Great video. Always loved trail riding on dirt bike. This looks so much fun in go karts
Great video guys! I love the muddy water crossings it sucks the belt was slipping but it seemed to hook up again pretty quickly after. Respect on those builds!
Luv it more videos like this Red Beard. Cant wait to see the 670cc upgrades
lots to come man thanks for watching
Man that looks like so much fun, I wish I had an area like that to be able to ride around in.
rather B welding Love your channel
Where are you located? Email me at greg@rbgkarts.com I have some video propositions for you
+rather B welding +Red Beard's Garage Collab!!!
Awwww man RBG and Rather B Welding collab???? That would be NICE!
Red Beard's Garage that is fun as fuck makes me want to go back to Tennessee we had trails in the woods behind our house when we lived in Tennessee and we all had our own buggy's like that I had a 2 person fox buggy with a 10hp Honda GX governor all the way up torque converter that would do 70 mph all had a little 150cc buggy like that other buggy I had a kazuma falcon 125 we all had our own homemade mini rail buggy's made out of old riding lawnmowers put quad tires on front and back my little brother had a Kawasaki bayou 400 4×4 and my youngest brother had a little kazuma 110 that look like a mini 4×4 quad our dad had a Honda rancher 250 2 wheel drive utility quad and we had trails that went from one part of the ridge to the other side we could ride all day and not go down the same trail
it's pretty amazing how much you can haul with such a small engine like the gy6. It's no racecar but it did go trough every slope.
Yeah we actually love it
I love going riding in the woods with my family. We have a garage full of go karts.I live all the way in Pennsylvania if not I could of went riding with you guys.keep up the great work
I love it love it. I'm so jealous
You guys should do a build off against carsandcamras
Read Beard does a much smoother build than C&C. I think they ad lib a little too much on builds at times, which lowers the capabilities, and makes them prone to failure...
Please do more of these videos this is awesome I freaking love it
My favorite video yet
Great Video RedBeard!
Haven't even finished the video and had to compliment you. I watch a lot of mower romp video's but not too many go kart romps. 👍I loved it. Hopefully u make more videos like it.
We will man thanks for watching
you put smile in my face men ... nice adventure...
Yup I'm jealous. Looks like much more fun than I'm having sitting at work. Can't wait to see these bigger builds you've been hinting at.
Maybe get a cover on the 670 to help keep belt drier?
Yeah I have a cover in the garage but we are about to do independent suspension on it so that will keep it up out of the water some also
nothing like having fun with childhood friends uv known ur whole life.!!
man that looked like so much fun, I was thinking how cool it would of been if I had my FL350 odyssey riding with you guys. Love the video man
Yeah If we still had it then it would for sure have been with us. Thanks for watching man
I can't believe a tiny little 150 kept up the way it did! not to mention the carts holding up after taking such a beating!! I like love your vids and you do some really nice work. I like cars and cameras and rather b welding too. Man, if all you guys got together I can just imagine some of the wicked shit yall would put together. Keep up the good work!
That's actually the fun stuff getting stuck pulling each other out I enjoy that
Looks like an awesome ride. I've got a Twister Hammerhead 150. With a few simple mods those 150s will really surprise you with how capable they are. Looks like yours was running great.
That's what I got the Hammerhead Twister 150 what kind of mods did you do please and thank you
Great video
Its amazing that small GY6 150cc motor shreds the same trails as the 670. I have a Baja DUNE 150 made by TOMBERLIN and it's all tricked out and mine rips the trails in SoCal too. I'm 65 and 175lbs. A favorite toy of mine.
Dang , that's a nice off road place to go karting. Dont you worry that you might break something and be stuck? Hey Redbeard .. I love your channel, educational and fun to watch!! I'm a welder so I know what's what. Thank you guys . I wanna take out my yerf dog asap!! Thanks Jimbo
I had a Powell Super Challenger mini bike, it used the torque converter setup as you have, my Powell used a 5 hp Briggs & Stratton and the motor pivoted on its base forwards and back wards to set the belt low or high in the drive pulley so if the motor was fully forwards it was riding in the lower part of the pulley behaving like a low range, not much speed but climb anything, pull the motor back and the belt rides on the upper part of the drive pulley, slow to take off but way more top end, the motor had a chrome lever with a knob atop it and a chromed coil was fastened along the frame above the motor that a tang on the lever slipped into the coils gaps holding the motor in whatever range you wanted, I had a Tote Gote with a 3.5 hp Briggs and torque converter setup about 40 to 1, it would climb a pole if it had traction but it didn't coast off throttle, it was weird riding it on the street turning a slow U turn, you had to be accelerating or the back lash from the gearing was like touching the brakes!
Those buggies take a FLOGGING!!
well, that was pretty good
Cool man I love it I love my ktm up there and my fathers 650 hona rincon
so much fun
Love your videos.you should do a build off between cars and camera
Great video! I love the trail rides!

Noice cart boo boo
so epic
Great Smokey mountains. Y'all stay out of my stills now. Lol. I hear them carts a whining over yonder. P.S. keep up the great content. You are a cool dude.
Thanks for watching man. Lots more to come
You ever thought of making a AWD kart using a 670 and some gearboxes to tie all the wheels together? Basically you build like a miniature axle like a vehicle that has positive rear end. By using a gearbox gear ratios of many sizes are possible. And by adding a power steering pump you could make it all wheel steer so you could crab walk also.
Yeah we have plans to do a big build with a 670 soon
Red Beard's Garage I'll be waiting for it.
i have, i made my own awd system for my lawn tractor and will use the same on the sand rail / 2 seater dune buggy im building
Can't wait for the collab with the cboys
+Jackson Tide yeah I'm pretty pumped about it. Going to build them a sweet drift trike
Awesome trail! Half the time it looked like you were one wrong bump away from a quick trip over the side. I actually found myself holding my breath during a couple of sphincter-tightening bounces. :)
Lol we probably should have been wearing helmets
This gave me an idea, a quad 4 wheel drive running gear mated to a gokart. Lifted of course. A mini rock crawler.
Tony Harrell suzuki sidekick small off road/rock climbing wheel fully tubbed would be nice
Wondering if it's possible to do a double torque converters for more belt grip.
That 150 is a beast I didn't expect it to do so good
I wonder wat brand it is but i love it
its a zircon but now its the carbide 150cc
Agreed! I'm in the market for a cart and I have no personal experience to reference what size engine I would be happy with. I have only heard people talking down the 150cc but after seeing its performance here I was surprised the negative stigma. Obviously you have added some performance parts to it but this video has given me some confidence that a 150cc wouldn't be a complete disappointment, obviously we all love more power if we can get it though! This was an enjoyable video to watch, thanks guys!
You can change the rollers and springs to make the cvt work better
I have a polaris ace 150 gy6. In my massimo linhai m150. Prob the same motor in that hammerhead. Easy reliable bulletproof. And waay modificationable
Definitely do all you can with suspension it should help alot
Great video. A street bike engine like your bro said would be sweet. Alote of work to pull that kind of engine swap off though. Would have to be dedicated to it.👍
He has his about 75% done with a gsxr 600 engine and trans on it
Red Beard's Garage I was going to do a similar build with my 2 person fox buggy like that buggy you have the 670 on I was going to put the motor on my Suzuki gsx600f katana or my 1982 Suzuki GS650 until I got the 10hp Honda GX governor all the way up and torque converter its just fine for the riding I do with it
Red Beard's Garage do or did y'all have a video of that kart in action on the trail like this??? I would love to see that
Nothing like some Smoke Mountains riding. We do it once a year when in Gatlinburg on vacation.
I would love to do a big meet up and everybody ride in the mountains on the karts
That would be awesome
Thats so fun i wish i have a go kart :(
COOL
All-wheel-drive on independent suspension!
hello I have a 670 predator I have also encountered the exhaust problem of blowing the wrong direction I used the original flanges from the muffler bought 1 inch conduit pipe from Lowes and then I ordered two one inch hard 90s off of Amazon and I was able to build a very nice header and use a cool motorcycle muffler on my UTV with the 670 Predator engine. I will do a complete video of all the mods I've done to my UTV and the Predator engine very soon and upload it to RUclips thanks
Man that zircon was really ripping it up. It seemed like a slug on the other videos. Whatever you did woke it up. Couldn't the 670 catch can be mounted high and return line gravity feed to a valve cover? At the end of the video we finally got to see the sheer torque of the 670. My dream engine for a kart from the first day I saw it at HF. It would be an awesome minibike motor for an oversized scratch built frame. You should lookup 6.5hp pickup.
Yeah I may do a return on it in a later video thanks for watching.
You sho did send it!!!
I can hear them banjos from here
Curti muito o vídeo
RBG I took if my cover and i noticed my cam is not lined up by the 2 dotes do i line them up or leave it alone and iv been running it like that let me know plz
+4Play Racing I would line them up
What size front tire do you have on the 670 kart? That looks like an awesome trail to ride.
20" links are in the description
Ol' Zircon bless her heart
Nick we was in a store yesterday and seen some pogo sticks and I said "theres nick" lol
Red Beard's Garage haha that's funny man. If you ever find old pogo sticks at a thrift store they would probably make great suspension components for a buggy! Lol
Just got me a 150cross fire runs great but thinking 377skido or 360scrambler or 750yamaha got a few projects I could toss in her or 260efi gy6
The 670 really needs some kind of a cage. It would look a lot better. The 150 was impressive. They both were, but the 150 was surprising.
Yeah the 150cc are better than people say they are. Also I was barely doing anything with the 670cc. She had a lot in her. I plan on stretching the frame a little and building a cage
Red Beard's Garage I'd like to see it. One question, I'm not a small engine connoisseur, but can y'all do an independent rear suspension? And what about a larger motor on the zcon?
Only in Dixie!!!!🤠
How do you make them climb hills my clutch or torque converter always slips under to much torque
THAT'S SIMILAR TO MY MOUNTAIN OUT BACK.BUT ROUGHER , FAIRVIEW, NC
time for a 4X4 build lol using utility quad parts 💯
Already have the parts to build it.
What ratios did each of these have and what size tires?
Can this engine manage a go kart 10 feet long and 600 pounds ? 4 person buggy ?..
I have a 150cc what you recomend to change for climb like that
its 6,5hp good for offroad gokart? I have transmission from motorbike with manual clutch (4gears) . I will put this transmission to this engine.
has 6,5hp engine enough power to me?
It might be pretty good with a trans on it by itself with a cvt its not
I want one!
Same but i dont have money
Pain. Go. Korts
Hi how do you keep the transmission belt thing (sorry forgot the term) from slipping when going up steeper hills? Oh, just heard someone say its slipping. If there was a workaround for a stronger tranny system, please post it. I will do the same!
Im thinking up pulling up roots and heading south. I own a powder coat shop so where is a nice area with places like this. Man that looks fun.
By the way i was born in Mississippi so im not all yankee
you should do a long suspension build and do some serious trail riding.
We have plans to do one in the next year or so
How does the 670cc do on a spiderbox? Which one would you go with 670cc or 420cc?
It is awesome. I just patted the gas through the ride and never really got to give it all it had. Lots of upgrades coming to this kart on the channel
you need to make a four wheel drive go kart :D
Already go the plans and parts for one
Ayeeee I live in North Carolina
Which torque converter setup did you use with the 670cc?
40 series in this video but going to do a 780 series from go power sports real soon that can handle 55hp
Do the go karts you have, have torque converters, or are you using bike engines with different setup, sorry I'm new to this channel
I have a question I have a Manco Scorpion 606 ! Is there a way to upgrade the tie rods? As well best motor for trail riding ! Don’t care for speed
Im sure you could build stronger tie rods for it but I don't know if there is any on the market. For trial riding I like the v twins but you get into a lot of money when going that big. If you don't want to pay that much defiantly a 440cc.
i update the back some with a even so both tires you see them line and put stronger bearing in the back
Hey, how do these compare to the real deal Honda Odyssey. Been wanting something like it but I don't wanna he dissapointed in capability. I know they'll never touch a quad but still.
+Matthew Trent stay tuned. We are about to make the 670cc ridiculous
About how much steel on the 2 seater? Thanks!
+JKV what do you mean
RBG I got my mikuni love it but what do I do with the 2 hose im afraid if dirt gets in there what do I put
The one from the tank you can run down to the ground. The one on the valve cover you can run to a small air filter
Hey red beard, do u have a Tao Tao go kart? I just got into go karts... they are awesome!
I was expecting to see bigfoot at any time!!
Hey RedBeard have you ever thought about putting a hayabusa or some other sport bike engine on a go kart???? That would be badass!!!!
Yeah we will be building one very soon
What cart performed better the 150 or 670. I have a 150 in mine now thinking of doing a swap.
670 did way better but both was a blast
Red Beard's Garage what mods did you do to the 670
What kind of torque converter?
yup thas Tenn. alright
OK I'm sold , looks like fun in the woods . Where do you get one of those off road carts ?
Go power sports sells the 150cc karts
So does kart get break easily?
Did y'all see Bigfoot out there?
I would be taking than to the beach or gravel so you can open them up a bit
What kind of kart is the one red beard is in please respond thanks
Yerfdog Spiderbox
Need to put a street bike motor in the 670
Is it possible to call you guys? Or email you? I just got my first Kandi 150cc and I’m replacing a log of parts. I’m wondering if I can put a vertical 420cc engine on it? Thanks Cesar.
Hey I have a fox zircon go kart like yours but my carburetors broken. You know where I can get a new one for it?
Look up gy6 150cc carburetor on amazon. You'll see tons for anywhere between 15 bucks to 30 bucks
They are made by American sport works or manco. Fox isnt the brand
How fast will a predator 301cc and a 212cc go with no mods on a normal sized go gart
Depends on how you gear it really
Red Beard's Garage what gear is good for going uphill and 35 mph on flat ground
Alex Novotny variator or gearbox is best solution
BaxoBest ok
You should just swap an old-school vw irs into the 670 or maybe a whole vw swap
It's gods country over there in Tennessee
Yes it is man
How fast will the 670cc run
That all depends on gearing and tire size
Wonder how many old still sites y'all passed by on those trails? 😂
Valeu
And what’s the second one
What battery is on the 670?
www.gopowersports.com/12-volt-9-amp-battery-yb9l-b/
Red Beard's Garage thanks
Do you know of a hydraulic brake that I could install on a kart with a 670 on it? Because all the ones I've seen are rated up to 250cc.
You should make a long a arm long travel suspension go kart
We have plans for one
Awesome! Hey man I really appreciate and think it's cool that you respond
