"Is that cat dead?" Yes, actually, at least in real life. That cat represents the creator's cat, Mew, who died shortly after the start of work on week 2. He looks like that because Mew was a very thin cat. The idea was that Mew would sort of live on in the game.
Something about that cat in the mod: The creator of this mod @KittyPop said that they wanted to memorialise their cat. And decided that the cat would be a therapy cat for BB ❤
i don't know if any1 put the story in the comments but i'm gonna still do it cause this mod is awesome So, Big Brother (BB) protected GF from the killer (Armaros ) from being shot. GF called Daddy Dearest and begged him to revive BB from his shot to the heart, this is why he has heart issues and his eyes are white. That is also another good point. His eyes. In the photo of him, BF and Older Bro, BB is shown with black eyes. But when he was shot, his eyes went white. This is also why he can see ghosts in the song Worry. This is somewhat related but he's a bounty hunter because the ghosts tell him where the targets are (That's why he said it was "easy money"). Also when the week ended, and in red text someone said "Michael", that is actually BB's name. And at the end when it said "Signed: [name redacted]", that was meant to signify the killer/Armaros. He had an unknown name in heaven but when he fell, he was given a new name, Armaros, the name meaning The Cursed One. Last thing, kinda related, if you check the Big Brother mod's Wiki/Funkipedia, it shows some photos from when BB was first shot (it being on the news, clues, etc.) Hope this insanely long comment filled in a few blanks any one has about the story :) (P.
