OnePlus 5 Teardown Repair Guide Steps:
    Step 1
    • Power down your OnePlus 5 phone.
Step 2 (OnePlus 5 Dual Nano-SIM Card Tray)
    • Eject the dual Nano SIM card tray.
Step 3 (OnePlus 5 Rear Case)
    • Remove the following 2 T2 Torx screws from the bottom of the OnePlus 5.
    • Use the plastic triangle opening tool to release the clips and then pop the OnePlus 5 out of its space-grade aluminum rear enclosure. There is no pesky adhesive, making this procedure a snap.
    • Before you can separate the rear case, you will need to disconnect the USB-C port and headphone jack cable to free it from the phone.
Step 4 (OnePlus 5 USB-C Port and Headphone Jack Assembly)
    • Remove the following 4 Phillips screws.
    • Easily pry the OnePlus 5 USB-C port and headphone jack assembly up from the rear case.
    Step 5 (OnePlus 5 Motherboard)
    • Detach the battery connector.
    • Remove the following 7 Phillips screws.
    • Disconnect the bevy of cables, including the one on the other side of the motherboard.
    • With the cables and screws out of the way, free the OnePlus 5 motherboard from the phone.
    Step 6 (OnePlus 5 Front-Facing Camera)
    • Separate the 16-megapixel OnePlus 5 front-facing camera from the motherboard.
Step 7 (OnePlus 5 Dual Rear-Facing Cameras, Earpiece Speaker, and Vibrator)
    • Easily remove the 16-megapixel dual OnePlus 5 rear-facing cameras from the motherboard.
    • Pluck out the spring-contact-connected OnePlus 5 earpiece speaker.
    • Pry the vibrator up from the chassis.
    Step 8 (OnePlus 5 Loudspeaker)
    • Remove the following 6 Phillips screws.
    • Extract the OnePlus 5 bottom loudspeaker assembly.
    Step 9 (OnePlus 5 Battery)
    • Remove the interconnect cable.
    • Use the exposed clear plastic pull tab to peel the 3300 milliampere-hour (mAh) battery off the adhesive securing it to the OnePlus 5.
Step 10 (OnePlus 5 Earpiece Speaker, Power and Volume Buttons Cable, and Signal Cable)
    • Use the spudger to pry up the small daughterboard.
    • Disconnect the display cable.
    • Remove the clear tape and then peel the interconnect cable off the adhesive securing to the phone.
    • Remove the signal cable from the side of the midframe.
    • With the tweezers in hand, carefully extricate the OnePlus 5 power button cable, volume buttons cable and NFC Antenna.
Step 11 (OnePlus 5 Display Assembly)
    • Use the heat gun to warm up the adhesive securing the 5.5” OnePlus 5 display assembly to the frame.
    • Use a triangle opening tool to start slicing through the adhesive.
    • Take your time and apply additional heat as needed. Patiently work around the OnePlus 5 AMOLED display with triangle opening tools.
    • Once you have sliced through the adhesive, be mindful of the display’s cable and the cables for the bottom buttons when decoupling the screen assembly from the frame.
    * To reassemble your device, follow the steps in reverse order.
