You guys are definitely nailing it with this video. I can readily translate that to what I have to do on a RUclips channel. Thanks for the encouragement that says I need to participate in conversation. For some reason, that is always been my weakness.
Hey Guys smaller church here - is there a benefit to boosting a post? Does that seem tacky like too commercial? I would like to do it regularly to increase our reach but there is some resistance.
I seem to remember awhile back that comment-baiting posts like questions, or posts that say "thumbs up for answer A" or "Smiley for answer B" type posts get buried by the view algorithm. Is that still true? Old?
@@prochurchtools It is "asking for comments" which I think would apply. Here's one of the articles: "Facebook says it will start punishing pages and individual users that ask for likes, shares, comments, votes, and tags-which the company calls “engagement bait.” ... posts will be downgraded in Facebook’s algorithm, and over time ... demoting entire pages." qz.com/1159467/facebook-will-now-penalize-posts-that-ask-for-likes-shares-and-comments/
@@prochurchtools any post using "who, what, where, when, why, or how" is asking for engagement, can be flagged by the algorithm, and over time and repeated use may limit your views and exposure. I think the key take away is varying types of posts so you don't get flagged for too many engagement baits.
mittewi You’re misunderstanding. I can promise you that asking questions on social is exactly what platforms like FB want. And there’s a big difference between sparking dialogue with a great question versus baiting and explicitly asking for likes.
@@alexandermills2230 I might be cheating a bit, because I am a happy customer of Pro Church Tools monthly social program. It takes our staff 5 minutes to set up buffer for a month's worth of posts!
I love this strategy. We rely on volunteers, so creating fewer posts and higher engagement allows us to focus on excellence each time.
Love this!
You can continue talking about this topic. I can’t get enough. Unfortunately I don’t Pastor, but as a minister, I want to try to apply the principles.
Love that you're using these principles in your own context!

Thanks for watching, Barry! You're so right - this strategy isn't unique to any one platform. Excited to hear how it goes for you on RUclips!
Thanks guys!
You bet, Jody!
Good stuff! Thanks!
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for watching!
Hmm. 39 questions - like the 39 lashes by which the Apostle Paul was punished? ;-)

It has its place for sure. Generally, we use it when we want our existing followers to see a post.

I’m not certain, but these types of posts don’t make those declarations anyway - they simply ask questions - which is what FB wants.

mittewi Right. But what am I missing here? None of these posts are asking people to post comments.

I love you guys but the pickle is a necessary burger topping
😬
It took 5 minutes. :O
About the same amount of time it takes to execute the strategy 😉
@@alexandermills2230 I was just making fun of it a bit, but the execution of it is less than 5 mins.
@@Rock_Bill_Kaa Glad you're finding it as easy as we are! Hopefully it saves you time in the long run.

4:38 and you haven’t don’t nothing but tout it. I’m gone. Get quicker guys or just stop doing these videos.
Why did it take 5 minutes though?
I think the real question is "why not?"
