I just purchased some clematis plants online. They were delivered yesterday. I was so surprised it arrived in January and concerned about planting it now. I live in texas zone 8a. Thanks for the informative yet easy to understand video.
@@LondonSunflower The Clematis Roguchi started to bloom a few days ago. I was shocked to see how small the flowers are. Either the online photos are deceiving or I did not research this type of clematis enough. I hope next year's blooms will be more abundant. Thanks for asking, Marcia
@@idkwhattoputherebuthi153 The Duchess of Edinburgh Clematis has buds everywhere!! It looks great. I can't wait for it to bloom. The clematis roguchi, not so much. It looks dead. I will wait a little longer and trim it back a little. Thanks for asking!!!

With some help. Lattice is too thick for young leaves to grab on to. Get some fishing string & wrap it around the first 2ft of the lattice (go horizontally & space string 2” apart), starting at the bottom to make a sort of “net” for it to grab. As it gets bigger, you can direct bigger leaves to grab on at the lattice holes.

Indeed, well done; thank you.
do you untie it from the bamboo canes that it comes on or do you leave them on and only take them off once the plant has taken off and is established.
Thank you !
