This mall is very big, very elegant, very everything including very inconvenient - like who wants to walk 1/2 mile to get a pair of shoes, then walk another 1/2 mile to get a shirt, then walk another 1/2 mile to get a jacket and the walk another 1/2 mile to get to the parking lot! whew - that's a lot of walking to get a few things - maybe good or maybe bad but its something to think about!

The caption in the beginning of the video actually answered your question. He chose the time before closing to avoid the crowd. You're too much into your wishful thinking.
