I loved annotations! Anytime I forgot to add something to a video or if there was a point in a video that seemed to draw the same questions...i could easily go in and add some context without re-uploading an entire video.
I kind of miss them, because they were convenient for fixing oversights. But a lot of creators abused them, doing things like a full-screen transparent annotation that goes to another website. So I'm kind of happy that I don't need to deal with that any more.

I often get a much lower CTR on the subs feed than the home page because I didn’t really have a niche when I started out. I’ve been using that setting lately to try and trust RUclips to find the audience who actually wants to watch my newer videos and disabling it for shorts has helped recently too because I feel like they don’t belong on the sub feed. One reason to disable personalised ads might be from a data privacy point of view. You might not want your viewers to be targeted by ads based on tracking. If you’ve got a data protection channel or something similar, this could be used as evidence of your authenticity.

Hm, I don't see that Clips toggle option in my Settings 🤔I usually click off the Shorts sampling for individual videos when I upload but I that's different.
Good vid. Question. Why does RUclips recommend my reselling videos when viewers watch videos that are completely unrelated? For example I discovered today, that a funeral video was recommending my ebay reselling pack & ship video. How? Why? I can’t imagine any connection between my tags and that video. And you said tags don’t matter anyway. LOL.
