Im hoping to get a photo album page built so everyone can njoy and c what they might b after for thier workbench or collection. As a builder then a collector I know it looks like I'm backwards, lol. Glad u njoyed the video and my collection.

Wow! Great update. 👍. I didn’t know there was a model of the Maverick. As a wedding present in 1971 my parents bought us a car. We selected a Maverick. Had it for 4 years before expanding family dictated a station wagon 😁
Thanks. Happy to share my collection with Shawn and the model community. Love the story of ur Maverick.i have had several johan Maverick Promos though this was the 1st and only kit I have seen since starting n 68. Ive never run across another and to me the 6 banger was simply icing on the cake. I do know the reissue of the multi maverick drag kit originally MPC kitteissued by Dave Burkett @model king, parts will interchange with the johan tooling as far as glass,bumpers grille etc.) Shawn's Grabber n his younger days(sorry buddy,lol),was all I needed to give them a new home with him.

You're killin' me with the Jo Hans!!!!!!!!!! The Rebel machine is my absolute favorite Jo Han kit mainly because no other companies produce them......... I wish decals & dash gauges could be produced in the aftermarket so I could get a Jo-Han kit & have the aftermarket products so I can make it look proper........Another great stash add Shawn!!!!!!!

I like the old Johan kits too just never run across anything like he does, that’s why I told him he’s got to be one of the luckiest birds alive or Squatcher alive! Haha! Usually if I ever run across any deals it’s when I’m broke, I only get one check a month and usually broke the same day. Oh I’ve ordered a few Johan kits online, from AK Collectibles or Spotlight Hobbies, their generally the cheapest, Model Roundup has some Johan but their very proud of them, know what I mean? I can’t afford no 2, 3, 400 bucks a kit, I like them, Johan but I don’t like them that much! Sheez, I’m a poor man, I’ve paid 60 and 70 bucks a kit and I thought that was high, for me anyways. Anyhow, thanks Doug, I appreciate it buddy!

Great haul Shawn. I love JoHans myself. I'm really into the stock versions of the maverick and comet. Johan is the only manufacturer that I know of that created many versions of the Ramblers. Like Doug I need to start thinking out my collection and I don't have nearly the amount of kits that Doug has. I'm going to pass his email along to my builder friends. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, I will take that as a compliment,lol. Ive tried 4 53 yrs to build as much as I could and yet the kits kept hibernating while reproducing and certainly outnumbered the builds. Watch for pics of the built up collection soon along with more of the unbuilt/unopened kits as I continue to sort em all out. Thanks to Shawn for his help and inspiration,looking forward to building again now with my grandsons and getting my channel started once a build bench is clear.

Thanks Kenny, I built a few as a kid too,though interests change sometime mine has always been street rods and customs of the 40's-60's as thats what I grew up building n the shops,only a few yrs later,lol. Thanks for sharing and making me whine over those kits...:) I'd love to find an affordable Charlie Allen Saddleback Dodge Dart funny car By MPC, I can't afford the price's they are going for and hope they repop it. :)

Always amuses me when someone says they’re out of space then they have a vast building twice the size of my entire house with huge areas of empty shelving, he’s not out of space he’s just disorganised 😉 I have virtually every inch of my room covered in kits, you can’t see the walls. He just needs to tidy up 😂

Good eye, each ti.e i watch 1 of Shawn's videos of course im trying to scan the room as well,its why we build that stash right?,lol. And u couldn't b more right about timing up madness. B4 the shop was built i had a 2 ft path n a square pattern around the building bench and wall to floor every inch was kits. Then I expanded and after retiring from restoring cars and doing custom paint,airbrush and painted pinstriping the models multiplied n the shop. Thanks to Shawn I am sorting and downsizing at the same time to make room for a building bench for myself and grandsons along with bring my 71 suburban 3 Dr n for a build(yes the real one,lol,just sold the other one yestetday). Along with that I've got a 59 t bird and 2 57 ford 2dr ranch wgns,projects that im going to sell also. So if ur ever around Sac Ca, feel free to look me up. Thanks,lol. Yes my wife has not only kicked my butt for my 53 yr collection but also kicked it out of the house the day they installed the doors on my shop,lol. I believe I have the kit ur looking for along with 2 of the amt kits of the 250.(1 of which I started prepping the body. Prices r all reasonable not collector as I would like them to go to good people that love the hobby as I do.
The big thing is I prefer to part it out if need b,thru sales of multiple kits rather than 1 or 2 at a time. Of course the more kits,better prices will b too. Hope this helps. Thanks again,Doug

As a kid my Parents had one and I always love the look of them cars. I often thought if I could? I would own one some day. Thats pretty much how it was for me too,so I built a shop out back thinking it was plenty big enuf and now with nearly 10k models im out of room and want to build 1 last full size,lol 71 suburban for my grandsons,along with building models with them,so yes im truly downsizing with Shawns help,which is much appreciated. I wonder if it's possible for a company like AMT or Revell to 3-D scan a complete Johan kit and make dies for that and reproduce the kits all over again ? With the technology we have today, I can't see why not ? I would think it would be cheaper for a model company to do this then start from scratch. I get sooooo frustrated with car model companies who seem to just want to keep reissueing kits with different box art and maybe a few extra doo dads .
If they are gonna keep doing this,how about reissueing the Revell Pro-Street Beretta and Rick Dobbertons Radical Pontiac J2000 ? Just these 2 cars would sell like hot cakes,especially for kit bashers.
I bet they can, but they would have to buy the johan company and then buy the right from the car manufacturers to make the models again, so it's probably about the money as far as johan, but the old revell stuff was sold to Atlantis model company and they probably will release them again, at least I hope so! Lol

Very nice adds schaun u know i got a nice rereleased 1975 f1 car martini kit its newer rereleased version it was released again 2010 then 2nd rereleased 2021 its awsome 112scale PE parts from Tamiya when i show it you might know it ill show it in next video but 2nd 112scale and in martini again ha ha like porsche 112 I got of newest of wit newer parts added too it u know but with 124 112 in martini youd think i was a sponsor of their brand martini ha ha 👍 nice find as always bro love popo one and built javelin nice vans Dodge vans mustangs Datsun trucks f1 car silva he had too alot of kits id love to be able to walk or drive to him and have a look around buy alot but doing it online kill us both shipping fees and stuff taxs on customs such great hold and i bet ones i loved are nothing to stacks ge had it plastic up over door going rows back very nice
