook the possibility that WMDs might be used in desperation by either party, for whatever ill reasons.
    Remember, men schemes, God laughs. Perhaps, Armageddon as foretold, is in God's plan perfect plan to happen in this century where AI will enable men to be god of himself.

      @Coxman Год назад

      Isn't that why it's called a simulation? It's patently obvious.
      Still doesn't change the fact that China needs to be taught a lesson. So what's wrong if America and her allies like Japan, Australia, UK, India, Vietnam and Philippines help Taiwan defend themselves against China?
      But what you can't simulate however, is war experience at sea and China has NONE.
      If "Little Britain" can send a task force to defend an island thousands of miles away and take on a larger naval force and win, what chance does China have against 3 world class navies with proven war experience at sea?
      It would appear that the simulations are sound in their results. Don't you agree?

    I'm not surprised that the same thinktanks before the war possibly could had said Ukraine will fall to Russia in less than a year because it is small and has weak military. The problem with this simulations is they only consider the quantity of each side rather than the quality and capabilities that each side possess. Other than number, strategic intelligence, which country has the real most advance armaments, and actual battle experience are the important things to consider in a war not just how many weapons they have. Media is always giving importance to aircraft carriers, but they never thought that allied countries like the US and Japan have been continuously building lightning carriers which can help increase air craft carrier capabilites even if they were loss at sea.

  • @Xecela

    With every nation on par with technology nowadays, only thing that can stop a war is by having more destructive powers then everyone else. But it all depends on tactics and strategy, one misstep or failure in planning a proper invasion can be extremely vital to losing heavy losses or the battle entirely. If one-side is losing, there should be no forgiveness. In war, everything is fair game.
    1. Infiltrating a country by starting off with napalm will most likely won't end well. Would be a waste of ammunition. If this was all theory, you have to change and adapt to our current knowledge and capacity with how humans can think currently. I would maybe recommend gathering information consistently of the enemy layout, weak spots, air defense, sea defense, espionage, tactical warfare, openings, tricks, UAV or maybe a use of a EMP nuclear bomb. And plan ahead creating plans A, B, and C encase certain situations arise where battle tactics have to be changed accordingly. Human lives don't grow very fast and training them can take an unprecedented amount of time unless your creating soldiers to be fodders. Summary: Battles are very limited and will vary.
    2. I forgot..
    3. Our president of the United States.. No, comment. But... I heard that Taiwan has a very good military defense system. Overall, it all depends on how everyone plays their part. It's most likely going to be suicidal to gain results unless people think outside the box..

    The US military remains the preeminent force in the world, not just because of hardware and funding, but because of logistics, tech, and an experienced and extremely well-trained officer corps, with officers who are empowered to make decisions without going to the top. Anyone who thinks any differently doesn't understand that we have never seen the US military actually use its entire combat capability, as it has always pulled punches to limit collateral damage. People also tend to hugely underrate logistics, and Russia has just demonstrated what happens when you have a military with lots of expensive toys but questionable logistics capability.
    Neither China nor Russia have ever proven the ability to seriously project power, but in the event of a Chinese invasion of Taiwan, the US would launch air assets from its bases in Japan, aircraft carrier groups and other bases throughout Asia, demonstrating the value of force projection, logistics, comms, tech and battlefield awareness.
