    If you laid down Saran Wrap in the compartment then sprayed the area with expanding foam and then put the bottom board down for tray and put a couple of cinder blocks on top till it set, it would have perfectly conformed to the bottom of boat and would not have moved and also helped with vibration. Saran Wrap will peel off and keep it from sticking to boat. None on the board it will permanently adhere to that. If you had turned it 90 degrees you probably could have gotten 2 in that space also and doubled over all capacity.

    Any picture or videos of the framing process of your boat? You are super informative. And detailed in your videos! Keep them coming!

    • @AnthonyJonesBrigadeBoats
      @AnthonyJonesBrigadeBoats  6 лет назад

      bart Tyrrell Unfortunately I started youtube after all framing was complete. I do plan on doing a walk through video which will show in detail all my framing and I will explain how I did it and what I used. It will not be a step by step though. I do plan on another build in the future, that build I will step by step everything if all goes well. There are some pics of framing setup on my Instagram account but not sure how much that could help you.

    Great content , I like the way you build . have you put out any videos on how to paint a aluminum
    boat , mine needs a makeover , not sure what type of paint to use , I like the green on yours but don't know how to paint aluminum or what paint to use. If you get a chance write me back, thanks for your time

      No video as I had done boat exterior paint before I started my channel. Perhaps one day I can do a step by step on a future build. I used ALUMAHAWK Aluminum Boat paint. You can google it. It is a bit pricey and you need to properly prep the boat, but I have gotten a lot of compliments on how it came out as a factory finish. I went with grey but they make a few colors. You will need a paint gun (I used a 50$ Husky one from Home Depot) and an air compressor. The paint is super nasty and sticky, you do not want to brush or roll it. You will also need to cut it w MEK to thin it, I went a bit heavier on the MEK versus the paint manufacturer's specs to further thin it. Hope this helps.

    I feel that metal tie down is dangerously close to the battery terminals!

    • @Conradlovesjoy
      @Conradlovesjoy 5 лет назад +1

      All it takes is something falling on the battery to short both sides. You could put the tie down on the other side of the battery handle and still have a tight hold, with a much safer distance.

    It looks nice, nice clean work.. but are you not concerned about the accidental acid leak? Being at the front of the boat, the battery is gonna take a beating.. are you using marine plywood? nice fab ideas..

    • @AnthonyJonesBrigadeBoats
      @AnthonyJonesBrigadeBoats  4 года назад

      No,not at all. Everything is mounted incredibly securely into framing and hull ribs. Box does not move and neither does battery inside with a top mount battery tie down. Never had an acid issue and the boat has been beat pretty good.

    Great content, excellent videos. I don't watch everyone's new vids the same day they publish, but I'm always happy to watch your new one as soon as I see it. About your front battery box, looks great, very solid... I have an idea you might try out, apply some Plasti Dip to the tiedown to prevent arcing across the battery poles when working with, it's gonna happen sooner or later... that stuff is available at harbor freight, and just about everywhere else I believe. Very nice build! Keep up the great work and thank you for sharing your process.

    Sick build buddy! Have you thought of using any diamond platting anywhere for looks, maybe inside certain compartments and such? Love the attention to details, keep it up!

    • @AnthonyJonesBrigadeBoats
      @AnthonyJonesBrigadeBoats  6 лет назад

      Dan Smith Thanks! Man, I have thought of using carbon fiber. I used to work with it back in the day when I was into tuning cars. Diamond plate could work, it would probably get hot though. It's all preference. On the next build I may try some different products and techniques.

    How do you keep the battery charged ??

    • @AnthonyJonesBrigadeBoats
      @AnthonyJonesBrigadeBoats  6 лет назад +1

      Rear battery is for trolling motor, front is for accessories. No.on board charging system, battery is charged when home on drip charger, rear battery gets 6 hrs or full throttle run time on rear mount electric motor.

  • @prestonfrady9259
    @prestonfrady9259 5 лет назад

    You could have put a piece of foam on the top of the battery shelf and notched it out for the battery to sit in and then the strap. it would keep it from making noise due to rattling.

    • @AnthonyJonesBrigadeBoats
      @AnthonyJonesBrigadeBoats  5 лет назад +2

      Good input although it doesn't rattle or make noise how its is. Super tight strapped in. I'll keep that in mind though, appreciate it!

    This i cant understand is where the rain water goes with this boats!! this boxes are not waterproof as i can see

    • @AnthonyJonesBrigadeBoats
      @AnthonyJonesBrigadeBoats  5 лет назад

      The boat has been flooded with rain, it goes to the bottom of the boat and out the back. All hatches are actually very tight and I have yet to get water in them. There are drain holes in them just in case water gets in but the locking latch creates a seal pulling the hatch down tight enough to where water does not get in. Also, the boat is garage kept so the only time it's been wet was bringing it back from the lake it got rained on heavily for an hour and all was fine, i was very impressed. Hope this helps, thanks for watching!
