- In part two of their ongoing debate over the number three pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, brothers Rafael and James Barlowe break down Ace Bailey’s 24-point, 11-rebound, 4-assist, and 4-stock performance against Nebraska on Thursday night. Rafael remains firm in his stance that Bailey is a lock for the third pick, citing his combination of size, athleticism, shooting and defensive versatility.
James, however, continues to push back, advocating for a broader conversation about other prospects with the potential to leapfrog Bailey. While he mentioned Texas freshman Tre Johnson and Oklahoma’s Jeremiah Fears in the first episode, James expands his list in this episode to include Illinois forward Kasparas Jakucionis, Duke freshman Khaman Maluach, and Baylor’s VJ Edgecombe as legitimate candidates for the third spot. The debate heats up as Rafael stays resolute in his belief that Bailey’s talent makes him the clear choice, while James argues for a more open-minded approach.

Finally someone mentions Khaman’s ability to create. He has way more in his game than most ppl know. Easily the #3 guy for me. Raptors NEED him.
Ace doesn’t get credit for being one of the best defensive talents in the class. 11 RPG and 2 BPG in Big 10 Conference play, with 1 out of every 3 teams being nationally ranked. Can truly defend 1-5
Ace is number 3. I love the improvements he is making in his game.
I definitely like kasparas but my main issue with him other than athleticism is he seems to always need a screen
Ties into the point about athleticism. He will not be able to get by guys in the NBA, imo
@@MorseCodeMC Nah. They said the same thing about Curry, Harden and Luka. Some guys can just ball.
He’s dominating on step back 3’s, impossible to stop unless you double him
@mikejones9906 that itself isn't gonna him at the next level, he's not curry lol
Exactly why Ace is my 2 because of the high upside especially being as tho he’s 18 6’10 can shoot , rebound & solid defender . You just have to take that risk all day every day
@@ChrisHuncho-x2r number one
@mikejones9906 he should but ofc they not letting that dude in duke not be #1 lol
@@ChrisHuncho-x2r Everything is perfectly set up for Cooper to succeed, he’s on the most talented team in the country and he’s playing in the weakest conference in the country but will that jumper be consistent is the question
@ facts bro lol I been said this.. facts, Let’s see how this plays out
I’m rolling out the red carpet for Khaman
Can Vj be on the level of Avery Bradley. If his game improve. If he turn out to be 6'3
Ace is starting to remind me of Kobe, he can shoot from anywhere on the court.
I'm bringing in Ace and Jak. If I really need a big I'll bring in Maluach and Queen too and calculate the trade down spot.
Tell James to stay on that side fam😂
Depends on the team fits and what a team is looking for. Ace has a lot of upside. Jakucionis looks like the real deal too. So much talent in this draft
@@JacobKraemer414 There is no scenario where you take Kaspras over Ace
@ I tend to agree with you unless a team doesn’t believe in his upside and they are playing it safe. I personally have ace at 3 right now .
And when you watch Kas he isn’t a true pg, he’s like a combo guard
I want ace to go to the pistons or hornets
And then Kasparas goes for 3 points against Michigan State. Every player game to game is up and down it seems.
Wouldn't workout flagg with the 3rd pick because he will be gone, so Harper, Ace and Kasparas will be the ones to workout
I like Kas but I think he’s overrated man & again no way im taking these guys over a 6’10 wing who can shoot & rebound
Ian Jackson has entered the chat
Nope lol.. I like him but nah
@@ChrisHuncho-x2r He cant be that far off Tre Johnson. Im a big Tre Johnson fan btw.
James Barlowe ducking smoke in the comments.
😂 what smoke
@jamesbarlowe759 You know😂
No one is passing up Ace for KJ
Idk, I think Ace is 3rd... but then again if you are sold on Jakucionis being the next Steve Nash and Ace the next Carmelo or something - it becomes a tough call. Then there's the chance someone else just blows up. I get the upside of Ace, but he's not the only guy with upside figuring things out.
@@norrinradd542queen has way more Melo to his game, ace is way more mpj/b miller
@@d.jarbouin2478 nah, Queen is a smaller Boogie Cousins type. Melo pulled up jumpers just like Ace does and makes all those jab step moves the same way. Also, they both make contested shots like crazy. Queen is more of a mobile big. If he gets a jumper, he could be Sengun. If not, he still has value he is. He's just a good player and prospect.
Ace Bailey is number Two ok .
Goofy
Ace Bailey is the number one pick.
James Barlowe stay off the weeeeed-duh.
Ace B is #2 right now
Let’s be honest, VJ Edgecombe is being Gate kept right now.
I do not think that term means what you think it means.
@ What does it mean, Scott the genius?
