I don't think many people realize how fucking impressive that is. He didn't just do a cover, he hit the EXACT same notes while doing it in a deeper register. Seriously that's insanely good and difficult to do.
While staying on pitch (even an octave below for a man) is good, for a professional musician (or aspiring one) to really make it live and in the studio, it's absolutely necessary to be on pitch. I was very impressed with Caleb, but if we're going to give both good and bad criticism, let's give it on parts that are harder to get for a musician :)

This just proves how good a job Caleb Hyles did with his cover, for it to be so on pitch to the point it can be played WITH the theatrical version and mix in perfectly is an incredibly difficult thing to do. So props to Caleb Hyles for his amazing performance and I can only hope he gets the attention he so rightfully deserves through this cover and collab!
I also have to point out, not only did Caleb do a phenomenal job with his performance, but this video was mixed incredibly well. The timing with the edits here is a professional quality job. Fantastic effort on both ends to make this happen.
I honestly still don't understand this... Mind you I am not a good vocalist at all... but I never understood what it is so hard about people synching to the song. It comes rather naturally to me but then again I sung like crazy since I was 4 (DANG Puberty! you ruined me voice :P) I've seen people try to do harmonies where they weren't in the same room on RUclips and fail spectacularly (That is why Mermaid Melody Fandubs are so dreaded!). Is it just that you have to develop that skill and these people are just people who have a pleasant voice but no practice?
Not entirely sure what you're trying to say, but you do know he sang this separately on his own before someone else lined them up together, yeah? So him being in complete harmony without even having the youtube video to sing along with is partly why this is so amazing. The alignment issues are incredibly minor and honestly weren't even needed, but just helped clean it up even more.
Ben King Ohh I am aware, I've seen his original video first. I am aware what he did was impressive... I just don't understand what is so hard about it from personal experience. I wanted to know the mechanics or trails that would make this difficult.
lol he can but dont make assumptions that out of 100,000,000 men hes the only one lol ok just "men", but not every men can sing, if you take other singers and make them sing this song i bet most of them can, adam lambert would be one of them ;) he could hit those high notes all day and famous singers like mariah carey etc could also destroy this song i bet.
Misael V. I don't think you quite understand the extreme range that this man just covered. Eb2 to Eb5. That's THREE octaves without excessive use of falsetto. Anything above a B4 is near impossible for most tenors to sing, a Eb5 is pretty much unheard of. His 1 in every billion men is probably pretty accurate.
Tigerstain Are you like a vocal master or something? how do you know it was that exact note? ive heard adam lambert go higher than that so am not sure if it is indeed such a high note, but the mans a beast no doubt about it, i just dont think hes the only one who could hit notes like that, ive seen videos like "top 10 best male vocalists" and such and they go way higher, it may be with falsetto but i dont think so, either way the guys a beast who cares. And he does have a very nice and smooth lower range which makes his range even more impressive.
Misael V. You are right that there are a lot of men who can sing really high (usually guys who sing high also talk in a high pitched voice) but what makes this an amazing male version of this song is that he can go so low as well and then go from low to high in one note. He has a unique range. Adam Lambert would make a great candidate to sing this song. However, I believe this guy can not be beat. Watch the original version on his channel. You're right though...
duke bryant I'm glad that whoever made the bots wasted their money and time, because nobody will take the bots votes seriously. Only a complete idiot would waste their money on time on such an obviously fruitless attempt.
tokokok how can you possibly call his voice rough? i think he might have the widest vocal range ive ever heard in a man, which is impressive enough in its own right, but he is also extremely well articulated, as he goes up and down in his extreme range he never loses that well pronounced coherence. so often do singers get muddled and their articulations become murky when making such big transitions, but i never felt like he lost that. he has a very powerful voice, especially in the lower ranges, but powerful and rough are two very different things... a very well-deserved THUMBS DOWN to you, my friend!
It's good, but that's not harmonizing. He was singing the same notes that she was, so it's unison. Sometimes they were in the same octave, and other times, he was an octave below her. But it's still considered singing in unison.
I am positively blown away by Caleb Hyles' voice. Idina has always been phenomenal, but this guy... OMG... his range is amazing, he has absolutely fantastic sound... consider me an instant fan!
Heh, it seems like Travolta thought that too :P www.rollingstone.com/movies/news/john-travolta-apologizes-to-frozen-star-idina-menzel-for-oscar-flub-20140305
saw both versions on separate occasions. then saw this video on recommended videos. i automatically knew this could only end epically. and man was it EPIC. there aren't even enough words in the english language that could properly describe that ending when you hear both of them do that high note. lol. simply amazing.
I love this! I think Caleb kinda overpowers Idina slightly, but that's probably just the way he sang it and not something you could have fixed. I hope Disney doesn't remove this...
***** That and...well...as a Bass, it's hard to be heard over Altos and Sopranos, so we have to sing really loud most of the time, since higher notes ring clearer than lows. (Ever notice how men can't be heard in crowds but women ring clear? That's it there.)
I've been listening to this for three days straight, still can't get over it. Just tried listening to the normal version. The regular version sounds like something is missing without Caleb singing alongside.
BRUUUUUUUH!!!!!! this is extremely hard to do! And he did this in what I believe is a baritone (?) Key! So when he hit some of those high notes is extremely amazing! And the harmony!!! The harmony is purely beautiful! Although he did hit "stand" a few beats early. All in all this is simply amazing!!!
Ningitsu I'm Actually a music and voice major in university so I know a little bit. And no harmonizing is singing in different intervals in a chord which adds to the depth of the sound. They are singing the same notes. Hence unison.
Ningitsu Harmonizing would be two people singing different parts of a chord (usually notes of a tonic pattern if they're in a major key) which, in turn, compliment each other. Idina and Caleb, in this video, are in complete unison, there is no harmony happening here.
Not until after reading these comments did I realise that they were in complete unison THE WHOLE WAY THROUGH. I thought there was at least one harmony but I guess not. Good day, sirs.
The way Caleb phases with the female vocal is just incredible. I honestly thing his voice is up there with Freddie Mercury. His vocal range is nothing short of miraculous.
If only Caleb Hyles and Idina Menzel perform this duet in real with official arrangements... would make a perfect song! xD this edited version is already awesome though! good job xD
MY OPINION: In the Frozen Sequel (YES THEY'RE MAKIN A SEQUEL), they should have a plot twist, where Anna and Elsa have an unknown brother, and then they sing a song as beautiful as this with Gabriel as the singer. Anyone agree?
This was amazing!!!!! I was truly stunned after the video. Your voice is absolutely amazing! If I had a voice as amazing as yours I would never stop singing!
THEY BROUGHT IT BACK!! AHHH :D
Yep they does

ey
Woot woot!! Idina FTW! :D I love Korea!!
This guy is the one singing in the video. Like the shit out of his comment
you should go to the oscars and sing it with her! your fantastic!
MrsSeverusSnape123
This.
MrsSeverusSnape123
that would be incredible XD
Loved your vocal sir! Wish I can be you someday :D
I don't think many people realize how fucking impressive that is. He didn't just do a cover, he hit the EXACT same notes while doing it in a deeper register. Seriously that's insanely good and difficult to do.
Exactly!
2:58-3:01 shows how in tune Caleb is! It is actually moving to hear.
Bacbi I think the shivers in anyone's spine kind of let them know how good this is ;)
While staying on pitch (even an octave below for a man) is good, for a professional musician (or aspiring one) to really make it live and in the studio, it's absolutely necessary to be on pitch. 1 in 100,000 women can sing Let It Go perfectly. 1 in 100,000,000 men can nail this song. This guy is amazing!

***** o i did right before this one actually, have no idea how this guy is not well known. Definetly deserves recognition.
a guy reaching a pitch that high..and could reach the low pitches too....Speechless
He is such a great singer. Looks like he's a tenor ?
Lekurishkun I'd guess bass tenor.
SvNOrigami I agree. He can get the higher range of the bass and the full range of a tenor. That's also called a Baritone.
Disney frozen 2013 movie
I can do it, but I have to stretch a little
Wow, there are actually existing people on this planet who dislike this? They were either deaf, or jealous fools.
This compilation is powerful.
***** there are usually 12-25 bots that dislike every video
duke bryant I'm glad that whoever made the bots wasted their money and time, because nobody will take the bots votes seriously.
Only a complete idiot would waste their money on time on such an obviously fruitless attempt.
I disliked, I personally wasn't a fan of his rough voice.
tokokok how can you possibly call his voice rough? i think he might have the widest vocal range ive ever heard in a man, which is impressive enough in its own right, but he is also extremely well articulated, as he goes up and down in his extreme range he never loses that well pronounced coherence. so often do singers get muddled and their articulations become murky when making such big transitions, but i never felt like he lost that. he has a very powerful voice, especially in the lower ranges, but powerful and rough are two very different things... a very well-deserved THUMBS DOWN to you, my friend!
David Whitten yEAHH
Let him sing,
Let him sing,
I love this guy's cover so much!
They surely have to sing on stage together :)
It would be terrific if he would join her when she sings this on the Academy Awards. We can hope...
Mark Cothern I agree with you... it'll be stunning there
Yes they should they sound perfect together!
perfect couple
They compliment each other's voices surprisingly well.
2:21 Omg, they harmonized!! They harmonized!! This is impossibly good! I can't even imagine the movie without a duet anymore... ;_;
While I certainly like the duet, I don't think they were harmonizing at 2:21... They seem to be singing the same note but just in different octaves
It's good, but that's not harmonizing. He was singing the same notes that she was, so it's unison. Sometimes they were in the same octave, and other times, he was an octave below her. But it's still considered singing in unison.
They were singing in unison
Ambyrhawke Shadowsinger you really know music
bitch pls 3:26 XD
Caleb himself liked this!!!!!!! ♥
I am positively blown away by Caleb Hyles' voice. Idina has always been phenomenal, but this guy... OMG... his range is amazing, he has absolutely fantastic sound... consider me an instant fan!
8 years ago, same thought to me.
This Caleb dude should've sung this at the Oscars with Adele Dazeem.
Why are all these people here mentioning some girl Idina Menzel?Never heard of her. xD
Andro A Quite simply because she is the singer in the movie :)
DoodleFox Thought it was Adele Dazeem.
Heh, it seems like Travolta thought that too :P

Caleb this duo is iconic. Both powerful voices.
I think I was just blown away by the sheer epicness of this video.....
Poor replay button, it never asked for this kind of abuse.
just put the word "repeat" after word "youtube" in URL address and hit enter. Problem solved.
Robert Kabat JESUS CHRIST YOU HAVE MADE MY DAY MY LIFE WILL NEVER BE THE SAME OMG YOU ARE THE BEST
Glad I could help ;)
Robert Kabat You realize you just made life for everyone amazing, right?
Tigerstain LMFAO 😂
That little "ha" at 1:26
Omg..I died. ; w ;
I just love it, I have no other words to say how GREAT this is.
Wellp.... That made me cry manly tears of sheer awesomeness.
So, can we talk about how he pitched his voice up to her level? That is some range he has to go from that deep to the mid to the highs!
Idina Menzel and Caleb Hyles, singing a duet.
IDINA MENZEL AND CALEB HYLES.
This is everything. Swoon.
tell me I'm not alone in this did anyone else get chills listening to this awesome Duet so good great video .
Definitely. Chills 🤯
That song is like 10 thousand time better when you know what happen before that scene in the movie! :O
Love this guy's vocals! Best version ever. You can feel the emotions in his voice.
I love this! I think Caleb kinda overpowers Idina slightly, but that's probably just the way he sang it and not something you could have fixed. I hope Disney doesn't remove this...
Yeah I agree with you and it's totally just Caleb putting a little more lung power behind his singing.
Well, the Frozen side has her singing and the music, his side had just him.
***** That and...well...as a Bass, it's hard to be heard over Altos and Sopranos, so we have to sing really loud most of the time, since higher notes ring clearer than lows. (Ever notice how men can't be heard in crowds but women ring clear? That's it there.)
This version with Both Caleb Hyles and Idina Menzel is freaking awesome
Yeah
Highest note is perfectly synced! 😱😱😱👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
"I don't care... What they're going to say"
Elsa, stop freezing your duet partner...
HOLY SHIT THAT WAS AWESOME! And the voices really work well together! *adds to favorites*
Asger Dyrholm I thumbed you down sir because you misspelled "too".
this duet...gave me soo many chills. I can't even...
PonderingAbby Likewise hahaha.
The let it go song is the best song ever made. And all the covers to it is awesome as well.
Their KEY matched! Their tones matched! Oh my! Goosebumps!
When they were in sync for the high note
Oh my Godness... just couple of singers send chills like that my spine... this is AWESOME!
Love it... Disney should consider of him!
I've been listening to this for three days straight, still can't get over it. Just tried listening to the normal version. The regular version sounds like something is missing without Caleb singing alongside.
Two amazing voices united.......
INCREDIBLY AMAZIIINGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So much talent here!!!!!!
My replay button has just broken *-*
The last high note is so perfect-pitched, btw all the song is totally perfect-pitched...
Just loved it !
It's scary how that high note was almost completely identical. I'm kind of jealous.
I just can't stop listening to this. Is it possible to like it thousand, million, billion times all over again?! Please...
2:26- 2:30 wow truly amazing for a guy to reach that note that was gift from God wow amazing
Took me half a minute and I was in tears. Gods what a voice!
Well editted, and they both harmonize perfectly! I LOVE BOTH VIDEOS! AND THIS ONE EVEN MORE
they're in unison not harmonizing...
Tanner Griffin You sir, know nothing of a music do you? Their voices combine to a good blend which compliments them both. That is harmonizing.
Ningitsu I'm Actually a music and voice major in university so I know a little bit. And no harmonizing is singing in different intervals in a chord which adds to the depth of the sound. They are singing the same notes. Hence unison.

I LOVE the way it sounds when a man and woman sing on exactly the same note, though their voices are so different. Beautiful!
The way Caleb phases with the female vocal is just incredible. I honestly thing his voice is up there with Freddie Mercury. His vocal range is nothing short of miraculous.
I used to play their videos together side by side manually...now I can just click, play and enjoy this...AWESOMAZING!!! THANK YOU FOR THIS!!!
Simply amazing. Say no more
Good job, Gabriel. Caleb's the best choice with Idina. Really enjoyed this video.
this is nice!!! i love the cover made by that guy, and this video perfectly combined them as a duet!
That's arguably better than the original!!!
If only Caleb Hyles and Idina Menzel perform this duet in real with official arrangements... would make a perfect song! xD
this edited version is already awesome though! good job xD
The moments like the one at the end where their voices just sync is so... omg just so perfectly amazing... my god man ur blessed
Dear Disney. Please hire this man...
The singers and the guy putting this together are AWESOME!
This is beautiful.....i love both singers.
This is perfection.
The Best Duet for this song.
If you ever feel sad, just remember this big, deep, manly voice singing "flurries"
This needs harmony, the melody is just driving into each other. But other than that, awesome.
Disney should really concider having this guy in their next movie.
How does this not have a billion views its fantastic and exactly what the Internet needs
I was hoping for this!!!!!!! Thank you!!!!!!!
I don't throw out epics lightly, but that was truly epic.
Way much better than Demi. I bet Demi cannot hit high notes like Caleb did.
surprisingly not to argue with you but, she actually can
Robin Kang I want to hear her singing a classic ballad song without applying any pop style.
nah nah man she can!, with her handy dandy autotune :)
I guess the only way to find out is.... with a contest!
Robin Kang Sounds good...
Great job you did with the sync. And both are great performers of course!
this is the video youtuybe was waiting for. great job. we can all go home now.
This mash-up needed to happen so, so badly. Made my day!
I didn't think there was a way that this song could sound better...but apparently I was wrong :D
holy crap. the synchronization of it all is really intense
I have to say, the feeling watching this video gave me was equivalent to... walking on thin ice.
THIS GAVE ME SO MANY CHILLS!!
Brilliant.
caleb would totally be a snowman in this movie
어색함이 없네 첨부터 이렇게 만들었다 해도 믿겠어
정말 대단하다 실력도 편집도
These two make a perfect duet!
Now if only Caleb could collaberate with Idena for real!
Toni Leaf how about yes
damnnnnn... this is awesome
Much music, many range, such octave, wow
I thought that this would just be the entirety of both songs on top of each other but this was sooo much better :)
How can anyone dislike this?
Possibly someone who hit it by accident I know ive done so on occasion and didnt know how to reverse it
They live in a parallel universe. They push thumb down if they like it
I... I just... I don't know what to say. This is just beautiful. Didn't watch the movie yet, but I'm in love...
awesome duet I like it.
Same key with Idina! can't believe you can sing!!! AAAAAAwesome!!!!!!
So epic. Frozen is such a great movie.
This is actually really well done. Not just his voice, but the editing.
MY OPINION:
In the Frozen Sequel (YES THEY'RE MAKIN A SEQUEL), they should have a plot twist, where Anna and Elsa have an unknown brother, and then they sing a song as beautiful as this with Gabriel as the singer. Anyone agree?
Joey Erickson NO
Amanda Bellini what
Joey Erickson It was actually confirmed by the director that Tarzan is their actual long lost brother. Tarzan singing.... huh.
+Joey Erickson of
Saheel Nazir what?
I think my heart stopped for a second. Wow That wass INCREDIBLE!!!
Am i the only one who want's to see a sequel to this movie with Celeb being introduced as a new character?
that was better than I'd expected and it is already an awesome song!!
That crazy moment when the guy hits the SAME EXACT NOTE as the girl...freaking unreal
Finally I can watch my favorite version while the kids watch theirs. Thanks!
OMFG WTF I SHIP THIS SO HARD
I AM SO GLAD IT'S NOT JUST ME
this is actually really great.
Awesome job, seriously.
This was amazing!!!!! I was truly stunned after the video. Your voice is absolutely amazing! If I had a voice as amazing as yours I would never stop singing!
Celeb is one only... Amazing man
Caleb and Elsa should have their Disney movie/story written with Bollywood element.
Best cover yet
Disney should animate the scene again but with Caleb instead of Elsa. Great plan.
Just.. amazing. I don't have any words to describe how beautifiul this song is for me!
