Sivamani, a well-known percussionist and Padma Shri award winner, emerged from the new Boeing 737-8 aircraft of Air India Express playing on his suitcase and then switched to playing the drums. He then moved on to other traditional Kerala percussion instruments such as the chenda, thimila, and idakka. Sivamani even played the darbuka and mirwas from the Gulf and the gong from Singapore and even on the handrail of the aircraft's step ladder.
കലംകാരി ടെയില്‍ ആര്‍ട്ടോടുകൂടിയ എയര്‍ ഇന്ത്യ എക്‌സ്പ്രസിന്റെ പുതിയ ബോയിംഗ് 737-8 വിമാനത്തില്‍നിന്ന് സൂട്ട്‌കേസില്‍ താളം പിടിച്ച് ഇറങ്ങിവന്ന ശിവമണി ആദ്യം ഡ്രമ്മിലേയ്ക്കും പിന്നീട് ചെണ്ട, തിമില, ഇടയ്ക്ക തുടങ്ങിയ കേരളീയ താളവാദ്യങ്ങളിലേയ്്ക്കും കൊട്ടിക്കയറി. ഗള്‍ഫില്‍നിന്നുള്ള ദര്‍ബുക്കയും മിര്‍വാസും സിംഗപ്പൂരില്‍നിന്നുള്ള ഗോങ്ങും വിമാനത്തിന്റെ സ്റ്റെപ് ലാഡറിന്റെ കൈപ്പിടിയിലും വരെ ശിവമണി താളം മുഴക്കി.
