A heads up about zip ties. The sun oxidizes the plastic over time (3+ years) which causes them to eventually snap off.

definately cut in half bamboo for lightweight facade applications onto existing fencing. This is obvious from the quick hole drilling and screwing.

All good if you have a wooden fence like that but if you have what we have, its impossible without building another fence because this cant be screwed onto corrugated hardie fence made of concrete sheeting

G'day, If you have a corrugated fence you can install horizontal timber rails on the top and bottom and then install the bamboo panels to the rails, screw the rails into the upright posts of your corrugated fence, match the horizontal rails to the same heights as the backing rails of the panels, then screw through the backing rails of the panels into your newly installed horizontal rails.

Real bamboo is lovely. I'm just thinking, they paid a small fortune for real bamboo panels when they could have just painted thier existing fence a darker color or paid an artist to paint bamboo on

palmplacenursery, thanks for the quick reply. Damm I bought 50mm. Instead off drilling the holes can you out the screw in between the bamboo where the panels have the support beams?

Thats should be fine the panels are 5cm thick, so if you screw in between each culm directly into the backing rail it should work.
