No horns allows Garth to stretch out a bit, and that's always a good thing!

I named my dog Ophelia in tribute to this song. The dog in my profile (RIP) was Hazel for a 60's TV show. She was a great dog. Ophelia is a great dog also. This may be my favorite Band song; and I have them all. Big Pink, Basement Tapes, Eponymous album, etc. RIP Robbie. Hopefully your estate will pay the dead cohorts estates what you stole from them. Levon had to Ramble to survive at the end. LOVE this song however...................Murph in Denver

Though I don't make habit of naming inanimate objects, I named my amplifier "Fatty Ophelia" because those were the names of the last 2 songs on the setlist that survived the bullshit tape I used to secure it to her.

Not cool to bash on Robbie when he just passed away. Besides he didn't steal anything, he wrote the songs, and they all made a lot of money. Drugs and bad money management part of the problem. Levon had plenty of money, he spend lavishly on hotels other stuff, build an elaborate house in Woodstock and then when he ran out of money he wrote a book blaming Robbie. Read Barney Hoskyns biography of The Band, and Joe Forno Jr's book "Levon's man" and you will get a different story.

nice to compare robbie's solos here to those on the last waltz - besides the difference in tone coming from the music man amp here, you can see he's working the melodic moves he would perfect by the time this tour reached winterland.

I have a question I was wondering if maybe Steve Winwood ever played with these guys I was listening to the greatest hits cd and thought I had heard him doing background vocals and keyboard

Check out Robbie Robertson's "How do you get to be Clairvoyent". It has Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood as his backup band.
