I find it very interesting that the themes most closely related to Ralsei's Dark World have that leitmotif, considering it's probably the secret boss leitmotif.

More accurately, you're hearing the last bit of Don't Forget ("I'm with you in the dark") in the ending segment of TWR. Don't Forget is a tune heard in several songs of Deltarune's OST.
Well, bonus bosses' themes have a lot of motifs. The Circus (which I think is more of a motif than THE WORLD REVOLVING) can be heard in some Jevil and Spamton tracks - Dialtone is the best example, but it's also the main motif of THE WORLD REVOLVING. BIG SHOT has so many motifs - Spamton, THE WORLD REVOLVING, Power Of NEO, Ghost Fight and Dummy!. You can also hear The Legend motif in Jevil battle theme, just like in The Chase.
I'd argue that leitmotif B is just going to be a recurring theme in ALL of the secret bosses, and we only associate it with Jevil because we heard his theme first. but that's just speculation for future events.
I'm gonna bet that Toby might use the leitmotif of TWR in Big Shot to every secret bosses too (if it's still about "Freedom"). Like the leitmotif that shows their connection to each other.
Nightmare Knight sounds much more like an early version of The Legend to me (and some other bits sound more like Amalgam). Cool to see how Toby reuses the same similar sorts of things throughout his work!
I think you should tackle Final Fantasy tracks too. There's so many connected songs in Nobuo Uematsu's works, and it's always good to pay homage to the classics.
I think every Chapter has a similarity in the Bonus Boss, being at the basement of the last area(Card Kingdom and Queen's Mansion), is hard, has that one part in The World Revolving and plays their prelude themes.
If you're going to include Nightmare Knight, I think it's important to mention that 0:38 in The World Revolving sounds similar to both a part in Nightmare Knight, and the end of Attack of the Killer Queen! Specifically TWR motif 5. 4:00 Knew it continued there, though wondered for a bit why I could only pick it up clearly on working headphones. Love how it uses the CORE synth too, another connection to Mettaton! 6:35 Oh never realized the pan flue plays that motif again, good ear.
Those bonus ones could possibly be a leitmotif of something we have yet to get to, possibly in reference to the knight that we have yet to see at all since two of them have to do with the introduction to the dark world and the final one having the word "knight" in it. As a far more out there theory, considering this is also in a strong part of the world revolving it could possibly tie the secret bosses together with the knight. Even MORE out there though is slapping on all the stuff pointing to gaster in some way being a strong role in the story that may only be revealed should the player hunt down all the secret bosses
It's curious that Toby Fox has already reused a melody from another Cucumber Quest song for Death By Glamour, a name so crazy to think that he used this melody too, especially with that name
What if this is actually the knight theme and after jevil and Spamton meet them and start going crazy is when the leitmotif appears in their respective theme and that's why we also hear it in Spamton theme?
We need a full version of The Chase with the motif. It harmonizes just enough to tickle my OCD, and doesn't just enough to sound twisted af. Feels like the plan is going off the rails and you're having to improvise.
1:44 For reasons having to do with obtuse Spotify settings, my brain expected this to be immediately followed by "CLOTHES!" The air crackles with freedom
1:44 The 4/4 version sounds a lot like the "up and down" background in The World Revolving as well, so I feel like the whole thing could be considered to have a TWR motif. 3:03 I think the yellow part ended too early here.
This is sort of unrelated, but after listening to “The Door” I thought I heard the opening to “Your Best Nightmare”. I know it’s used in “Digital Roots” and “Vs Susie”, and I wonder if it’s anywhere else. It is interesting that the theme is used, granted it could just be Toby being Toby and reusing a spooky sounding track and it probably is, but I do have to wonder if there are any actual implications for using this leitmotif?
Just as Toby reused some old tracks like Megalovania, I think (at least partially) Toby will reused parts of Nightmare Knight for the Knight's battle theme. Mayhaps he could rename it "Knightmare."
People thinking the motif is exclusively in reference to Jevil. Here I am just on lookout for it sneaking it’s way into the rest of these special encounters as a commonality tethering them all together. Or Fox simply had a jingle so versatile he’s gonna milk that cow as much as he can 👌
Ok so I've had this theory that all the secret bosses will use this melody in some way, which is why I call it the freedom motif. The only thing that goes against this theory is that big shot doesn't use the same melody from the world revolving as the other songs do. (BTW the chase and the door can be explained by toby just sometimes doing that. Like, it's the same as how dog bass and spider dance both use a leitmotifs usually reserved for ghosts)
Dialtone is actually a huge leitmotif for "the circus" play them side by side in the right way and the rhythym will sound nearly exactly the same. And even though I didn't think it was at all I now definitely realize that The Chase is a The world revolving leitmotif
You should do a video on the leitmotiv found in The Circus (the rhythm one, instead of the melody), also found in Dialtone, Lantern and possibly others but I haven't paid attention. I thought I heard it in Giga Size but when I listened to it I coudn't, so either it was my imagination, or it was in another song
I like The World Revolving because it's catchy and gives the vibes of "good vs evil" My favorite type of villain is the fancy one that has a good charisma kinda like Queen, Lancer, Flowey Papyrus (he's not a villain but kind of our rival) Doofenshmirtz or Joker, They aren't entirely dumb, they are just crazy and clever. They are a high threat but you just can't dislike them. And that's exactly how Jevil is (and most of the antagonists in DR so far and UT).
Theorist will point to this as proof that everything involves gaster in some way Of course it fuckn would, he’s a nonexistent existent entity stuck in the void
Missed opportunity to change the heart to jevil's face, and make Jevil look like he's smiling (when he like throws the mini Spades at you) when the leitmotif plays
6 songs huh? The fact that the world revolving is in spamtons theme (another secret boss) makes me believe that secret bosses in later chapters will use it as well.
probably late but my theory is all the Shadow Crystal unlocks and fights will have the world revolving part in it so its not really the world revolving just the Shadow Crystal theme or whatever.

We need a full version of The Chase with the motif. It harmonizes just enough to tickle my OCD, and doesn't just enough to sound twisted af. Feels like the plan is going off the rails and you're having to improvise.
1:44 For reasons having to do with obtuse Spotify settings, my brain expected this to be immediately followed by "CLOTHES!"
The air crackles with freedom
You make me want to play Deltarune again
If someone asks me how many times I can re-listen BIG SHOT I will answer - YES!
I think Nightmare Knight is using the King leitmotif, which is basically the Chase leitmotif but with more steps. :)
Just as Toby reused some old tracks like Megalovania, I think (at least partially) Toby will reused parts of Nightmare Knight for the Knight's battle theme. Mayhaps he could rename it "Knightmare."
I feel like the secret cheracters will be more and more explained with each chapter, slowly groing our knowledge of the stranger along the way
People thinking the motif is exclusively in reference to Jevil.
Here I am just on lookout for it sneaking it’s way into the rest of these special encounters as a commonality tethering them all together.
Or Fox simply had a jingle so versatile he’s gonna milk that cow as much as he can 👌
I consider the melody from The Chase to be its own thing - the Knight theme.
6:31 that part had no business being as good as it was
that Nightmare Knight soundfont, Jesus so many Kirby vibes
Songs with Empty Castle? I love that melody
Jevil: I HAVE NO CHOOSING! :D
Spamton: I have no choosing... :(
Ok so I've had this theory that all the secret bosses will use this melody in some way, which is why I call it the freedom motif.
The freedom leitmotif as I've heard people calling them
I've wondered for such a long time why people tend to call jevil the sans of deltarune
theres one in feild of hopes and dreams. it refrences the last part of world revolving
The song when toriel is driving to school sounds a little like world revolving
You should do a video on the leitmotiv found in The Circus (the rhythm one, instead of the melody), also found in Dialtone, Lantern and possibly others but I haven't paid attention. I thought I heard it in Giga Size but when I listened to it I coudn't, so either it was my imagination, or it was in another song
I like The World Revolving because it's catchy and gives the vibes of "good vs evil"
My favorite type of villain is the fancy one that has a good charisma kinda like Queen, Lancer, Flowey Papyrus (he's not a villain but kind of our rival)
Doofenshmirtz or Joker,
They aren't entirely dumb, they are just crazy and clever. They are a high threat but you just can't dislike them.
And that's exactly how Jevil is (and most of the antagonists in DR so far and UT).
I truly believe with all my heart that the B motif is Kris's theme.
Theorist will point to this as proof that everything involves gaster in some way
Of course it fuckn would, he’s a nonexistent existent entity stuck in the void
I personally think that C is just more of Don't Forget. It's definitely singable during that part.
I can’t be the only one who realizes dialtone is literally just the circus
It seems to me that Jevil went crazy because of the queen, because she wanted everyone to laugh evilly, and I think he was her first test subject ...
In attack of the killer queen, you can actually hear a part of it ad well
Ngl the Nightmare Knight thing could be in deltarune at some point. It fits with the lore, and could be good for a secret boss.
I didin't realise there is so many Jevil letimotifs 😯
Missed opportunity to change the heart to jevil's face, and make Jevil look like he's smiling (when he like throws the mini Spades at you) when the leitmotif plays
Wanna bet that the next secret boss gonna have a Big Shot leitmotif?
6 songs huh?
The fact that the world revolving is in spamtons theme (another secret boss) makes me believe that secret bosses in later chapters will use it as well.
So cool
You can also hear it in Pandora Palace and Attack of the Killer Queen at the end
WAIT THERES A DONT FORGET MOTIF IN THE WORLD REVOLVING AND I ONLY NOW JUST REALIZED???
THE WORLD REVOLVING HAS THE WORLD REVOLVING IN IT??!!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?
Plot twist
it’s also in Tough Guy Alert! on Mario & Luigi Bowsers Inside Story
edit: i mean the ost version, not in game.
I think what you call the "A" section is really just a different motif entirely
probably late but my theory is all the Shadow Crystal unlocks and fights will have the world revolving part in it so its not really the world revolving just the Shadow Crystal theme or whatever.
Knight's theme.
I think every secret boss will have the world revolving leitmotif in their music
I guess he really can do anything
i somewhat hear ralsei talking noise in nightmare knight out of the right ear (im wearing headphones) its probably a coincidence
