Run a bead of silicone sealer in the channel on the bottom of the box. Use the same sealer to seal the wires and that hole right on up. The sealer will flex and stay pliable in hot or cold🇺🇸👍🏻
Hopefully this will help other Valkyrie owners... The pins in the driveshafts that are prone to breaking can be replaced with a 3/32 drill bit shank! I just finished, this evening as a mater of fact, replacing the diff oils in my Valkyrie MT and i found 3 out of 8 pins that where broke. Now i expect that the drill bit should be tougher than the oe pin... Front and rear diffs are have 100k i think but not much. Center has 200k but again not much. Now mine are filled with 100k front and rear and 20mil center. We'll see what the next bash does! So excited!
So the 3/32 drill bit? If I got this right, you bought some 3/32 drill bits and cut the drill bit part off, then cut the rest of it to size to fit where the stock pins go?
@DaltonKemp yes that's correct, I used the solid non flighted end of the bit. Use loctite on the retention set screw afterwards though or your new pin will walk itself out. I learned that the hard way.
And to anyone out there with these trucks. If ur truck is down with a broken outer drive axle. U can order the replacement part from buddys rc for the wov, I ordered mine last week got em in today. And that fit perfect. Redcat says they don’t know when they will have them back in stock
It is a pretty well built truck fir sure. For my personal style of driveing will hold up well very glad that I bought one. Though i gotta say the traxxas arrma combo is trama !.....lol
Is your Hey Google voice British or New Zealand? I made mine Australian, for some Crocodile Dundee vibes. You could pull the PCB out of the receiver and smear on some conformal coating, or pour in thin epoxy, being careful not to let the epoxy reach the pins. Clear nail polish is decent conformal coating, ask your wife to borrow some.
Very surprised you had issues with the stock system. I have the MT version and the esc/motor combination work flawlessly together. Now I did add a Spektrum avc receiver with a dx5Pro. The stock receiver and transmitter are terrible. That said, it is probably the smoothest driving vechile I own, all the way up to nearly 65 mph. This truck on 4s, wipes the floor with a large number of 6s vechiles let alone 4s. There is no 4s in its category. I also own the Maxx and this crushes it in nearly every category. 6s seems like overkill for this. I can't imagine it making it much faster and I would definitely think it would affect the handling being heavier. Right as it is, it handles on par with my Armma Talion exb.
@@XWXW-lk4jf 🤣 guess you misunderstand my thoughts on this RC. Extremely capable $300 RC vehicle from Redcat. A 6s ESC just provides smoother power while still using 3 to 4S pack. On many of my videos you can hear what I call the bird chirp and it is where the ESC is not transitioning smooth power between itself and the motor. It may in fact be the motor, but it is more minimized with the more powerful ESC. The weight difference between the two is negligible. I do not plan to run 6s on a consistent basis but reference that the drivetrain can handle it in a limited way. The gearing is 6s capable the drive shafts not so much. For the money, this type of RC If it's what you desire it's a very good option. Traxxas on the other hand provides a way different experience and they normally provide a full compliment of upgrades ready for you to purchase at the drop and their part support is very long-lasting. Arma, on the other hand, not so much.
@@rcguygarage Traxxas does think about those types of things better. Like with the waterproof receiver box, plus the Maxx is designed in a way where it is very well protected against debris getting in. While it is slower and handles like a brick. It does offer excellent protection in the right places. The Maxx/Slash sits wide open for debris to come in as do most 6s Arrmas which offer little to any protection against debris. Nearly completely exposed to the elements given that Spektrum esc requires a ridiculous amount of airflow in order to work properly.

It's a Redcat, it's a 300.00 dollar Redcat, it has Redcat value, the Vigilante, these 4S rigs fall apart gradually, the proof is in countless videos. I'll stick with Horizon Hobby products, the value and quality is proven and that's why they're the industry leader in value while traxxas strong arms hobby shops, that's their thing. Almost pulled the trigger on one of these 4S models, nah.
Devalue? Do you always look for sales before buying a product? Most products have both net assets, and gross asset prices. They are initially sold at gross but eventually go on sale. Arrma is no different from any other products in this regard. Unlike, Traxxas chooses not to put its products on sale, which seems greedy. Traxxas should reconsider its approach and adapt to the market before it's too late. Perhaps the business class you attended shows differently. My2¢. Have Fun
