Hi, I'm going to apply in APU for the spring enrollment 2024. Would you recommend the new AP house 5 or AP house 1&2 ? 🥺

aaa i’ve never lived in aph 5 so i’m probably not the best person to come to for this but:
aph1&2: these dorms have existed for a long time so you will definitely feel certain liveliness and “history” through pictures of residents, event posters, and decorations; some of which have been there for years already. i feel like this would be fun to experience! also, the single rooms here have a sink and a toilet, which i think are important.
aph5: it’s only been there for less than a year so there’s not much to say? this dorm has this fancy sports club vibe for some reason… maybe because the look of it is more modern and minimalistic? it also has movie and prayer rooms which is nice! but because it’s new i couldn’t really feel the warmth and liveliness i felt in aph1&2 (again, i’ve never actually lived in it). the rooms here don’t have a sink and a toilet, and i’ve also heard that the rooms are smaller!
distance wise to campus, aph5 is closer but aph1&2 is still not far. probably 3-5 minute difference? because if you go from aph1&2 you need to walk to the elevator, go up to the bridge, cross the bridge, and then walk to campus, but from aph2 you basically skip all that.
that’s all i can say i think 😭 i genuinely don’t have a recommendation as to which dorm to choose because the decision should depend on the dorm life you’d like to find yourself in. good luck! 🍀
